Classic Nightwish: guitar solo, everything down, buildup, Jukka double kick and majestic Floor unleashed. I'm quite certain Jukka will be forever my all-time favourite drummer. It is always so intense with him. Man i miss him.
@@user-tf2wd1eh3g in the clip for "High Hopes" you can see he has a BAD headache from it - Tuomas even sends Emppu to check on him with a stare and a sideways nod...... Long time suffering and I hope he gets better. I miss him too.
Greg...keep up the Nightwish songs! You're understanding why Nightwish is so popular! If you want to react to a "little softer" song of theirs, try "Dead Boy's Poem." It is softer, but very emotional and personal to Tuomas, they keyboard man and writer and composer of 99% of their music! Tuomas is a musical genius. I am closing in on 65 years old, and still loving hard rock ( Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, the greatest hard rock guitar player...and other bands ) and heavy metal bands, Def Leppard, The Scorpions, Judas Priest, Metallica, Boston, and others! Nightwish is in their own world! That why 82,000 people were at the concert! Oh...huge New Orleans Saints fans! Heck, my wife and I watch old Saints games on RUclips! Took me almost 3 years to rehab my leg! But...my last 6 semesters, I made all "A's" in my classes!
When Floor sings high or low, she is still singing and that's why she always sounds good. She's a musical instrument, an artist. With a lot of the other people in the music biz they aren't really singing, they are just making funny sounds come out their mouth. Especially if they try doing a live show. It isn't as noticible until you start hearing someone on a level near Floor. She is the whole package and kinda puts others to shame without even needing to try.
Nightwish Army, Alabama USA. Floor commented that this is the most difficult song she has to sing because of the sustained belting. You get the the music and you get us. You are awesome. My favorite song from this concert is Bless the Child. Ethereal head banging at its finest. Well done sir.
" Ever Dream " is the sixth single by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Released as the first single from the band's fourth studio album, Century Child, it was the group's first single in two years, following " Deep Silent Complete " in 2000. The song is more operatic in nature than later works and the music itself is more on the heavy metal side. It is still played live since 2002 until today. "Ever Dream" was certified with Gold Disc in Finland two days after its release, with more than 5,000 copies sold, and later received Platinum Disc with more than 10,000 copies sold.
So,.... This song, believe it or not ,at that time, was the hardest song for Floor (vocally). But ,...THIS IS Floor Jansen Ladies and Gentlemen !!!! Also, Marko really showing off on this one 😁. let's see how far are you willing to go ..... We are on Standby mode for now .... NWSU 🤘😎🤘
I live in the Boston area in Massachusetts USA and I just saw Nightwish live for the first time in May 2022. It was everything magical and amazing live as expected I was in awe. The only disappointment was that the arena was not sold out and all of the empty seats missing people missing out to this epic band!!! I’ve been to like 10 concerts this year- I love music 🎶 and this was prob my favorite concert ever. 💕 Thanx for your reaction vids 🤘🤘. I’m seeing Iron Maiden/ Within Temptation (another symphonic metal band like Nightwish) I can’t wait for that concert!!
Cool Reaction! 🤘🔥🤘 This song was written by keyboardist, co-founder and band leader Tuomas, in 2002 for their Century Child album. It was originally sung by original singer and co-founder, Tarja. Tarja is an opera powerhouse. The album went platinum and the song went gold in 2002. The singer on this performance is the phenomenal Floor. Tuomas officially hired her in October of 2013. Tarja was fired from Nightwish in October of 2005.
Floor's voice is a blue satin ribbon caught in the wind. It embraces you in a warm blanket of love for us, and we feel it. She's amazing... no words...
Sleeping Sun is on the soft side. Also Dead Boy's Poem, Alpenglow, How's the Heart, Harvest... NW is a great choice of all types of music - soft, heavy, happy, sad and everything in between :)
If you want to hear Floor singing softly, check out Slow, Love, Slow from her solo concert in Amsterdam. It's a Nightwish song, for whatever reason she hasn't sung it with the band.
If you want to hear more Nightwish, listen to yours is an empty hope.Floor growls and sings beautyful as ever🤘. Greetings from the birthland of Floor, the Netherlands. Also check out epica and within temptation both dutch bands with fantastic singers.
Great reaction! Subscribed now. Floor was flawless this show and just about every other show. She can do soft too, you’ll get to that. Marko, the bass player, is an accomplished singer in his own right, as you will also eventually see. I suggest Song of Myself from Wacken next, dark, gritty, crunchy, or I Want My Tears Back, from Buenos Aires, upbeat, dancing, wild crowd. Keep enjoying Nightwish!
Gorgeous song! It was my Freedom song when I quit smoking. It’s a horrible habit to break and it was amazing how it really helped. All three singers, every version is precious to me. It just such a happy song.
One of my favourite from the elder songs. She is mesmerizing. And Marko's vocals are just pure fire! Jukka hits the druma like crazy. The entire band is GOLD 😍😍🎶🥁🎹💯
Love your reviews, try Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean ( the devil and the mermaid), 7 Days to the Wolves from Wembley, Romanticide, or anything that Nightwish does with Floor. You won’t be disappointed. These songs are not soft.
Floor definitely can sing soft for most of a song, like her solo of 'Shallow ' or her Amsterdam performance of 'Slow, Love, Slow'. And the other thing you noticed, is due to the mastery of her instrument, part of which is breath control.
The song beginning is a little softer, as compared to the song they had just finished playing, Ghost River (which is also highly recommended) Floor has said that this song is one of the more challenging for her to sing. Marko doesn't have a big vocal part, but it adds so much to the song.
Greetings, Greg. First thing... I wanted you to know that this is NOT the current lineup of Nightwish. There's an elusive 6th man you've yet to see. (an actual member of the band) He's from the UK and his name is Troy Donockley. He is a multi instrumentalist and specializes in Traditional Irish instruments including low whistles, tin whistles, and the famous Uilleann Pipes or (Irish bagpipes). Uilleann pipes roughly translates into "elbow pipes", meaning you pump with your elbow in contrast to their relative Scottish bagpipes that you literally blow into. Troy also plays bass guitar, electric and acoustic guitar, keyboard, and a slew of other instruments. He also sings, which brings me to the change in the lineup.... Very sadly, the bass player and 2nd Nightwish singer (the Viking), left the band over a year ago because of some personal and health issues. He is a chronic depressive and felt it was better for everyone if he stepped away. He also felt he had certain feelings towards the music industry that made him feel some lack of "validation", as he quoted. We pray for him, wish him well, and with all respects, hope he returns. No word as of yet from the keyboard player about his permanent replacement. Another change in the roster is the drummer Jukka. In 2014 he stepped away from the drums because of health problems tied to insomnia. His replacement, good friend, and WinterSun drummer, Kai Hahto, filled in that year for the recording of their following album, "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" which was released in March 2015. Kai toured with them and became a permanent member in 2019. That was Floor's first official studio album as a member of Nightwish. They are currently on tour and have WinterSun bassist Jukka Koskinen temporarily replacing Marko. Keep em coming. 🤘🤘
