This is probably the best CVT I’ve seen reviewed. The car moves, and you’re most likely to driver in eco mode anyway. I don’t like the looks of the car but the interior is fantastic. Chery/Omoda probably makes the most beautiful interiors around. I’ve my suspicions though, that test model you were given looks like it’s been in an accident.
I feel like you and I were talking at some point about all you said above because I literally saw it that way and to top it off I suspected that something might have happened to the car, especially from the rear and front left side. You are spot on there👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Solid review as always brother. Good to see your clean, honest take on a vehicle, and great that you are ever more comfortable and in your zone in these videos. Keep bringing us quality!
Been a while Nomonde.🙂! I am sure the C9 will showcase the real intentions with the Chery v Omoda because right now this is above the 4 Pro, not 7 and 8.
All I can say is the energy is amazing brother The car looks amazing 🥹🥲🎊 I think the Omoda has something going for itself. Definitely not the luxury of cherry😂
It's the Omoda energy😅. I think they did good and surely the future is bright for them in SA, we will wait to see if the C9 can continue on this run because it looks amazing. Appreciate you bro🙏🙂
Thank you so much Kabelo. Yah Beijing is a tough one to get over a week but I have driven it again since the test video. I will see what I can do, will also try to get it. 🙂🫶🏾
I think the C9 is actually the luxury that Omoda brand is meant to be because it is engineered to be a luxury car. It is a rebadged Exeed RX which is the pure luxury brand for Chery.
Thank you so much. I want the NP200. Finding a loaded H100 to do this can be tricky because most of them will be working, they will say I am wasting their time.
I think your analysis are spot on sir...this a a coupe version of Chery, not the premium version, otherwise quality would have been superior. Anyway as always we appreciate your efforts sir...may the channel grow...🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much Demtumza. Always and forever appreciative of the courage you give. I think the C9 can shift things if it tops the Tiggo 8 Pro. Can't wait to see it on the road.🙏🏽🫶🏾
I did ey. It is good quality on low volumes and can even maintain good balance while driving but it can't maintain the quality when you take the volume high.
I definitely think the C9 is the one that is luxury because its actually a rebadged car from Chery's luxury brand. I think the C5 wasn't thought all the way through and they were still trying to figure out what Omoda is. Its like Jaecoo for example, they are trying to position it like Range Rover (Capable offroad luxury) but the J8 is a rebadged Tiggo 9 which isn't specifically engineered for offroad like the J7. So that comparison of the C5 being the coupe version of the Tiggo 4 I think makes sense but not the luxury version. Can't wait for the C9 to be driven but from the Exeed RX reviews I am seeing that seems to be true luxury - materials, drivewise. Like it was engineered purposely to be a luxury car
Yeah, I checked it out at the 2023 FOM and it does look and feel the part (C9 that is). I was not exactly sure where the Jaecoo falls but the boxy shapes make me fall in love with them before even touching them. The C9 should kickstart the luxury perception, I hope it is priced right and has no issues at all. It deserves the attention (together with Jaecoo).
Great review, as always. I'm looking forward to Jaicoo's arrival. It looks much nicer. Hopefully, you will review it for us. This C5 is just a pure No👎🏿
Funny enough the Tiggo 7 Pro CVT simulates changes in Sport and Eco mode especially under full acceralation. I wouldnt love that in the Omoda hence i didnt bother to buy it.
I love the interior as well, the charging pad is almost well positioned until you realise it is in the area where the sun shines the most in the car most times. The phone gets hot from the charger and then sun, not a good combination.
🤣🤣🤣. Chinese cars have proven themselves in many ways. I think now we are just going to call them "cars" because they are normal, sometimes better and mostly great value for money.
@siwelilembanjwa5552 had it for 3 months you can read my comments on different you tube sites as to what I went through CT dealership and head office are absolutely useless cost me a fortune to get out of the deal would advise people to stay away from the Omoda C5 and definitely the upcoming E5 because of all the technical problems I had with the C5
@siwelilembanjwa5552 had a tiggo pro 4 before the Omoda great car upgraded to the Omoda what a disappointment 😞 I have now bought a pro 7 executive build quality on the Chery tiggo's is 💯 % better than the Omoda and everything works great

