Thank you so much! I was trying to change from MBR to GPT as part of UEFI Win11 requirement and something went wrong and the last of the recommendations you made regarding diskpart and "active" worked for me (although I also had to change to a different disk and make some directory changes to get to the right area (but your screen shots provided all of the information needed)). Thank you so much! I messed up my active partition, and couldn't figure out how to set it back when I couldn't reboot. Your last method - Diskpart worked fabulously!
Hi, just wanted to comment that your methods still work. Just last night I used method 5 Diskpart, restarted Windows and then method 1 automatic repair. My Windows 10 boots up normally now. Thank you!
Ancient Aeon download windows 10 from the site, its free and then when you download it open the setup and download the right version like the pc, and then put usb and save it there. when done downloading put the usb drive into the non working pc and start your pc and then do the steps as the video here
Unfortunately none of the methods work. I can only open windows from the x drive. Seems to be recovery mode. I’ll have to resort on a pc shop in hope they can fix. I can see in the bios that no matter how many times I put the boot order on my ssd: where windows is installed. It keeps on resetting it to my other disk. Windows boots but at the login screen it shows a gray screen with loading circle, then again login screen, back to the gray loading screen and so on :/ flabbergasted I am. :/
@Major Jefrey How to run it as administrator? Because we can run it as administrator in pc by right clicking on it and run as administrator But how can we do it now as we cant boot the pc

ITS A FEEDBACK AND ADVICE. THANKS AGAIN
Hi, interesting tutorial thanks for posting, I have a similar problem on a Windows 10 install, it is : bootmgr is compressed, press ctr-alt-del to restart, I just cannot find a way to get a fix for this, it's easy on Windows 7 but not on Windows 10, the repair disk won't do it.
Thx bruh it really helped me..the last step from diskpart😀 Thx a lot🙏I needed then search for troubleshooting again and it restarted automatically and then went on SSD✅
I think I know what the issue was for me... I am going to test it now, but will explain nonetheless in case I don't find this anymore or whatever, just because: it is connected to the last option in the video. I did set the correct partition "active" in the Windows Diskmanagement before, and I thought that somehow went wrong and messed it up. However instead I didn't actually use the correct partition, although "officially" it might look so. Aside from the actual main partition there is a little sector on the boot disk which needs to be "active". Not the main partition with Windows. I think that messed it up. I am currently creating a Windows 10 image, that's also why I haven't tested it yet. And if one uses command prompt or Dos, this part is actually easier to do right, because one will probably select "partition 1", whereas in the Windows tool the main partition (2) "looks" far more important and obvious.
Hi All, if you are using a USB drive to boot into recovery, rebuild bcd here won't work (will show path not found). Try this instead: bcdboot c:\windows It will recreate the boot sector. Type exit after that, remove the usb and restart.
I think I messed up my computer by trying to create partitions. Anyway I'm getting the BOOTMGR is missing on startup. The only thing I can do is go into my BIOS. I can't get to any CMD window and I don't have a disk to boot to. Do I have any other options? I tried booting to safe mode but that implies you can actually boot to windows to some degree. I think if could get to a command prompt from my bios I could try some of the steps you listed? Do you have any suggestions? I watched the entire video all the way to the third command line option and none of these will work for me.
I think the Command Prompt option needs to be exaplained much better, and need to take account of the particulars. E.g. how does one even get into the Command Prompt of Windows if Windows is not starting? This is a rhetorical question, because I can do one option: by using a different Windows on another partition (there are obviously other options, but you are not specific). However if one uses a different Windows, the commands don't work, as is easy to imagine, probably because one needs to make commands specific to the affected partition rather than just Windows in general (the one running for trouble shooting). All specific paths need to be explained separately.
i have reset my PC after that i have seen no re-installation,i have see a caption boot option is not there it is saying there is no operating system was there, it is saying to install an os & bios is not coming , after pressing F2 it is showing UFEI hard ware management...!!!!! how can i solve this problem? please tell me ...!!!! 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Also I had concerns and maybe others will have the same as me. I bought the PC with windows 7 and then did the upgrade to 10. Note that the boot disk from the original windows 7 does work with the windows 10 upgrade.

bootmgr is missing in windows 10. I have tried so much but no results. I have also inserted windows cd and pressed f8 and after chosing dvd option again it is showing that bootmgr is missing please help me out
Diskpart worked at first. Next day when I switch on. The problem re occurs. This time when I select partition and type active . There is a error message came like i/o device error.
Many thanks! With the first method the repair said that it couldn't repair, but when I shut down the computer windows loads correctly... Anyway, I left the computer alone for 2 hours and when I came back the bootmgr message appears again... I could load windows repeating the sequence I explained at the beginning... BUt is there a way to fix it through windows directly? I use windows 10.. Thanks
I get that message only sometimes and when I do if I just do "ctrl alt delete" twice it starts windows 10. If I then do a shutdown and then restart it starts up no problem. It's like hit and miss. So what would be causing this, the boot manager must be there at times otherwise it wouldn't start sometimes.
