I think MSO has got to be the premier overlanding content on RUclips. Video and audio quality, commentary and soundtracks are top notch guy's. I look forward to S5 bring it.
I Kid you not, The Roost is right down the road from my dads house. You were right in my home town!! Wonderful video! Really making me want to start making my own rig and get out there. Keep up the good stuff!
FWIW - I hit Canada for a 10 day trip up through Alberta / BC area and it was awesome. Not as much dirt road travel as I would have liked, but truly epic scenery and wildlife. I really enjoyed watching your travels, well done!
Pretty epic. I️ think the videos have done exactly what you set out, which I️ think is first to entice people to get out, 2nd to go to Vermont and find the little cool spots, and lastly to just follow along your epic journey. Great work!
The roost is right down the road from my house in bushkill that’s freakin awesome!!! One of these days I’m going to build my truck for some overland trips
Been watching you guys for years, I am finally in the position to pursue a more specialized overlanding outfit. I will be building my 1972 Ford F250 Crew Cab (same color as Boomer) for this purpose. Hopefully y'all will have me on one of your outings when I am ready! My wife also just got me a hat and T shirt from you guys for my birthday, thanks for the extras!! Headed for FR18 this weekend with my Excursion, see y'all on the trails!
I am in Hedgesville, WV, rocking your Mountain State Overland Sticker on the back glass of my plug-in C-Max while building my "Old Blue" crew cab. Lol.
Wonderful series! Thanks for sharing your adventure. Just like the other seasons, great storytelling, filming, and editing. Only this time with more mud!
Really great season. I think you guys hit the sweet spot of great trails and putting the vehicles through some challenging terrain, hitting and showing cool destinations and meeting people, video of you guys just doing what you do, good music, etc. Great job and looking forward to next season.
Wow! I’ve been watching for some time now. Starting with your trip to NJ. I’m on S4E8 and the Times Square Tripp’s was epic..... lol. Liked your channel before, love it now !!!
Brilliant once again Fellas and Gal, your all a great bunch. I look forward to future travels, and enjoy your down time. thanks for sharing and putting the work into production.
Just discovered you guys (and gal) recently. Really love what you’re doing. On your next adventure you should bring Peter out of his safe space (I know that was tough going I meant his home field advantage) in Vermont and roll with you in new a new area/terrain. I also enjoyed how you showcased not just the trails and rigs but also the small towns, cafes, breweries, which gave a sense of flavor to the area you were in. Great job. Thank you.
Great job guys...all of this looks fun from our screen side but demands massive amounts of editing dedication...thanks for that! I'm a big fan of Peter now...
awesome season i thoroughly enjoyed every episode of season 4. excellent Intro times, excellent tunes all season, excellent sound quality through out the entire season of videos, excellent educational, quality, motivational, inspiring, videos this season to make me want to get my original project finished and off the jack stands and on the ground and running and driving and ready to get back on the dirt and gravel traveling through this great state I call home, the Wild & Wonderful West Virginia! might even stretch out further and even venture to states further on beyond my home state,.
Hey just discovered you guys this is pretty cool I live in VT and thanks for leaving it clean when you left too you guys seem like my kind of people thanks
Great season guys, really enjoyed watching! I think this is some of the most inspiring overlanding content out there, you guys are real and down to earth. Looking forward to more.
This was a great season. My whole family loves to watch you guys. Missed Rin this episode. You finished up in our neck of the woods by Stokes State Forest where we do most of our wheeling. Looking forward to next season. Be safe!!
Nice job! I've driven oversize loads into NYC. It's no picnic but it's fun! Loving the more laid back, improvisational editing. Looking forward to S 5! Chad (The Fedex trucker)
Every time I think about starting to set up my F-150 for VT, ME, and NH trails then see you guys barely squeeze through some sections with Tacomas, 4Runners, Land Rovers, etc, it scares me out of it haha.
Love your videos! You've actually inspired me to do some work to my silverado and get out on some adventures next summer here in northern West Virginia.
Well, I confess i saw the next vídeo first and then this one ... And you know what? Although a good picture quality is good, what makes the difference is YOU ALL !! Again, you made it awesome and unique !! MSO is really moving up to another level, and being real, does make the difference! Some are making more movie like adventures, and forgetting about people, they make the cameras and drones and gadjets the main actors, but not you. You are Overlanding and tasting it, enjoying it, and that's what most people want, to have a laugh and an adventure with real and simple people ! So thank's for sharing and giving me the possibility to do this trip with you, just by watching a screen while sitting!! One thing though, you can not do anymore ... it's ending one adventure like this one, saying - Till next year !! WHAT ??!!!! ... are you crazy ?!! Do you wanna give us a heart attack ??!! ... that's too much of a dose of reallity ... no way !!! I WANT MORE, so sorry guys, you'll have to manage something ... LOL LOL LOL ...10 days without a bath!! So, you're more "tasty" ... That's the spirit !! LOVE YOU GUYS !! Congratulations !! STAND BY mode ON !! Pay me a visit so I can pay you back some laughs you offered me during the whole season ... Cheers ... will always be here ... waiting !!
Can you guys do a vid about how/what you use to stay as fresh and clean over a trip like this? And how do you clean your plates and utensils? Ive only been on 1 or 2 day trip so i never put any thought into this. Love your channe, keep it up.
We can try. On this trip we stayed cleaning bathing in local streams. Camp kitchen clean was often accomplished under a water can. Portable showers are a great option but just one more thing you have to bring with you. Thanks for watching!
Peter could be a regular! Another great season! Will you be at the Expo West? Btw start planning a Southwest Season! Spring or fall. I’ve got some epic places to show you. @48thStateOverland
How do you guys have all the gear you do but no shower setup? Being able to get clean on extended trips is a must! A couple friends have done very different iterations of heat exchangers and hot water shower systems. I'm just using a pop-up privacy tent and a rechargeable sprayer.
Some swam, some didn't. Some had pump showers too. Some don't really care about taking a showers either. There wasn't much sweating that took place on this trip because it was cool and rainy.
First of all, you guys saw my Tacoma at VOR 2016. I have to disagree that you're the muddiest trucks in NYC, since I live in Brooklyn and have realized Vermont mud literally never washes completely off your vehicle. Hit me up if you guys do NYC again. You missed the greatness the outer boroughs offer.
We use Garmin Earthmate to navigate. Peter (Range Rover) uses another app called Avenza. From our experience, Earthmate is far more user friendly for navigation while Avenza is useful for reading PDF maps.
Awesome series guys! Enjoyed keeping up and you guys did some great filming and especially the editing was great for keeping it interesting for every video. Keep it up! If anyone wants to check out the overlanding/offroad videos on my channel, check my channel out!!
We don't. The best place to go for maps of this area are VTRANS. We'll be talking about Vermont Public Roads tomorrow on Adventure Talk here on this channel.
she is freaking gorgeous. that is wifey material right there. one of them need to wife her down because that is a catch that is rare these days. keep up the good work
I had to pause and comment before watching any further in to the video, why didn't you deflate the tires when you was stuck at the low tree clearance and gain an additional 3" to 3.5" inches of clearance & re-inflate the tires on the other side, you had no risk of breaking bead on perfectly flat surfaces, well atleast it appeared perfectly flat from the video. You have the equipment to deflate and re-inflate the tires. I deflated truck tires MANY MANY times to clear low underpass's to avoid turning around, get on the other side and re-inflate the tires and carry on my trip.. saved thousands and thousands of of miles while driving OTR big truck back in the day.
Wait Wait WAAAAIT.... it cannot be over already! Love it. Jealous. Mad props. Thanks for all, ALL of you do for us!
I don't know why, but it's so nice to watch you guys do stuff. Better then any other 4x4 travelers on youtube. Thanks!
Living the life! GOD bless America.
FWIW - I hit Canada for a 10 day trip up through Alberta / BC area and it was awesome. Not as much dirt road travel as I would have liked, but truly epic scenery and wildlife. I really enjoyed watching your travels, well done!