THIS IS THE BEST BEST CAR in this segment... Cant wait for the C9😊😊😊
I am eagerly awating the C9. Priced right, it can be the best seller for Omoda👌🏾
Solid review as always brother. Good to see your clean, honest take on a vehicle, and great that you are ever more comfortable and in your zone in these videos. Keep bringing us quality!
Much appreciated, thank you so much. Will keep pushing to improve. Means a lot🙂🫶🏾
ja i agree that should be the entry level spec love the review

Great review as always bro...please do the same with the Beijing x55 as you had mentioned during the 1st test video🙏🏾🙏🏾
I support this too

The Omoda's are considered coupe version of their main stream sibilings. The C5 is a Coupe Tiggo 4, the upcoming C9 more of the Jaecoo J8/Tiggo 8 Pro
I think the C9 is actually the luxury that Omoda brand is meant to be because it is engineered to be a luxury car. It is a rebadged Exeed RX which is the pure luxury brand for Chery.
I always put it with the Tiggo 7 Pro but seeing that it does not feel as great, I would agree that I can look at it being a superior Tiggo 4 Pro
@@sandisongwenya4667 Totally agree. Can't wait to see that on the road, stunning vehicle in so many ways.
Great review.
Please consider doing the H100 loaded or the NP200.
Thank you so much. I want the NP200. Finding a loaded H100 to do this can be tricky because most of them will be working, they will say I am wasting their time.
I like both the interior & exterior ❤
I am more on the interior🙂
Great review as always

@@sebuwam Indeed sir...hopefully they'll drop the CVT as well on the C9 in favour of the DCT....
@@demtumza I hope so too🙏🏽
Thank you for your effort, but do you advise me to buy the 1.5 Turbo? Please answer to me
You have to adjust the settings of the sound system to balance so that you can get a proper sound
I did ey. It is good quality on low volumes and can even maintain good balance while driving but it can't maintain the quality when you take the volume high.
My mazda cx3 2016 fogged in the light but they replaced it for free since it was under warranty
Unusual of Mazda, trust them not to miss on quality but glad they responded well
Oh man I see it's pulling, my question is can it keep it up with the tiggo 4?
From my experience with the Tiggo 4 Pro, yes it can, it feels punchier actually. It's definitely not lazy this one👌🏾
❤❤❤
👌👌🙂

comparing it to the tiggo 7 pro which one will you recommend
Tiggo 7 Pro every single time

I am looking forward to that one yoh, I love the shape and design. I hope it drives as good as it looks.🙂
This car goes😢😅 🔥 🔥
It really does, I am impressed with the performance overall.

I'd take the Tiggo 7 Pro any day honestly😅
Not a fan of the exterior design of the car but the interior is great, except for the charging pad. It's just THERE in your face.
I love the interior as well, the charging pad is almost well positioned until you realise it is in the area where the sun shines the most in the car most times. The phone gets hot from the charger and then sun, not a good combination.
To those who say that they don't like Chinese cars, they should go build their own.
🤣🤣🤣. Chinese cars have proven themselves in many ways. I think now we are just going to call them "cars" because they are normal, sometimes better and mostly great value for money.
@@sebuwam and more affordable than European manufacturers
@@Lesiba2 one hundred percent true.
Put a hybrid in that car, it will sell
I am sure somewhere there are plans for that or it's already on the road. It looks like it's from that "era" anyway😅
I think this car was in a collision
Your suspicion is my suspicion🤔
Just add Sk to the name of that car, to read as SkOmoda
hehe

You don't know how to drive a cvt.
I think I did insinuate that in the video🙂
