I'm on my 4th mustang. I now have a 2020 Mustang GT pp1 mt82. I'm not impressed with the transmission but hopefully a mgw will make it much better. I've never really cared about how a car handled until I drove this. I took a corner the fastest I've ever went and from that moment I knew I wanted to track it. I'm thinking about a hdpe sometime this summer. After wheels, tires, boost and few odds and ends I'll have a badass street car to have fun with.

Recently picked up a new 22 Grabber Blue CS/GT with the 10-speed. Would of gotton it in manual if a Tremac was available. I didn't want to spend another $11k on the Mach 1 to get one. CS/GT looks quite different than any Ecoboost. Panel gaps are pretty good on mine. I think it was built late on a Friday afternoon...haha...!!! Still breaking it in, but love the interior features. It's a cool cruiser. My 6-speed Scat Pack was rewarding, but always work. Toying with the idea of supercharging via LFP/ROUSH. Time will tell. Great video, X...!!!

When I hit a time in my life when I wanted to treat myself to a new American " muscle car" Word of mouth was" stay away from Mopar because of various electrical problems.
I was also told to stay away from Ford because many people kept putting the company down.
Made up my mind I was going to the Chevy dealer and wanted a new Z-28 in black.
Dealership told me they had one so I drove there ready to get one.
I waited for the salesman to have a discussion and after about 30 minutes they pulled up with a blue 6 cylinder Camaro.
Told them why I was there. They told me 2003 was the last year for the Z-28 and I should take it for a ride.
I drove it but I had the money and wanted that V-8 bad.
They told me to come back tomorrow and they will have one.
The next day they had a red one. Okay took it out on the highway and scared the salesman to death.
Number one it was Red, wrong color. Secondly the front end had a bad Shake that I'm sure was just something basic like a wheel balance, the driver's-side window was not working properly this completely turned me off to buying this car.
On the way home I passed a Ford dealer went in and they had wall to wall Mustang's.
I ended up with a 2003 Black Cobra.
I drove that car like a crazy man for 3 years and sold it.
Never had one problem with that car. Considering I drove it extremely hard. In the time I owned it I needed new tires in the rear a few times from the nonstop burnouts. I miss that car to this day.
When I came home from work without it my son did not hear me pull into the driveway. He was actually in tears when I told him its gone.
When my son came of age I got him a brand new Hyundai Tiburon 5 speed loaded. He drove it and told me it was to slow. I wanted to kill him as nobody ever got me a car never mind a new one. Told him when you get a job when you get out of school feel free to trade it in for what ever you want it's yours. Four years later when he graduated college getting his first job the first thing he did was trading in the Tiburon for a California series Mustang. He did it and he still has it.
Put a lot of work into it. Long story,
    No charge. 👍🏻

Now put a stop the hop kit in a 10sp GT with a Whipple at say 10lbs and a Lund tune.
It will runs 10.40’s at 135, add E85 and it runs into the 9’s on the stock verter
Mopars are awesome and very torquey and at the track rental we had I watched a few pretty stock 392’s go 11.7 which to me was impressive and Hellcats, Redeyes go mid to low 10’s on a paper tag with a tire. They were impressive and very comfortable but once u start modding, the Ford is King
The Camaro is a lost cause, and I’m a GM guy although the 10sp in the Camaro is better unit vs the Mustang as far as strength and how it drives but they are essentially the same trans

Just another great one buddy, the cons are for sure valid ones, the worst is the stupid prop rod on the mustangs going way back, and the manual trans are pretty poor for the GT models,
and agree with you on the love points are all really good points for the Mustangs.

A note on OPG's, people only break them because they either bang off 2-Step all the time or some form of limiter and it rattles the fuck outta them and they break but if you don't slam limiter you'll be fine stock OPG for a very long time. Plenty of cars stock motor to prove it, and if you're building a turbo car you're gonna upgrade them anyways. The biggest issue FOR SURE is the MT82 gearing on 3rd Gen cars, they really screwed it up there.

I bought a performance pack 2 and don’t regret it one bit. Track mode and a bit higher rpms at launch give me great punch off the line vs my last 2018 mustang that didn’t have the drive modes. It’s a noticeable difference. And I wouldn’t change having a 6 speed for anything.

I love mine, But I have to say ingress and egress are getting kinda tough for me now that I'm getting old. LOL. I have the same problem with the newer Camaros, The Mopars aren't quite as hard to get in and out of.

Nice video Bro. I agree with you, but certain negatives don't bother me as much, and others I overcame. I don't like the MT-82 Manual either. It pisses me off that Ford would do that to the GT. But, I made mine MUCH better by changing out the stock clutch assist spring with a Steeda Performance Clutch Assist Spring. It feels a lot different than stock and you can engage better and faster. You're used to cars with some of the best low end punch on the planet, but the stock Low End punch is still good in a GT. 420 lb ft is impressive against MOST other cars. Yeah, the stock Scat has more low end punch and will get off the line faster, but I will catch him in a second as he levels out and my high end keeps increasing. His additional weight isn't doing him any favors. I don't race anymore, or near as much as you do, but that's how it went down all three times I raced a Scat Pack. Back to the Mustang, another way to tell the EcoBoost from the GT, at least from 2018 and later, is the GT has quad exhausts, and it's still dual for the EcoBoost. Also, yeah Digital Dash would have been cool, but I don't care about the other Premium options. BTW, my dash is set up like yours. :)

The V8 stands out because it sounds incredible, much different then the Ecoboost. Gaps are minor and never cared about that or even thought about it until I watched a UTube video. Basic ally the GT Mustang is a real fun car to drive and a great value. However they are now getting expensive in the higher optioned trims. Get the base V8, enjoy the power, sound and cool 😎 look.

My 2016 GT Premium 6R80 has rev matching so it makes the car a bit more fun to drive. Plus sport/track/sport + modes really liven up the car. Sport mode in my 2015 escape is a joke. In the GT, it becomes a growling monster, and much more responsive.

With a Mustang you need a torque converter. I added one to my V6 Mustang and it makes a big difference even though it's only a 3200 stall. My 60 foot went from 2.00 give or take a couple hundredths to 1.7s. If you think a GT has no torque, the 6 cylinder is far worse out of the hole. My car is Procharged and is competitive with stock Scat Packs, Mustang GTs, and Camaro SSs. For every tenth you lower the 60 foot, the ET is affected by about double that amount. By knocking the 60 foot a couple tenths, I was able to go from 12.2s to 11.8s. There is a big difference between the auto and a manual Mustang GT. Even if you buy an older Mustang GT that has the 6R80, the auto is far superior to the manual. There is even a bigger difference with the 10 speed. I know that from experience. Stock manual Mustang GTs, Camaro SSs, and Scat Packs will run around 12.3 give or take. Put an auto version of any of these cars and they'll run 11s.

Personally it was a dealbreaker for me. I nearly put down the money for a 2021 GT until I saw the Mach-e driving around, i just couldn't deal with a soccermom-mobile having the same badging as my sportscar, but to each his own.

The challenger/charger are inferior to the mustang. Scat pack is $50k+ and mustang is under $40k and beats the challenger by half a second in 0-60. Just too heavy and that huge 6.4 liter engine doesn't have that great of horsepower to liter ratio. Not to mention the challenger has looked basically the same for the last 13 years.