Wow I can't believe it's over already. Waiting for next season will be tough but I'm sure it will be epic. Congrats on another great adventure.
Great job guys...all of this looks fun from our screen side but demands massive amounts of editing dedication...thanks for that! I'm a big fan of Peter now...

Mountain State Overland
Oh please do !! I would love to get a classic one myself.
How do you guys have all the gear you do but no shower setup? Being able to get clean on extended trips is a must! A couple friends have done very different iterations of heat exchangers and hot water shower systems. I'm just using a pop-up privacy tent and a rechargeable sprayer.

Great work you "guys" we loved every moment of it! - @GenerationOverland 's #TaterSalad
met u guys at overland east in 17. I heard yall mention work in this video, what kind of work do yall do? BTW, love the videos and keep em coming!
I just binge watched the entire 4th season! What kind of mapping system/application do you guys use on the tablets?
Taylor Sage fantastic! We use Earthmate on our iPads. Vermont Overland uses Avenza.
The guy in the range rover reminds me of Michael keaton
So glad I found this page. You guys are awesome. What product do you use to air down and air up your tires?
Jason D. In this particular video, you can see them using a double ARB air compressor.
Air
You'd think Peter repairs shoes the way that Rover is cobbled together
Actually, I think he does LOL
haha, its a cool rig, just needs a little love. Might be a LR thing
What Drone does Jon/John use? It looks like maybe the Mavic Pro?
Love this. What is the name of the campground in Stowe that you guys stayed at?
Camped at the end of a State Route, fishing access parking lot. Can't remember the road number/name.
@@msoverland thank you.
Ummm...Where's Rin? He's pretty much the only reason I watch these things. :) #jeepssticktogether
Man it was great. Missed Boomer though. Too bad he is selling it.
+1
What an adventure viewed all 8 episodes LOL think bacon and eggs overland style gitcha some just sayin
Nice! Couldn't have phrased it better!
Which tire inflator are you using there at the end?
What type of map books are you use?
We use Garmin Earthmate to navigate. Peter (Range Rover) uses another app called Avenza. From our experience, Earthmate is far more user friendly for navigation while Avenza is useful for reading PDF maps.
Awesome series guys! Enjoyed keeping up and you guys did some great filming and especially the editing was great for keeping it interesting for every video. Keep it up! If anyone wants to check out the overlanding/offroad videos on my channel, check my channel out!!
Roger that, we have. Thanks for watching over here!
do you guys have a map of which class 4 roads you used?
We don't. The best place to go for maps of this area are VTRANS. We'll be talking about Vermont Public Roads tomorrow on Adventure Talk here on this channel.
Mountain State Overland thanks
she is freaking gorgeous. that is wifey material right there. one of them need to wife her down because that is a catch that is rare these days. keep up the good work
I would like to join the team!! I am a professional Sasquatcher and could provide invaluable security from the Bigfoot while in the woods.
Why didn't you just take the maxtrax off good vid btw
Because the pins were still mounted to the top of the truck.
You guys rock cute chick !
She appreciates that ;-)
I would go insane being in NYC... Nope... Not this guy!!
That could have done it too. At the moment we hadn't consider deflating but that could have worked in this spot for sure. Thanks for watching Johnny!
First!
get some new music and this actually s#####
