- Top 10 Terrifying Nazi Super Weapons For World Domination
World War II started off with the Nazis pretty much wanting to control the whole world. Twenty years after the previous World War, Europe was still in a period of recuperation and Germany was one of the countries worst off in the aftermath. In an astonishingly short period of time, they were able to rebuild their war ravaged country, consolidate the army -even though they weren’t allowed to- and begin down a path, in their minds, thought to bring them justice. Besides this, Hitler also had in mind to transform Germany into a self-sustaining empire, by displacing the peoples from what is now present-day Ukraine and take those fertile lands for his own.
To do this, the Nazis resorted to a systematic and ruthless way of fighting, which in the first half of the war brought them one victory after another. This came to be known as the Blitzkrieg (Lighting War). They also made use of some state of the art technologies and war machines, the Allies were no match to. Here are ten of those “superweapons”, as well as some which fortunately remained only on the drawing board and were never deployed on the battlefield.
10. The Panther Tank
Zentralbild, II.
To start off this list, we must first talk about the Nazi Panther tank. What makes this war machine stand out of all the other tanks of WWII is a combination of firepower, armor, maneuverability and speed. Originally intended to be used as a counter to the T-34 Soviet tank, the Panther was introduced on the battlefield in 1943 and was in use up until the end of the war. Initially it was to replace the Panzer III and Panzer IV tanks, but ended up fighting alongside them throughout the duration of the war.
Nevertheless, the Panther soon enough became one of the most feared machines on the ground. Thanks to its sloped armor, the Panther got both extra protection, all the while limiting its total weight, as well as not sacrificing speed and maneuverability in doing so. This design was made standard on both sides, during and after the war. What made it stand out most of all was its rage. Firing a 75 mm cannon, the Panther was able to take out pretty much any Allied tank from long distances and not having to worry about retaliating fire.
Other, larger Nazi tanks were built and deployed during WWII; tanks like the Tiger I and II, and even though they were more heavily armored and with better firepower, these tanks used huge amounts of fuel, which limited them greatly. Many believe that the Panther had the best tank design of WWII and directly competed with the Soviet T-34 which, even though lacked many technical advantages, it more than made up through its simple design, easy drivability and huge numbers of it being built by the Soviets.
9. The V3 Cannon
The Vergeltungswaffe 3 Cannon (a.k.a. “England Cannon”) or more commonly known as the V3, this Nazi “vengeance weapon” was intended to fire huge projectiles at immense distances across the English Chanel, from France to London. Built directly into a hill, the V3 operated by a multi-charge principle where secondary charges were detonated inside the long barrel, in order to propel the artillery shell even further.
Initial trials of the V3 took place in May 1944 when the cannon achieved a range of 55 miles (88 kms.) and again in July with 58 miles (93 kms.). Two of these cannons were built and only one of them saw any action during the war. From January 11th 1945 until the 22nd, a total of 183 rounds had been fired on the recently liberated city of Luxembourg. It nevertheless proved mostly ineffective as out of the total 142 projectiles that detonated, only 10 people fell victim to it and injuring another 35.

My older relatives that fought in Europe frequently mistook the Panther for a Tiger. That;s how nasty it was. The L/70 75mm gun you mention was a very very high velocity anti-tank gun which you didn't mention. My uncle told me of one encounter where two Panthers took out 6 Shermans before one Panther got damaged and withdrew. Thank the gods they didn't have more of them
Look at how badass that last image of #3 looks. Just...damn!
I feel the need to point out that the panthers 75mm gun was actually a more effective anti-tank gun than the tigers 88mm gun due to having higher penetration and being a smaller calibre was faster to reload. You also failed to mention the reliability problems that plagued the panther, it was worse than the tiger in that regard.
+Sean Taylor for the record, it was only the early panther models with reliability problems. Those problems were phased out from the G model onwards. Also, a common misconception is that the Tiger was unreliable. It was actually a very reliable vehicle, the problem was that (being so complicated) unless it had a very experienced crew it would be difficult to maintain. But yes, the Kwk 46 L.70 75mm gun was a better AT gun than the Kwk 36 L56 on the Tiger.
Niall King the tiger also required a lot of maintenance and being so complicated made it difficult to work on, while the m4 sherman was designed to be easy to work on in the field. If the transmission broke the entire front end would unbolt and you could quickly slap a new one on there and get the tank back out as soon as possible
Having a night vision scope during world war two must have been a huge advantage no one else had anything like that so ahead of their time with much of the technology
*Congress sitting at a table*, "Hey remember that huge tank the German's were going to build?" "Yes, we have the blueprints." "THEN WHY ARN'T WE BUILDING IT?!!?!?"
