They should give savage blow or surge instead of wave. Savage blow increase his nuking because he has slow attack and surge to compensate his 17s attack cycle so he can still do some damage while waiting another 17 second
regular wave would've fixed him high risk for a very worth reward and it doesn't matter what the meta is if you just get bombarded by gigantic damage every now and then

This is slowly confirming my headcanon that ponos is either too afraid give the lugas any talents because it would break their intended gimmick if they got ACTUAL, good talents that helps them out. Or that they "reinforce" their gimmick.
One thing i was afraid off with UT and UF is them making talents a “oh who cares if it’s bad, UT can fix it!” in ponos eyes. Not saying that it’s happening but Shishilan and Jizo getting some of the single worst talents back to back after being meh for ages is worrying
Tbh you can't even say that about Jizo, he got talents he can actually attempt to make use out of, and still has viability in parts of the game still. Shi doesn't get that luxury.

It getting Toxic Immune dosent help it much, Surge resist is sad, and curse immune is a good talent, but you’d rather use base jizo in relic/angel stages. It’s good talents for WHEN jizo gets a UF, but does nothing to help it’s rn atleast in it’s evolved form.

Shishilan Pasalan is the only unit I was able to true form at level 20 without having to use any catfruits. I don't know how or why, but I was happy because he was good. I upgraded it to level 26 and it just stayed on that level for years

Even though I’ve seen worse talents, this is one of the saddest talent upgrades I’ve seen on a unit. I absolutely love Shishilan; he was my first super good Uber and I so want him to be king again. They should’ve given him surge immune at the least. That would’ve made sense, given how he used to be the go to guy for wave stages when there wasn’t many wave immune cats. Mini waves make sense but I really wish they would’ve given him speed up. That would help to fix the problem of his slow speed. And what’s the point of giving him immunity to an effect (like slow) when every enemy WITH said effect will knock him back anyway? I’m so sad…I want my boy Shishilan to return to his former glory…and I waited so long for his talents…maybe in an ultra form, buddy…
Despite how powercrept this unit is as most people in the comments have mentioned, I respect this unit all the more since he was the only unit in my deck that managed to outrange the god forsaken behemoth elephant while being an absolute powerhouse dishing out high damage. Tbf, counter surge would not even do that much given that he might only be able to eat like 3 surges before passing away. But it is already a far better upgrade from those immunities.

Ok but how is atk up a higher priority than mini wave when the entire counter argument you made against mini wave is “his attacks don’t land”. At least with mini wave, if he gets distracted by a peon or non-boss enemy, there’s still a chance that if his hit lands against it, it will have a widespread effect on the whole field + sniper capability. Atk up is arguably lower priority because 1. *he can’t hit shit* and 2. He doesn’t really benefit all that much from the damage boost considering he already takes off a big amount of hp from enemies.
It's only 50% chance. If he does manage to land an attack, it's not guaranteed to mini-wave. Even worse if you don't have RNG on your side. 20% attack buff is constant.
it's not guaranteed. and seeing how low mini-wave piercing DPS is, you will gain more benefit from using real sniper unit over him. plus the cost. 235 NP for half chance of bonus DMG or 175 NP for constant 20% DMG buff. it's not a difficult choice
also, you can upgrade halfway with ATK Up and you still gain clear benefit from it. meanwhile you are forced to go full upgrade on mini-wave to get full use of it and it's still suck
And some people still hold this idiot Uber over Assassinlan and Piccolan… Shishi is near the bottom for Lugas, especially since we can now rule out “getting good talents”

Surge inmune and attack frecuency sounds better than slow inmune and weaken resist
