My heart goes out to the one guardsman aiming his gun at the monstrosity that's going to be happening in the middle. Good luck with whatever he thinks he's going to do
I can just imagine how Emil reacted when his first child was born. He would’ve picked up his child, then turned around to the other people in the room. After a slight pause, he triumphantly lifted up his child declaring: “Now it’s the time for the grand reveal!”
I really like how more streamlined the process is compared to the Manta, every video has meaningful updates to the build and doesn't "waste time" on anything, can't wait for the final piece!
The final shots with the smoke gave me an idea: You should definetly aim for bubbles to be present on the resin on top of the lava part. Some serious fumes would be coming out of there, producing bubbles. Maybe have some sort of air being blown from beneath that lava, so there are naturally produced bubbles while the resin is cured?
If that open hatch on the bottom right is going to be under water, it would be cool to have a little scuba maintenance dude running for his life to the open hatch to escape the Titan fight. Or you could have a team of breachers outside the hatch preparing for a special operation to assault the Titan from beneath the waves.
I think if you only place the guarman who cover his ears on the hill it would bring out the terrifing scene more. he is lost, all alone and then he sees how pointless he is in a war where titans fight each other and he just loses it
As a noob to the hobby who is just about to finish his 15th mini ever, I just wanted to say thanks for the channel and all the tips & tricks as well as the inspiration. Watching your channel makes painting fun and eases my OCD demanding perfection
Keeping the terrain building visuals running in the background is what made me, for the first time ever, _not_ skip ahead 1 minute during your ad section. Definitely recommend doing it like that in future so we don't miss out on content while you're doing the obligatory plug of the sponsor, and so you get the watch time 👍
Minor suggestion before any resin pour, if possible add under water bubble plume from the lava. Just for that extra bit of detail. Love the work good luck
One thing I discovered by accident recently, on such large surfaces if you spray water first, you get the paint to flow better through the nooks and crannies and smoother color gradients are created
I always wear a glove (or both), glasses, and a repirator when using streaking grime, rust streaks, engine grime, etc, even if mixing in odorless turpentine; Emil doesn’t do it in this video...
I dont know what the water level is going to be, but it shouldnt be too close to the ground level as there has to big waves coming from the movement of the titans in the water
My guys! 1) the hand painted numbers was awesome. 2) merging your in-video ad with your main video in the background is a stroke of genius. I watched the tufts get applied while hearing about your sponsor. Very very slick Great video as always! Can wait to see more.
I hope you can do a tutorial about how you did the lava sometime. I never thought of using the vallejo water texture for it. Definitely interested in the layers of colors needed.
I love watching your process for copper and vertigree. The result is super punchy and exceptional. That carries onto the shading of the rock face. I don't know what it is but theres a gratifying "coziness" to it. Almost a glow radiating. It makes me remember my friend drawing a grid to start their painting and teacher pauses and goes "Your grid has emotion...how?" The tanks with the IG definitely needed more showing off.
The amount of epicness that the diorama exhumes on every video is just increasing!!! I know it is redundant at this point, but adding the goblin which started the entire thing would be a nice easter egg.... you can put him drowing in the ocean.... easy...
Stuff like this (your Diorama videoes) really shows how skilled you guys really are in the hobby. Nothing but the highest quality techniques and professionalism. Well done
Basically, having something relevent to the video I'm watching in the background has achieved what the sponsors want...for me NOT to skip through the ad. Well done boys they gonna love you for that, which, hopefully leads to more revenue for your channel.
Everyone has to bring their A game to deliver such high quality videos. Emil and Lukas deserve all the credit for their painting and crafting skills but their editor might even be more creative than them. Kudos to you for your superb editing and making the videos so much more fun and exciting.
I would be glorious if you could add some effects to where the lava will meet the water, so it would seem that the water is evaporating there in contact with the hot surface.
maybe their could be some sea gulls or something or a creature or some soldiers climbing up the cliff. also this is so awesome! just starting to get into this sorta stuff, although much smaller dioramas of course haha.
If I could make a suggestion, I feel like the sea floor needs a little something right now, while I know it's hard to place things in case the Titan's are getting in the way, but right now it doesn't exactly read as being the 'ocean'. feel like some coastal sea plants, fish and maybe even wreckage from the possible war that is happening, would go along way to sell the look.
Stunning work, I would like to suggest some blast craters and war scarring on some of the landscape to show previous battles maybe. Other than that it's awesome.
I would've loved to see a single Space Marine standing among the scared and running Guard, looking up at the Titans fighting with awe Because "they shall know no fear"
id be cool if... you were able to incorporate a reference to all the armies and units traded to make this happen. Beyond just the goblin. Maybe a skull or helmet kitbash necklace wrapped around one of the titan's guns. For bigger units, maybe a kill marker painted on one of the titan's cockpits.
Amazing! I love your work! I already can't wait to see what you decide to do next! I know this is gonna be mind blowing when it's finished! Someone is going to be VERY lucky!
Hey Squidmar, great work I love your stuff! So nice to have a channel focused on minis and painting and dioramas not just battles!!! I was trying to get some merch but your spring page didn't work. Any ideas? Keep up the awesome work, love you guys, cant wait to see the finished titans!!
I love the juxtaposition of watching the squidmar boys out in the snow after watching Table top time squinting in the blaring sun. All the doing the same thing, making cool shit
I am constantly gobsmacked about your excellent painting but the shear realism and quality of your scenic work, love it. Oh, that kneeling Guardsman just reminds of Charlston Heston at the end of Planet of the Apes 😄.
Looking awesome! Hope you'll add corals, scallops and all that sort of stuff to the buildings in the water, look up sunken ship wrecks for reference :)
We got our own miniature paint brushes and unique miniatures, you can find them here and support us at the same time: www.squidmar.com/latepledge
FYI, you didn't pin this comment 👀
ayayayauwuwu!
(translation: looking good!)
where are you going to in melbourne
Please put some mud on those tires =)
@@thewhitesamurai The Arc40k event and House of War!
Like so many other, I still think you should add a goblin as an homage to where the titans started out.
This would be awesome!
Just a silly little goblin floating in the water 😂
And he should be riding on the titans!
They have to find a way to sneak a cheeky gobo in somewhere!!!!
Captive goblin in a cage dangling over the water like a captured pirate put on display so its death be shown.
That'd be sick cool 😀
My heart goes out to the one guardsman aiming his gun at the monstrosity that's going to be happening in the middle. Good luck with whatever he thinks he's going to do
Maybe he's just getting a better look though the scope.
@@X.davidWilliams nah he shot down the enemy titan so the other can brutalize it
Clearly a man of action seeing that he is the only one not screaming.
Chad you mean? He's alright just looking for any weak points.
The descendant of the guys that throw their gun at superman after they run out of bullets

