I'm not sure this qualifies as a review. You listed the specs & safety tech, spent almost 4min demonstrating the parking assist, then briefly mentioned the engine and the fact it's comfortable to drive and has a car-like interior. Not particularly comprehensive...not sure it even qualifies as a review...

@@louisfkoorts5590 I think you’re missing my point, which was that they’re treating this as something new from an unknown van manufacturer, even “the engine is a reworked Audi engine” etc, comments on the interior being car-like. They’re deliberately not mentioning that it’s a rebadged Crafter (one of the better known vans on the market) which is unusual, but they were probably told not to.
Let's be honest, you probably don't own one anyways. The thing I want in my van is to be able to listen to Spotify on a job, don't care about reliability, that's what my company should care about, and most people who drive those don't even own them.
Not quite. VW's deal with Mercedes to make a Sprinter-based Crafter was expensive. Now they've invested a couple billion to make the plant in Poland, and they recover part of their investment by licensing the Crafter to MAN
Made by VW in the new plant in Poland rather than made by Mercedes. The original van is the new VW Crafter also badged up for MAN TGE because they have 24hr servicing with their large commercial fleet. Perfect set up VW Crafter and MAN TGE.
Wow! Come to think of it... There is a good chance, It may also have a door on the driver's side. (Just like Yours ? ) If it were not for your sense of observation, these issues might have slipped past humanity.
Michael Langley actually there is, because a company that uses MAN trucks (example) and needs a light commercial vehicle does not need to resort to a different brand. Therefore there is a possibity of getting better fleet deals, better maintenance agreements and more leverage by the user torwards the dealer.
A very interesting entrant to the large van market in the UK, and more than interesting if it follows the pattern for quality and reliability that MAN have come to be known for. But, am I the only one who sees a resemblance to the '90s/2000s Iveco Daily?...
If yah need parking assist in a van of this size then you just don't belong in one 😂. All these sensors aswell man, just look in the mirrors 😂. Nice van though!
It's really comfortable and nice to be honest, it's weird for me to park a normal car without those features after two years of using cameras and autopark, it's progressively making me more stupid every time I use them haha.
@@kuba__ hahaha, yeah to each their own, just I've driven vans for years without any assist features and I swear that it's made me 10x a better driver.
It's all about Euro6 emissions and fuel economy...It's probably a good engine, but in terms of durability...can't compete with a larger engine not subjected to as much stress...
I don’t think with that accent you hang out, with to many van and truck drivers or any other working man, Your more at home with Trinney and Rupert on the Kings road in a coffee shop. It’s a rebadged crafter, Man trucks are VW commercial wing. Strange that "It's a rebadged VW Crafter" wasn't mentioned.
makes it less desirable
They've re-badged it you fool.

I can't believe MAN are using the VW engine it's terrible
all this " tech" what van drivers want is reliability and to haul big loads all these features will break and cost a weeks income to fix

the steering wheel is the same as on my volkswagen tiguan

Problem with all these vans now is the use of car engines in them not good for durability any more
We are all waiting for the auto rear wheel drive 👍
that is not new...its volkswagen crafter with man badge...
Look a like volkwagen crafter
it is one
MAN TGE have the same plataform that Volkswagen Crafter isn' t it?
Interesting vehicle
If you NEED side sensors you should NOT drive a van :P
Very nice
Um that is literally a Crafter haha
Also VW CRAFTER 2017
That park assist is the same that I had in my 2009 skoda 😂

A rebadged crafter. VW STILL THE BEST.
love to see them in Australia .. but I bet they'd probably be too expensive

The TGE is going to be built alongside the new VW Crafter. Same van, different logo
Where's it made
In VW's brand new factory in Poland, alongside the Crafter
Looks like a vw, feels like a vw, smells like a vw. Why? Because it is a vw. Audi engine my eye. How much did vw pay you for this commercial? Pathetic
WV group owns MAN
