Old guy here, I like my books and maps on paper and when I have any at all I like my gauges analog. Shovel is for sale while I wait on that BSC but already a little sketch about efi and digital …
Why doesn't Harley just go ahead and build that Bronx concept they trotted out a few years ago? That was a good looking bike, and they've already trademarked the name.
We sell CVO ST's like hot cakes. Just depends on the demographic in your area. Touring is probably 80% - 90% of what we sell and they love the performance upgrades
I do like the gauge on the Sportster S and think it would look nice in a Road King. Personally Harley needs a 1000 c.c. engine making over 150 H.P. And put the Pan Am on a diet to make it a sport touring bike. Those Pan Am street bikes look like something I would buy.
Interesting review , I think you are right when you say H-D are going to bring their softails up to date with fully digital guages , as for your view that the CVO ST will remain in the 2025 model line up , that's probably true but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a CVO ST Street Glide. On the Pan America, it would be great if H-D introduce a street version , if it's anything like the custom versions I've seen then a factory version should be awesome.
As a Street Glide fan I'm worried about the future of them. I'm in dealerships several times a week and they aren't moving half the Street Glides compared to the Road Glides. Because of that I'm skeptical of a CVO SG ST but would LOVE to see it happen.
@@throttleblip9854 Thats because SG's are dog shit. Who wants to deal with wind buffering every time you pass an 18 wheeler? (This is coming from a SG owner)
Harley may cut the Road Kings, but Indian has the equivalent Springfields: the classic, which is the equivalent of the regular Road King, and the dark horse, which is the equivalent of the Road King special. One nice thing about them is that if you take off the saddlebags and windshield, they look like a nicer stripped down cruiser.
In looking at Trikes , either the Freewheeler or RG3. I could get a descent deal on whats left in stock but wondering if there's going to be nice changes for 2025 so don't want to pull the trigger to soon and regret it.
It’s actually pretty simple. They need to have a vintage line with four motorcycles one of each category. Carry them on a limited production for the people that don’t want to tuner bike.
They really need to bring back the Road Glide ST non-CVO for the $30-$32K following the new pricing schedule. Love the look of the CVO just can not wrap around the price… especially since it doesn’t have the CVO comfort / Security features.
Buell's were cool especially the Liquid cooled ones as was the Bronx. Sure the Live Wire could have been cool for a realistic price if you live in the City and never wanted to ride more the 45 miles from home.
One of the biggest reasons the c v o st is having a hard time selling is dealer markup. Every dealer around me has eight thousand the ten thousand dollar markup on that s t. That's crazy money.
I remember watching these predictions videos last year like it was yesterday God time flys Id love to know if theres a newer lowrider st before i nail down on a 24 model, although i like them just as they are Id prefer no ride modes and the mini screen A cam and a quadlock is all you need😅
Going for the unpopular opinion here but harley fans are getting older, they need to bring in some cheap (at least to start off with), honda rebel type 125s to bring back the younger crowd, nice old style air cooled carbed (or even EFI on some models). Make then in 3 styles club style, bobber style and a standard with a slight chopper rake, loads of custom parts (maybe even colab with with saddleman and memphis shades). Get the young lot into that style afain get them tinkering with carbs and custom parts same as we do, sunday owners club rides. I honestly feel this would go a long way to rescuing them from the ageing audience issue. Side not have a look at prices for used honda 125 v-twin bikes, the market for these just gos up and up, the rebel and the varadero xl both becoming boarderline collectable. I think harley are missing a trick not exploring this. Purchase existing designs and keep it cheap for the buyer, could secure themselves some lifelong customers from 17 year old onwards
I own a Pan Am and am currently 95% on road, and im also touring on it. You would think im doing something weird, at gas stations traditional HD guys come up to me and ask where im off roading. As if i had to sign a release that said i will only off road a PA! The thing is a ripper, in sport mode i still think its the fastest out of the box HD you can get (maybe the CVO's this year are close?). Im seeing more and more young folks realize this, show what they are doing on social media (and yes the HDPanAmerica instagram account re-posts these), and i think its fantastic. Yea there were issues at first but this is a great bike now that its all figured out. I always wanted to see a PA "bagger". Also, you didnt mention the move for HD to make the RevMax bikes overseas. HD isnt closing the York plant so maybe thats to augment more production of RevMax bikes?
to release a mid year model now would be kinda silly i think. no interest in paying full price for a new bike at the end of the season unless it is going to be a '25. i think that's part of the reason for overall sales drop off. they should move their new year model release back to September instead of only selling part of the year. I think people get tired of waiting to see what may or may not come and go buy something else. just think if they had released the diablo at the beginning of the season, those would have sold like crazy. just my thoughts anyway.