#4 The stealth ability of this plane was accidental. It was a property of the flying wing and it is why the B-2 uses that design. The Germans just didn't have a very good understanding of radar at that time.
I think you've got the V3 cannons and the Gustav guns all muddled together.
Yer, bit of lack of research on the part of however put this together, Thomas' German cousin Gustav was just a really big gun whereas the V3 wasn't mobile and was something completely different.
Yea Dr bull in the us made one for Saddam theoretically u can launch a warhead into orbit with a gun
Ho229 stealth was accidental. Even the Northrop yb49 was difficult to detect by radar and like the ho229 it was designed for aerodynamic efficiency.
Wouldn't the shockwaves of the v3 cannon destroy everything around it and the sound deafen all those who manned it?
Now that is a question we should be asking.
So pretty much every piece of "advanced" gear we use in war fighting today was in some form or fashion created by the Nazis?
*Cool*
No
Yes, if hate to admit, most of the actual Nazis gave us most of the inventions of the modern world.
the V3 cannon was so inafective thanks to a guy that gave the wrong cordiates so the nazis would miss and sorry for the wrong spelling
I did NAZI that coming
Aaaayyyyyyyy
I dont like where this conversation is Göering
Jew did not make that joke, Anne frankly I find it offensive.
Mr.Sviggels Could you say that these jokes make you unKAMPFortable?
+Ben Brown Keep it going. You've got the crowd rolling in the Heils.
Great vid
can you imagine how different history wouldve been if these prototypes had become operational?
The horten 229 wasn't designed to bee stealthy it was given the paint after they noticed it was sneeky as heck
4. The Horten wasnt planned as a stealth bomber. The reason the Horten Borthers have choosen that design is because of its aerodynamical efficency.
so the Gustav Gun fired roughly the equivalent of 2 1/2 trucks at a target?
12:08 The Nazis were not "really close" to use nukes. They didn't even finish a reactor. For comparison: Chicago Pile-1 (the first US reactor) was in operation in December 1942, 2.5 years before the first nuclear weapon test (the trinity test in July 1945).
WHAT??? another amazing channel?
also I'm surprised no one pointed out that he isn't even showing proper footage for #9 the cannon firing is not the v3 the cannon shown is in the schwerer gustav family of cannons
#10 The A-10 rocket did see development into a fully operational system. The Americans called it "Redstone" and it was used to launch the first 2 Americans into space.
Neko-Bird
Not Hitler, but one of his henchmen. In fact that same henchman took us to the moon.
two words the bell
Simon is the best presenter ever !
Am I the only one that thinks of Hydra from the Marvel universe when I see some of the prototypes?
Same
I think of wolfvenstein
Well considering Hydra is modeled after the Nazis, that's not particularly surprising.
That is where the creators of Hydra got their ideas from.
the horten ho was definitely the plane in the last part of captain America 1
The 229 wasn't designed to be a stealth aircraft, it's stealth capabilities were not discovered until way after the war, it also would not have been undetectable, not in the slightest. It had minor stealth capabilities. It could not have taken out the entire British radar network either, it would have been used as a ground attack aircraft or an interceptor.
Horten ho 229 has futuristic design, but is actually pretty old. the design was on drawing boards since the 20's era before the nazis, it just used rocket engines, instead of jet engines. Many of those airplanes were later redesigned and used in the war.
12:07 The Germans never came close to developing an atomic weapon
Wait?Where is the Die Glocke? How that list is for nazi superweapons and Die Glocke is not there???
Because its a post-war myth.
I watched a few of your 10 Nazi war inventions. How ever I think you missed the Focke-Wulf Triebflugel. such an awesome idea.........if nit would ever work. I think the Nazis should have invested their creativity in making comics with some of these ideas.
The main turret of the p 1000 was actually built before it was cancelled. It was turned into a naval defence gun in Poland.
Its turret was just from the Gneisenau. Though the vehicle was never intended to have been built. Just an idea.
The M4 Sherman was defiantly the most beautiful tank in WWII. (Just my opinion)
But Horribly Unreliable
The physical considerations that shaped the Silbervogel also shaped the Space Shuttle. It was not copied. And their nuclear program was largely ruined by their own insistence upon using 'heavy water'. The Norwegians SANK almost their entire production of heavy water just when the Nazi's were getting close, causing them to dump the whole program.
