    A helmet, gloves, shin pads and a cup helps too. Buying used sticks and skates really help. You can get some really cheap.

    01:04 I've heard a lot of bad feedback about the stick wrap-arounds. Flimsy and breaking. I've found it is easier just to buy a roller hockey stick as you mentioned.

      In the end it all comes down to personal preference. I like the wrap around and it did break sooner then I would like but it’s what I prefer. My roommate on the other hand hates it and much rather use an abs blade

    What part of the Bay Area do you guys play in? I’m in San Jose, just now learning how to play hockey

      I’m in the northern part of the east bay. But there is a lot of hockey down in San Jose. There is the plex for roller and sharks ice for ice

    I had green snipe and orginal on tiles today they didn't glide at all, but 3 other my roller hockey pucks from different brands were smooth to glide. Do green biscuits do differently on roads? and they are not cheap at all for pucks. the best one still hockey balls

    • @HockeyAdventures

      Yes green biscuits do way better outside on the street. That’s what they are made for. If you try them on sports court they don’t side at all! Except for the roller green biscuit. That’s made to use inside. I would recommend on sports court using either the rocket puck or ids puck. Those both work great and are the most common roller pucks used

      @@HockeyAdventures since you gave me the names I just did my research, I found out the one I have the best is called Pro Puck, that slides the best from my all collections

    What do you think about green biscuit vs a hockey ball ? I was just thinking that ball rolls indefinitely while you have to keep pushing the puck on asphalt no ?

    • @HockeyAdventures
      @HockeyAdventures  Год назад +1

      The green biscuit is better because it feels like an actual puck. The hockey ball just doesn’t feel the same because of the spinning momentum. Like you can feel the ball stop rolling while doing some dangles. But it’s better to use a ball then nothing

    • @albondar
      @albondar Год назад

      @@HockeyAdventures hey Ryan ! Thanks for your opinion ! I think downside of the ball is it’s too often too tall compared to a puck. Too easy to clip when you dribble. But ball rolls easily while biscuit looses momentum a bit too fast no ? Like don’t you have to keep pushing the biscuit because it slows down. I just mean stickhandling on feet vs skates seems different to me because you have to add forward momentum otherwise it lags behind no ?
      Also if you’re looking to add new content, something as simple as videotaping your games (like Nasher) would be interesting. :)

    My green biscuit does not slide at all and the surface I play on is pretty smooth

    • @HockeyAdventures
      @HockeyAdventures  3 года назад

      So as of after filming this video I have found that if the surface is extremely smooth the puck just sticks. The better one to get is the roller green biscuit

      If you are looking for cheep skates that are still good I recommend Alkali. But I would not cheep out on skates. A good pair can last a long time. Don’t need top of the line but my favorite company’s are Mission, Bauer, and CCM