If H-D was smart, they'd collaborate with a local track to release a street version of the Pan America. The track is the largest track in the US, and isn't far from Milwaukee. The street version could then be called the Road America.
I bought a new 23 Roadglide-ST. I absolutely love my premium bike. I paid a fortune for it but I’m ok with that. I hate these new cheap looking and cheap feeling bikes they have now. I’m keeping this one forever.
Oh where to start, if they want to streamline fine offer three touring models RG, SG, RK with choice of chrome or blacked out. Then ala carte the options you can turn any of them into an ST or limited with Package selection. Make the 117 the base motor the CVO’s have the 121. Work on pricing nobody wants to drop 25-30K then another 3-5K getting it the way they want it. I’ve had to touring bikes from other manufacturers that cost less and offered way more features. What they lacked and what I think the draw for the MOCO is the ability to customize and make a bike unique. Ok I’ll hop off my soapbox… Fingers crossed for a 30th anniversary RK CVO!
I really hope they put some pullback risers on the low rider models and a better seat. 90% of ppl are doing those mods. Basically, replicate what they did with the 2024 Road Glide.
They are having a stand at the EICMA in Milan in November, first time for 5 years so you would of thought they should have new bikes on the stand? They have also confirmed a stand at the NEC in Birmingham UK which they previously pulled out of. They either are showing new models or just trying to repair the resent damage?
What Harley wont but SHOULD! do 1) Get rid of the Softail Standard and Nightster 975 2) 121s on all Softails. 3) 128s on Road Kings and Limiteds 4) 131s on CVOs. 5) Nighster Special is the now only Nighster model and comes with a 1250. 5) The New round TFT guage on all Softails. 6) Road King and Limiteds stay analog as well as keep the old Fairings 7) Two new models..Bronx1250 and Pan Am hooligan1250. 8) Return of the Vr1000 in limited production for 1 year only soley to compete with the Hammerhead. 9) Return of the Night Train in limited production for 1 year only as a modern classic.
Not much of a harley guy, but the pan am is a great bike, wish they would bring back those canceled new models that were also supposed to come out. The smaller pan am, and the brooklyn or whatever it was called naked bike would be awesome, i might pick up the naked if they did it well and had more appropriate pricing on it.
I just want a 1250 Nightster and the Fat Bob back.
IMHO they absolutely butchered the Nightster. Should of never changed it.
We sell CVO ST's like hot cakes. Just depends on the demographic in your area. Touring is probably 80% - 90% of what we sell and they love the performance upgrades
Instead of a Pan Am ST they should just bring out the Bronx
They should. Maybe they will. I doubt it but I’d love to be wrong about it.
Pan America - Bronx? 😱
Still waiting… 😉
Nice vid thanks.
What will they do with the Sporties which are not selling ?
Harley may cut the Road Kings, but Indian has the equivalent Springfields: the classic, which is the equivalent of the regular Road King, and the dark horse, which is the equivalent of the Road King special. One nice thing about them is that if you take off the saddlebags and windshield, they look like a nicer stripped down cruiser.
I didn’t know that about the bags. That’s awesome. I wish Harley would do the same.
@@throttleblip9854I put the optional quick release on my saddlebags so that I can remove them even faster.
Will the Road Glide 3 and Tri Glide get the updated fairings for 25 ?
I think the Pan America get a second naked bike street version called the Bronx. 👊🏻
A street Pan Am would be fun!
not super hard to do to a stock pan am. change the tires.. it doesnt come with bags (unless you got a CVO). And maybe drop the wind screen.
Wow, the custom Pan Americas kind of looks like my old Buell. Everything old in new again.
I’m crossing my fingers for the trikes to have the new Street and Road Glide fairings.
I hate the digital tach on the ST, but I like the fuel gauge over the S.
They really need to bring back the Road Glide ST non-CVO for the $30-$32K following the new pricing schedule. Love the look of the CVO just can not wrap around the price… especially since it doesn’t have the CVO comfort / Security features.
Ive been wondering how long HD can just keep increasing the displacement of their bikes every few years.