All i can say is wow.
Very interesting facts .
It's sad to think that these weapons and those worse than them were/are and probably will be in the wrong hands.
zombies,wonderwaffe,thundergun,use of 115, pack a punch (sarcasm)
Ha
You forgot teleportation
On your intro, you mentioned that "they rebuilt their army even though they weren't allowed to." Technically speaking, the "German Army" wasn't rebuilt until after the war began. However, the private Nazi party Army grew to an enormous size. Only later were they unified. That's one of the things that lead to the Valkyrie plot, and the poorer training which lead to the Allied victory.
Thank you for using miles and pounds along with the kilometers and kilograms. I hate when only the metric system is said and not the American measurements because I don't know metric as well. Thank you again for saying both.
What's the difference between this and your older video on these? Some of the ones in the older video are even in here too like the Sun Gun.
To put into scale, 56 miles is about the distance between buffalo ny and Rochester ny
To think that Germany had plans for a solar lazer space station. Satellites are more apt for feasibility.
panther is a super weapon
haha great joke friend
We would of been so fu**ckd if eney of these weapons was ever made
+l CometGaming l Quite a few were
+l CometGaming l A few of them were, but the Nazis would have lost the war anyways, they didn't have enough supplies to make half this stuff.
"fu**cked"
"fu**cked"
...you smart-dj khaled
+l CometGaming l well the German NV scopes were not the only ones the US had some as well the M1 and M3 infreared in service during world war 2 and Korea the rattle probably being destroyed by high altitude bombers and the silbervogel well he german nukes were very far behind as hitler said nuclear science was jewish science
Wouldn’t the e100 or any other e tanks be on this list aswell
What about the P.1000's bigger brother? The P.1500!
And the p1500's even bigger brother: the p2000!
Never heard of that o.O XD Please tell me it's real!
+D-Licious Whoops...i messed up. Turns out the P.2000 was a fan-creation in honour of the other Landkruzer(s). Sorry for any inconviemence.
+David Weintraub I saw that after googling it :p
+D-Licious yeah, accidental hype for something that doesn't exist. Great....
The German nuclear weapons "program" never jelled. Institutional jealousies.
The man in brown on the right side facing Schwere Gustav is Albert Speer.
RIP: Germania.
Wrong first photo for the v3 cannon
Starkiller base! Oh wait, wrong evil army...
12:43 well ok then it just sounds like an easy target for a nuke 😅
"Luxemborg"? Sigh...
The v3 showed pictures of the railway gun as well
German engineering.
Basically inventing a way to weaponize the sun, and creating ICBM's and rockets capable of reaching outer orbit.
The US didn't land on the moon.
Ex-Nazi's did. :'D
?
Where is the Maus?
The cat got it! 😁
@@keironwright6947 Severely under rated comment!
Horten hears a Ho...it just doesn't see it lol
And none of them worked properly.....
Gustav the railway gun, Tomas's Angry German cousin.
the shows you how far ahead the Germans were.
They weren't.
Unfortunately, actually.
Panther a super weapon
Tiger 1 and 2: are we a joke to you?
No it's 25 purple dinosaur huggers who voted no! They live in a different solar system full of teletubbies.
U forgot German ufo and blisic missile deloped
Those never left factory those or we be living in the German ideas we 2
Their ballistic missile was unreliable garbage.
that tank i wouldve approved as well lol im a sucker for massive war machines xD
+Nightwalker290 It's design was not lost on others two machines from the anime Mobile Suit Gundam, they take their design from that massive weapon. The Federations Big Tray land battleship and Zeons Dobday mobile battle platform.
niiiiiccceee owo
The Germans never worked on an Atomic Bomb, even the Heavy Water was not usefull for it.I don't know where this come from try to make Atomic Bomb.
powertothebauer German scientists had said that they would have been able to have a operational nuclear weapon by 1950.
Gcjerryusc u r very right my great great grandfather who lived there told me that they were treated unfairly
What the? No E-100!?
You have to wonder how number two had the space shuttle based off it??? Paperclip anyone?
Simon this message is from 6 years in the future you will have a big beautiful beard buddy
for those that don't want to do the math, the Ratte weighed about 2,000,000 pounds
1,000 x 2,000 = 2,000,000
Not exactly. That's metric tonnes, and is simply the guesstimate.
