@@Fuji_Yuji It ended December 28th. Anyway, regardless of when it aired, it was excluded from this award show, and will be eligible next year. Hence why zero of any of the awards showed any footage from Shibuya arc.

@@Megatheriumthat’s so weird cause they showed clips of shibuya when they were showing the nominations. Damn I guess JJK is gonna sweep the awards next year then…

anime awards are simply about which one has the largest fanbase, completely biased. vinland saga “farmland” season, for example, is underrated as hell when it is much more profound than the first season - which is focused on battles - because people seem to cannot appreciate meaningful reflexive thoughts, and the ultimate war we wage within ourselves, the true battle. so i already expected jujutsu to win ‘anime of the year’, but i believe with conviction it should have gone to vinland saga s2 instead. same goes for the ‘best continuation’ award; egg head arc is definitely not the best one, and i’m sure most fans would agree with me on that, still, one piece won it even though vinland deserved better, they literally came out with the fucking best season. now for ‘best animation’ although i also find demon slayer’s animation to be a great one, i sincerely think mob psycho’s is one of the best out there of all time, the style is completely unique, i feel that it was made with passion and it flows well with other elements such as mob’s psychic powers, the beauty of his struggles. while for ‘best secondary character’ i would go for reigen, he’s the worst yet the best relatable, deep and realistic companion one might have already had in life. reigen is a liar, a charlatan, a lonely man, until he’s left alone and realizes how important the people on his surroundings are, how much in need of a friend he is, how fundamentally important he was for shigeo’s growth, and how little conscious he was all the time that passed by. now for ‘the most precious character’, i would choose bojji (this one is potentially biased).

this season of mushoku wasn't that into the fantasy, more of a drama romance. but i agree demon slayer ain't better as a fantasy

The absolute fact that Demon Slayer won against Mushoku Tensei TWICE in two separate awarding events is insane. Hell, even arguing it should be part of the fantasy category is debatable.