They can't. Revmax 1250 has more power than pushrod motors twice its size.
Lowrider ST Is an 85% touring bike, no passenger seat or pegs, my son got a new one and luckily he works at cycle world
I remember watching these predictions videos last year like it was yesterday
God time flys
Id love to know if theres a newer lowrider st before i nail down on a 24 model, although i like them just as they are
Id prefer no ride modes and the mini screen
A cam and a quadlock is all you need😅
The bike to bring out is the dual sport in a 4 hundred + cc beefed up , two up.
Good to see HD competitive internationally, race Sunday sell Monday
I was hoping that the mid year model would be Road King anniversary/ CVO. The last CVO version of Road King was 10 years ago (2014).
I’d love that as well. Still love the 14 and I’m not even a CVO guy. That windshield they did on it is perfect for other RK models too.
It’s the 30th anniversary of the RoadKing. Really was hoping for the CVO this year…
I'll be waiting for that new road glide 3 fairing if they unveil it next year
Seems like they would. Otherwise the current Rushmore design would be 11 years old.
We need a low rider st cvo!! And as for a pan am limitless possibility but. They need to rethink management
I think you’re correct on the touring limited.
They have a Pan America street version. It's called the Bronx.
Do you think the 2025 RG3 will have the new 117 M8
I bought a ducati hypermotard 796 last week ; if Harley could produce a bike similar like that , that would be great !
Great content solid presentation- New sub👍
I'm waiting for the new Rainbow paint job
to release a mid year model now would be kinda silly i think. no interest in paying full price for a new bike at the end of the season unless it is going to be a '25. i think that's part of the reason for overall sales drop off. they should move their new year model release back to September instead of only selling part of the year. I think people get tired of waiting to see what may or may not come and go buy something else. just think if they had released the diablo at the beginning of the season, those would have sold like crazy. just my thoughts anyway.
Man I'm waiting on the road glide limited!
Street PanAmerica…you mean the Bronx that they should’ve made!? 🤔
I’d like to see a low rider st model with the pan am 1250 In it. That would be sick
I want HD to release a new CVO Breakout like the pro streets they had back in 16'-17'
Oh where to start, if they want to streamline fine offer three touring models RG, SG, RK with choice of chrome or blacked out.
And get rid of those stupid bronze rims
They are having a stand at the EICMA in Milan in November, first time for 5 years so you would of thought they should have new bikes on the stand? They have also confirmed a stand at the NEC in Birmingham UK which they previously pulled out of. They either are showing new models or just trying to repair the resent damage?
Was hoping for a standard 117 fat boy. Felt so weak and a 117 minimum would be much more appealing
Make something like an old xr style Harley, not everyone likes the layed back cruiser style.
If you make a street glide into an ultra, it’s still worth street glide price
The Pan-American is the only Harley I would buy did they ever fix the charging problem with the Pan-American first generation
It would be cool if they brought back a springer softail
We get a Bronx-PanAmerica-Streetfighter?
I'm just guessing but it would make a lot of sense if they did it.
What Harley wont but SHOULD! do
1) Get rid of the Softail Standard and Nightster 975
2) 121s on all Softails.
3) 128s on Road Kings and Limiteds
4) 131s on CVOs.
5) Nighster Special is the now only Nighster model and comes with a 1250.
5) The New round TFT guage on all Softails.
6) Road King and Limiteds stay analog as well as keep the old Fairings
7) Two new models..Bronx1250 and Pan Am hooligan1250.
They really should also make a bike under 10k to bring in newer riders. when your avg first buyer is 44 and most of your buyers are dieing off, literally, from old age, you cant keep just tryin to milk these guys with higher prices and costs on everything which has been their new strat over the past few years rather than new models. Short term gains to make shareholders happy but screw the company over long term.
I agree with you on the 4” display on softails with ride modes and on a pan America racer type bike . Marvelkid87 and I discussed this on his is Harley-Davidson heading in the right direction video last month I also think the standard is going bye bye . Keep up the great work Blair . Old school Jerry 👋🏻
Jerry you are the man!! Appreciate the love. 🙏🏼
@@throttleblip9854 we also gave you a shout out at the end of the video
good call on thr PanAmerica
I bought a 24 RKS and i love it man. What a great bike....id like if they got rid of it which would mean i have the last MY😊
The Pan America in the Hooligan series is detuned to 125hp... nobody was complaining about them when the cam einto the series.