Tiger Tanks are by far the scariest on land war vehicle
Tiger 2
+GeneralErwinRommel correction- Jagdtiger
+GeneralErwinRommel correction- Jagdtiger
Maus, sadly it got blown up.
wait so if the physicists calculations were incorrect then what would a 3.5 sq mile mirror be able to actually do?
V3 is similar with Scweihre Gustave
#1 the deathstar
Just wanna say typically in the aviation community the letters in a planes designation are said individually.
Ie. J. U. 87
If that makes sense.
Not to be a dick but a couple of the pictures for the V3 cannon weren't the V3 well may have been called the V3 but that was the gustav cannon which there was 2 of them and they were rail way cannons and the one fire was the gustav which was used to destroy a heavy underground bunker 100ft under. If you look up gustav cannon and click the 6:44 second video from ultimate military channel it'll tell you more.
Oh wait I forgot to mention something how do you make the mistake when both are in the same video
eh just don't listen do me I'm also half asleep. I'm not at my top time to talk
No.1 Is the Command and Conquer Generals US Superweapon Particle Weapon
These are playground toys
compared to tech these days
Imagen what 80+ years of nazi tech improvement
Lool no
+GeneralErwinRommel look it up
+GeneralErwinRommel well u can't because the real super weapons are probably secret
What about the StuG?
Does no one check these videos for errors?
Only 5 were actually superweapons
@toptenz New-found-land is how u pronounce it.
mmmh, Fritz eggs
The Panther is not a super weapon.
Says v3 canon, shows gustave canon.
can you imagine if they had put a rail gun on a Ratte????
We are very lucky that Allies and Soviets won otherwise with that advancements in Sun Gun, flying saucers and that Nazi Space shuttle the state of California will become raisins
Except none of those things were really either feasible or even thought out. Just concepts (which wackier stranger, more futuristic designs have come out of the '1920s everywhere in the world).
where is Tiger or hamel m8 ...
Where's the veil?
Where are your glasses? This is unsettling.
Is the moser karl gerat in top 10
What about Maus?
Or the Ratte, for that matter.
Germans wasted a huge amount of resources on these weapons. They needed more weapons not these highly expensive toys
Umm, it's questionable if Germany wanted anything like "world conquest" and representing WWII as such is extremely flawed. Also saying that America somehow won the war is just flat out rejecting all of the sacrifices made by everyone else, USA came in late and mainly served as a workshop while the Europeans, Asians and Africans did majority of the fighting.
the US do love taking credit though..
YOU FREAKING FORGOT THE TIGER TANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(
I think someone needs to build that giant ass tank when you have a couple other tanks running around it they'll picking off little targets and that big sucker is a city Crusher build build up sucker today with our technology very doable
>
Its a Stealth Fighter not bomber
BLITZKRIEG - Heinrike Luna no it is designed a bomber by the Luftwaffe.
it was built a fighter bomber by the horten brothers
The 229 was neither a fighter or bomber. Nor stealth. It was a proof-of-concept for a fighter.
Wünderwaffen for the win!
I hate to be that nitpicking guy, but there are some gross inaccuracies in the description. Panthers were no super weapons by any stretch of imagination, they were grossly unreliable and mostly fell victim to their own transmission and drive train failures way before seeing any enemy action. While good tanks overal, their notoriety is largely a myth. The Ho/Go 229 was never intended as a stealth aircraft, nor was it intended to primarily be a bomber. Any attempt at reducing radar cross section on that type of airframe came after the war, and the flying wing design resembling modern stealth bombers was not chosen for reasons of being more stealthy to radar. The "advanced" technology of the nazis is also a myth, the thing was built mostly of wood, they even had to adjust the airframe so it would not catch fire from the engines. And finally, the v2 rocket was indeed a ballistic missile and at the time was actually called long range. Nowdays a whooping range of 320km would barely allow to classify it as short range bm and would definitely not pose any threat to the US mainland unlike proper long range missiles.
actually, the Panther was only unrealiable up till the G version. After that, the issues where smoothed out. Do some research first please
Jayden Taylor ausf G was more reliable than prior models, yes, but by no means it was competitive in this area with its contemporaries. In '44 during the battle of the Bulge as much as 35-40% of panther G tanks were unavailable due to mechanicsl issues (transmission is one thing, but Panther's suspension was overstressed as well). At any rate please clarify, are you arguing that pzkpfw 5 was a superweapon or not?
I dunno, man. Even with some of this stuff, I'm not sure the Nazis could've won... There's a lot of ifs and maybes here, an encroaching Soviet victory notwithstanding...
Now, that would've have been a cold war..
