Thank you! 57 yr. old recently diagnosed with tremor dominant Parkinsons. Fortunately, non dominant arm. I'm going to try this along with fasting which really jacks up the ketones. I've been using Metamucil before meals and taking probiotic every day which has been very beneficial for constipation. I've been researching anything I can to treat the cause, not just symptoms. I know the gut flora is very important as well.

It may not be the gluten but the highly processed flours, preservatives, and other additives (sugar) in commercial breads. Sprouted wheat, kamut, spelt, etc are another story. Keto made me feel totally crazy, it is NOT for me-too extreme-but I support people doing everything they can to fight Parkinson’s and if this works for anybody-hooray!

It makes me so angry when I read someone has died from Parkinsons Condition. You will die WITH Parkinsons not FROM Parkinsons. I do fall regularly and this is what I feel could be my future. I keep focusing on that word NOT FROM.
Pills have been my Savour. ......14 years. Yes, the last couple of years has / is a challenge.
I believe the Exenatide Injection weekly which I have been having on and off for about 18 months is my answer. When OFF I definitely regressed. I have been back on Exenatide now for 8 weeks and now know I’m improving. My whole being , energy, depression , confidence, sleeping has improved.

I'd really like to hear from Dr. King about the keto diet- how it's implemented on a practical level. With my limited understanding, I'm anticipating eating a lot of coconut fat, olive oil, etc. I'm wondering how to evaluate "normal" foods- the lack of fiber, etc. Thanks

    • @ms.q7445
      @ms.q7445 10 месяцев назад

You have to have fiber. If you count net carbs instead of carbs psyllium husks have zero net carbs. A lot of keto people who are healthy eat lots of cauliflower, broccoli, brussels sprouts, etc. And semi-sour berries such as raspberries!

Stay on it your body needs to detoxify the sugar, that causes problems in the brain and in all the bidy, you know sugar cayses duabetes, high blood pressure, heart vond. cancer, arthritis, Alzheimer's?
You are on your way to healing, you already got more energy that means your brain cells and neuron conditions are improving by stopping sugars & due to proper food. He didn't say he was healed immediately, you didn't get sick in one month or 7 months this rakes longer, so hive it a chance more time, the brain regenerates but must be patience, what have you hot to lose

I think its an excellent interview, but not sure I found the right person on Facebook. Also have questions about Kelogenic diet with Parkinson's. You're not supposed to have protein when taking carba dopa-leva dopa , or dairy. Most people wait until night time for protein
. Take away that and carbs and you'll starve.

Thanks for your valuable information. You mean you also have tremor or Parkinson, and taking lecithine stops it? Greetings from Indonesia

Only help you will get is thru your diet. Keep looking on YT for the guidance you are in need of. Fats are one of the keys. Look up Bullet Proof coffee.

Parkinson's sufferers have low uric acid. Dietary measures to raise blood levels of uric acid reduce Parkinson's symptoms. A ketogenuc diet can effect this, but can also raise uric acid past the desirable point, Into the range that may cause gout. Any diet that raises uric acid will have the desired effect.. Dairy products lower uric acid. Good for gout, bad for Parkinson's. Eliminating GMO grains and processed foods is good for everyone.

That is like the Atkins diet where all grains and potatoes are excluded . Seems good , though I believe there is a lot more to it .
My dad died last year from Parkinsons . He was a farmer of good health , vitamins , no junk food , honey instead of sugar (beekeeper too), lots of exercise , no alcohol , no cigarettes etc . BUT..............he was given a massive dose of antibiotics some years before and as such , most of the 6000 different types of bacteria in the gut was destroyed . The system was totally unbalanced and as a result some bacteria proliferate to such an extent due to lack of control/competition from other types that it causes chemical and bad bacterial side effects . One of those side effects I feel strongly about are the out of control viruses that eat and travel through the Vegus nerve to the brain and cause massive destruction of nerves , myelin and dopamine production and transmission.
Dont forget that the gut is the foundation from which all good health springs and if the balance is wrong you will end up wrong. If certain types are not present due to meds , bad diet etc you will have a serious imbalance and over time the consequences are dreadful.
Its the same in nature . In central Africa there was a lake where 99 % of the hippos were killed for their tusks to make salt and pepper jars for tourists . As a consequence 300 of the 326 indigenous fish species became extinct because the little hatchlings feed on the algae blooms of the hippos dung excreted in the water after feeding . Since the hippos were dead , no algae and the baby fish die . Stage 2 feeding was the mosquito larvae of which 99 % are consumed by the second feeding stage of the baby fish who are now dead due to starvation at stage one. As a consequence thereof the malaria went up 10 000 % and 15 000 people died of it , unlike the years before where maybe 70 to 110 died . So there you have it .
    BALANCE YOUR GUT FLORA.