100% my thoughts
As a noob to the hobby who is just about to finish his 15th mini ever, I just wanted to say thanks for the channel and all the tips & tricks as well as the inspiration. Watching your channel makes painting fun and eases my OCD demanding perfection
I second this, thanks Squidmar!
Second that as a fellow noob who is currently working on their 11th mini! some great tips from this channel.
Love the verdigris and copper tubing look, Lukas is the true secret star of this show!
For real! I really wanna know those colors so I can try my hand at recreating that gorgeous outcome!
@@PaintingTheDemonsAway Same here!
Same, receipt for copper and verdigris would be great
@@PaintingTheDemonsAway Same! Squidmar, can you share the recipe?
Good luck with the resin pour, emperor knows you'll need it.
Also, I love how you just have a whole-ass hobby store paint rack
resin will make this literally The Worlds Largest Paperweight

I appreciate how dedicated you guys are to being safe.

Shoutout to the little Emil and Lucas tags on the pipes (E420 and L69)
I dont know what the water level is going to be, but it shouldnt be too close to the ground level as there has to big waves coming from the movement of the titans in the water
This video alone should be considered as an enciclopedia for modeling! You guys are awesome!
My guys! 1) the hand painted numbers was awesome.

there's a lap underneeth
The details on these projects are so amazing. The lava effect is sick, and I love the way the fuel tank is done!

