I saw this chainsaw on Ebay and really wish that I could have purchased it. I hope you make more just like it in the future when I've got the funds to buy one.
Can you include a link to your eBay account in the comments section? Unfortunately, I couldn't find you. Also, wondering if you'd be kind enough to answer a couple questions for me. 1. Was the TCM saw used in the 1974 film a 245a or a 306a? I'm guessing by your videos it was a 245a, but some people can't seem to agree. 2. What was the bar length on the saw used in the film? Was it 17 inch like in your video? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great videos!
I’m no expert on vintage saws, but based on BTS photos from the film and cross-referencing them with the two models, it would appear it was a 245A. That also seems to be the popular consensus among fellow fans I’ve talked to. Hope this helps!
@@dawsonbarrett8906 As far as model saw used in TCM 1, it looks like a 245 but I have also heard it may have been a 306 with 245 parts to look like a 245. It’s impossible for me to know for sure. Gunter Hansen said in an interview that it was a 306 modified to a 245. Mike
