    PERHAPS, YOU COULD ADD SOME SORT OF A "BATTERY RESTRAINT HARNESS"/BAND, TO HOLD IT PRECISELY (FRONT-BACK) TO PREVENT FRICTION AGAINST THE MOTOR CASE, OR, ANY BALANCE (GG) SHIFTING....

    Blade are fantastic for getting into the hobby, they make something that is complicated simple for the beginner. I would love to gain the skill to fly a goblin kraken or raw they are just lovely machines.

    14:30 Yup, that's exactly what happened. just cuz that tail skid's a tiny bit longer than the tail blade diameter, it'll still strike when the heli's at an angle.
    That's an amazing flight time too. I'm waiting for mine to come. I went the RTF route as Horizon was having a sale.

    I have the same heli and agree that it is a blast to fly. I have disabled safe as I find that it is somewhat a crutch, but definitely a great feature for those new to helicopters. I would like to see you test out the panic button but probably flipping it back to flight mode 1 with safe enabled is best.

  • @scottpurkess597

    Try throwing some negative pitch when your upside down or doing a roll a lot less strain on the motor which results in longer flight times not bad being a fixed-wing pilot

    Hello. I like your vids. I'm curious. When you are going out of SAFE mode, are you going up to Idle up 1 and taking off the auto-level, then after doing some loops or flips, then immediately putting the heli back into Normal idle W/Stability SAFE mode again to fly it? It seems unclear to me. Thank you.

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  Год назад

      I'm pretty much flying in SAFE, then switching to Idle Up when I'm about to make the maneuver, then flipping out of SAFE to complete the maneuver, then right back since I'm such an inexperienced heli pilot. Still working out my own "kinks" ;)

    Hiya mate, I took my 330s for its maiden flight today and followed your set up video, for some reason I'm getting little to no Cyclic controls. The rudder makes the heli spin in the air fine and the throttle is all fine but when it's in the air u could go fully over to the right with your Cyclic and it will barely move. I'm a bit confused! It's brand new out the box

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  2 года назад +1

      I wonder if you have the RATES or EXPO goofed up??? I'd dig in. Take the heli out of SAFE (on the ground if necessary) and see if the cyclic moves more like you're expecting. If it does it out of SAFE, then maybe you've got a setting wrong in the SAFE setup???

      @@BrianPhillipsRC it's okay dude! I've been in contact with horizon hobby and we figured it out! Basically the firmware got updated on the flybarless unit as it had a bad Bug, I have the old firmware that has a bug! You can see what version your running if you look at the bottom of your NX8 screen while in forward programming. Mine is currently running 5.03 however the latest firmware for the flybarless unit is 5.04 or something cant remember exact numbers, I've ordered a spektrum USB lead and I'll be able to update it all! Whoa - that is one awesome heli Brian! 🤩✅🚁 With all these sub 250g knocking about, d’you know of any with a servo tail (belt or TT) ?
    Don’t get me wrong, There are some great advances with brushless tails but I just love the mechanics of a direct drive tail 🚁🚁

    i just picked up one of these to teach my GF, a first timer, to fly.. she's never flown anything that hovers.. not even a drone.. only RC flying she's done is a few minutes on the sticks with one of my F3A pattern ships.. of course, it tracks like it's on rails and not terribly fast.. so she did well.. no takeoffs or landings.. but she wants to learn to fly helis... so I got a smokin FB marketplace deal on one of these, new in box.. $100... yeah.. thought sure it was a scam till i actually had it in hand.. thy guy won it in a giveaway, didn't fly RC.. he even looked them up before he listed it, so he knew what the sell for.. i just happen to get to it 1st.. his phone was blowing up while i was buying it.. so it's going to be the training bird.. i'll let he use one my my TX till we see if she "sticks" with it.. if she does, i'll buy her a nice TX.. i'm not a spektrum guy.. but maybe get her one of those new white Spektrum NX7e+ .. she can be stylish while the other "non flying" wives and GFs watch her .. which is why i think she wants to fly anyway.. only a couple of the women fly anything at our local field.. so i'm glad she wants to participate.. and, if she ever becomes a wife, she can't bitch about me spending $$$ on RC stuff.. not if she's doing it too.. lol..

    Heli’s were my first love, its how I learned how to fly. Check this out Brian from about five years ago this is my oxy 3 stretched (285mm) with a 6s pulse 1050 75c pack ….head speed in idle up 2 was insane! this thing was bonkers, such an adrenaline rush… also I own the property across the street and to the left so pretty much had that little field to fly in I don’t do that anymore I was young and 😜

    Hey Brian, you should get a 550 size heli much better flying characteristics . I think you would enjoy having a 550 , 600 to 700 niro would also be fun . Since you have so many 6s packs 550 would be your most sensible option .
