Agree! It might be the volume of the music though not so much the music itself. I must say that while I was enjoying the content, I did become aware that after a short while it started to feel stressful and intrusive hearing the music thumping out and by the time I was ⅔ way through I was happy when it was over - which is a shame since again the content and ideas were cool :)
Color…good point…All so texture…..I have beautiful hard scape….Light plants dark plants…tree and shrub’s the same way…I have used black mulch…..everything pops
Last year I began gardening with thousands of dollars worth of free, cast off perennials. I just put stuff in the ground and hoped it would come back. I only lost 2 perennials so now I'm thinking I might be a successful gardener and I'm putting some thought into expanding. Thank you for your information. It's going to be helpful.
Thanks for the usable tips! It reminds me of van Goughs Gardens colour techniques. I plan to put your tips to good use after I watch this 10 times .. 🌾
I had to stop and rewind a few times to gaze at the beautiful examples. Upon considering those with vibrant color and those that are monochromatic, I realized that while I want something in-between. Great video for jump-staring my ideas.
Enjoy your channel, great work. I have an 1890s Gothic Queen Anne Victorian House. We would like to landscape the front in a historic fashion with flowers and shrubs that would have been used in that tmie period along with proper historic placement. Any ideas ? videos? We have spoken to 3 local lanscapers who, even after we explained our historic appreaoch gave us modern, cookie cutter landscaping ideas/designs. Thanks, in advance for your consideration.
@Brenda K That is so awesome to hear! That is one of my biggest goals with this channel so you’ve made my day! Thank you so much for watching in the comments. I look forward to seeing more comments from you in future videos! ❤️❤️❤️
The use of just two plant species against a closely mown lawn shows how clever use of both tone and texture can provide just as much interest as a flowering border.
Nice to see color examples with planting ideas from zones 9 & 10, Florida. Have you dabbled much with tropical plantings in your layouts? Great video, by the way.
@Joyce Nesselhauf. Thank you so much for the comment! Honest answer...I'm not 100% sure but it could be a close up of a rex begonia. :( I wish I 100% knew for you.
Great advice on colour. Loved the video however one criticism I would like to make is about the background music. It was too loud and very distracting and does not fit with the Iinfo given.
Loved your video. And it fits perfectly to what I’m looking to do with my garden. It’s 80% green! I need color for sure Do you offer online consulting. I’m in Los Angeles. 👌🏻😀
Great video! I’m going to drop some color accents in my landscape to pull things together. Btw, your background music was very loud, made it hard to understand you. Sort of distracting. But still great video.
Color is definitely my weakest spot haha! I mash stuff together and wonder "Does this work?". I have a lot more videos to go through before I contact a designer with an idea haha.
Great videos. Consider less music, don’t ask for hitting like button, and make opening a whole lot shorter. Takes way to long to get to the meat and potatoes of the video … the good stuff 🙂
@Salli Anna I totally laughed at this comment as it's like my inner voice! This is exactly what I have been working on and I greatly appreciate the feedback! Thank you for the comment and hanging in there. RUclips is HARD! :)
It’s beautiful. But going from one design to the next so quickly is difficult to focus. I have to keep rewinding….and re-playing. Just constructive critique….for next time. Wish I could hire you :)

I agree. The music has definitely come in to play with a lot of the comments and future videos have definitely quite the music down. Thank you for the feedback.
I’ve heard that from multiple people. We’ve tone down the music and all future video so they should be much more enjoyable to watch. I apologize about that but sometimes we learn as we go.
NO MUSIC , don't know why you put it in, everything a human does they do for a reason if you do things without knowing why you have a problem, you are doing a video for gardeners not people searching for new tunes to enjoy..
Thanks for tip..colors make all the best bright difference
My pleasure 😊
I'm so happy to see more posts from you! The ideas are wonderful
Nice work. Please consider using less music. Thank you.
@Barbie c Definitely noted!!! We will be turning down the music in all future videos. I've heard it's a bit distracting. :(
