Good video. You could do a video ranking driver assistance of these Chinese vehicles and comparing with the established brands like Hyundai/Kia, VW etc for some the mass market vehicles. Maybe just a white board, and slot each brand in for (1) adaptive cruise; (2) lane centering; (3) driver attention systems; (4) ability to turn off easily and keep off etc. For me this is a key differentiator. Even just a discussion based on experience. Greetings from Australia.
@@henrylawson430 Hi Henry, thank you so much for the support and suggestion. That’s a great idea! I use these features every day and yes, I can definitely put up a video like that hopefully in the near future.
Really nice POV, thanks Jerry. With all these little issues with lane keep assist, regen braking, no OTA updates and buried sub menu options, have they been communicated to Chery and will they address them in future software updates?
The regen braking intensity of Chery is controlled by the force of the brake pedal. Light pressure will lead to weak regen braking intensity, while heavy pressure will lead to strong regen braking intensity.
Thx for the video, I struggle to learn how to use this cruise control function well as even the AD doesn’t know how to explain it to me. I will try to watch this vid a few more times to get the hang of it
Hello and thank you for your very useful video. Unfortunately in Italy we don't have a correctly translated manual for the new version of the Omoda 5 and I have some problems understanding how the ICCS works. Let me ask you a few questions so I can bring this information to the community on Facebook. I have some problems understanding English even if it is subtitled..... To activate ICCS exactly what should I do? Can I always do it or do I have to wait for the message inviting me to activate it given the right conditions? How does the speed limiter work exactly? in the sense.... if I want the maximum speed to be that of the road signs, does the system automatically adapt to them in limiting it or does it always have to be me who sets it manually? Thanks again!!
To activate ICC, you can do it at anytime when the vehicle is on a driving speed Speed limiter is a separate feature and the car doesn't automatically adapt to a new speed. You need to set it manually.
I need to watch this video multiple times to fully understand how to use it effectively.

I'm sure Chery will address these at some point. I believe dealerships can carry out the software update during service.

Even just press lightly the brake pedal that cause the brake lamp turned on is enough to make regen braking into action.