I love the one guy at the end pointed off towards the crater like he's going to shoot the warlord titan with his little frickin lasgun hysterical
Watching the 8 pointed start take shape was breathtaking the change from just a white blob to the magma was *chefs kiss*
The amount of epicness that the diorama exhumes on every video is just increasing!!! I know it is redundant at this point, but adding the goblin which started the entire thing would be a nice easter egg.... you can put him drowing in the ocean.... easy...
Lucas is puttin in the work, man. Major props to all his effort and growing presence in the channel. Great stuff guys!
WOW That Verdigris and that lava. You guys Kills it every freakin' time.
Stuff like this (your Diorama videoes) really shows how skilled you guys really are in the hobby.
Nothing but the highest quality techniques and professionalism.
Well done
Since Majorkill is helping out, I think it works be cool there was some sort of Major Mini integration or some kind of nod to him
Why does nobody appreciate the Emil420 and the Lucas69 on the containers? Nice! I like very much!
Basically, having something relevent to the video I'm watching in the background has achieved what the sponsors want...for me NOT to skip through the ad. Well done boys they gonna love you for that, which, hopefully leads to more revenue for your channel.
That was the best way to do an ad I've ever seen! You're amazing thank you
I can't get over how real the cliffs look.
looks great guys! also appreciate the sponsor spot just being in the background
This project is probably my favourite on YT... it's looking amazing so far!
Everyone has to bring their A game to deliver such high quality videos. Emil and Lukas deserve all the credit for their painting and crafting skills but their editor might even be more creative than them. Kudos to you for your superb editing and making the videos so much more fun and exciting.
The weathering parts are super satisfying!
I would be glorious if you could add some effects to where the lava will meet the water, so it would seem that the water is evaporating there in contact with the hot surface.
Something about this channel/their videos is just so soothing and calming.
I'm loving that one dude valiantly trying to shoot a Titan with a lazgun!
The editing of these videos is superb
often people will just not understand the time and effort that goes into this stuff. Fantastic Work.
Looking great! Though I think the cliff side could do with a little more wash, it's looking a bit too pale.
I was thinking the same thing, could just be lighting but idk, it looks white almost
This looks insane! Glad to tag along!
maybe their could be some sea gulls or something or a creature or some soldiers climbing up the cliff. also this is so awesome! just starting to get into this sorta stuff, although much smaller dioramas of course haha.
This is looking amazing, I don't know if its just the lighting but the cliffs are looking a bit pale, they could do with a little more love

My favorite part so far is the "E420" and "L69" markings on the tanks
That lava effect is perfection.
I would love to see a more detailed video on how the cadians were painted. They look amazing.
Stunning work, I would like to suggest some blast craters and war scarring on some of the landscape to show previous battles maybe. Other than that it's awesome.
L(ucas)69 and E(mil)420 on those rusted machine parts. Nice.
Great work. It's coming along nicely. I look forward to the grand, grand, Grand reveal at the end.
Shaht aht to the editor for that clean grand reveal transition.
I would've loved to see a single Space Marine standing among the scared and running Guard, looking up at the Titans fighting with awe
Because "they shall know no fear"
I love how the two numbers you painted are 420, and 69...
I wish I was talented enough to build cool stuff all day and then give it away.
Keep up the good work
amazing work. can't wait to see it finished
That lava effect is really good
That grand reveal caught me off guard, way to go editor I mean Emil who wasnt busy with something else
OMG can we get a guide for that Lucas' lava with the airbrush? Such a good job.
Loving how much time and money you committing to this, it looks great so keep up the good work!
Lucas saying ''Vert-de-gris'' is prime entertainement.
you guys are truly masters at what you do
awaiting for the titan to show, awesome work ! and will their be affiliate links in EU or france maybe?

You two could paint the side of a barn and I would watch, as always a great video thank you
I pickup so many techniques just watching your videos, love you guys!!!!!

Wow this is really coming together! Love the lava!!!
You should had some aquatic plants in the style of Subnautica awesome work
That lava looks amazing.
It's going to be epic. Can't wait to see the next episode.
That one guardsman who doesn't land a single shot on the gigantic target
What a thing! Can't wait to see all stuff on their places!
I feel like you have to put a cute little squid hidden in this diorama, just for the real eagle eyed people! Love your content btw
Lukas you have some crazy freehand skill. Love this build , must say I was thinking Capt scarlett at one point of this video lol
Truly astounding work
Amazing! I love your work! I already can't wait to see what you decide to do next! I know this is gonna be mind blowing when it's finished! Someone is going to be VERY lucky!
We need a dedicated video on how to make and paint that lava 👍

God i'm going to buy so many tickets for this draw... i want this so bad. and i'd put it on permanent display at my LGS so more people can enjoy it.

Keep up the awesome work, love you guys, cant wait to see the finished titans!!
grand reveal was best part of the whole video!
My 2 favorite football player of all time mentioned in this work. Emil 420 and Lukas 69. Man i wish i had gotten shirts when they werer available....
I love the juxtaposition of watching the squidmar boys out in the snow after watching Table top time squinting in the blaring sun. All the doing the same thing, making cool shit

I’d love a video showing where you store the final products
That lava turned out so good, hope it will be plenty visible even after you hit it with a dum truck full of resin :D
That lava looks phenomenal, I would love a step by step on how you achieved that.
Absolutely insane! Love your videos and especially following these massive projects you embark on! Keep it up!
looks amazing already
Why is there no copy of the goblin that started all this hiding in a cave or bushes watching?
E420 and L69? Immature bunch you are.... I love every bit of it.🤣
Looking awesome! Hope you'll add corals, scallops and all that sort of stuff to the buildings in the water, look up sunken ship wrecks for reference :)
This videos been more goofy than the last couple and I really enjoy that.
