they are going for $5000 a piece here because they're "hard to find" and "getting rarer!"
he always gets good deals n stuff idk how 😂
yeah its annoying, everyone in AB sells em at 5K
I just bought a 940 turbo in Spain for 2k euros
The prices are going high, you can buy a good 740 turbo sw for 5k euros
“600$ is a descent deal”
Thats a steal I can’t even find a beater car for that price even if its fkt up 😂
barely see these old volvos anymore here in sweden
In Finland we have same problem.. 😣
I have 245 b200f,M47 👌daily driven.
My frend have lot of old Volvo's.
Amazon,PV,242,244,245,750,760,940,960 😁
Im just glad I am on the other side of the continent at this point so I dont have to worry about Koltan vacuuming up all the cheap 740s.
I have a 1988 740 gl with b200e and M47. I bought it for 600€ and it has 294 000 km on it.
hoggin up all the damn volvos. great finds, man
I got a 1994 940 Turbo wagon in 601 Red flawless inside and out for $800 This year. Almost felt wrong but it went to a better home!
Can you get the "got redblock?" stuff back in stock? Those were cool. Especially the hat if you can get the stitching right.
this dude is directly responsible for volvo inflation
I like the Edna style vids for the utter sendit content,Mr lifts style 100%. ,that video in the old logging yard was elite, drifting the older rigs that are clapped, testing bumper strength via sideways contact lol. Recently bought my first 740 in New Zealand, very underwhelming lol
In Finland those old Volvo's have all ways over 350 000km.. My 240 have 560 000km and still going 😎 b200f,M47
I have a 1988 740 gl with b200e and M47. I bought it for 600€ and it has 294 000 km on it.
@@TolonenEetu that was good deal 👍💪 about 10 years ago that was normal price 😅
@@jouniporolampi5447 Yep. I Bought the car last summer.
Dam i wish was over there you got allso the us spec front lights i love them 😊
Waiting on my stuff from yoshifab to show up so I can go boosted. Thanks for all the Volvo Gravy in the meantime.
Great content.. please keep the good work.
its sad in Finland theres only like +35 740s for sale 😥
First dibs for some volvo gravy? Dont mind if I do!
I'm in the fraser valley, let me know when you're selling volvos i've always wanted to build one!!
I’m keen on a set of the quad headlights. How can I get in touch with you to discuss? Thanks.
in Sweden, the 740 in that condition is quite rare.
gotta pay 750 for the headlights alone
I’m So lucky to own a 740 turbo I believe there is only 3 in my whole state they are so rare and hard to find won’t ever see one under 5k that’s for sure
in norway thay are very expensive :(
You should get that 740T running and make it it a drift machine
Yes! Lifted 4x4 volvo!
600$ for an -89 740? What a bargain, in sweden they cost from 1000-1400$ even if they are ready to scrap as long as they passed inspection!
Leave some Volvos for the rest of us 👀
Would you consider selling the double bricks and shipping to the uk ?
I could get 320ci or 325ci or 330i for 500€ in germany if i aint picky...
Sell the chrome and the volvo fender emblems to some sweden dude, you can atleast get 120 dollars i think
at this point, it's became an obsession 😶
It became an obsession 80 volvos ago, now he's heavily addicted
Do they salt the roads there?¿
do you have any scrappy headlights to sell?
ayooo im intrested in those headlights if u are selling :)
How do you know what rearend it is?
Do you have any of the Turbo half leather/half fabric front seat skins?
time to build a custom frame like @tentshedTrev ;-)
740's are better cars in every way than a brand new Japanese car, even at over 30 years of age, why do you want to break them all? At least a good percentage should be garaged and restored.
i’m going to look at a 1984 volvo 240 w a 5 speed, is there anything that i should look for?
Rust
This is for really any car, but run it for 5-10 minutes and check under to make sure there aren't any leaks, listen to the engine with hood open for sound of any rod knock or lifter tick, and test drive it if you can.
On the drive feel for clutch and shift smoothness, and make sure the brakes are in decent condition, but if just the pads are a little worn it wouldn't be a dealbreaker since they're super easy. Check for excessive wobbliness on turns and just overall suspension quality.
Oh, and check under for rust. That's a huge one if you're up north.
^what they said also Check for blowby. With the car warm and idling see if its puffin smoke out the dipstick tube or if it pops the oil filler cap off when you unscrew it but leave it resting in place
Rusty floors is the #1 thing. Crusty electrical is #2.
Pretty much everything else is bulletproof
Look calburator oil if orginal carb.
You willing to sell a pair of hydras? Roached a couple last summer.
Yes
@@driftsnlifts how should I contact you bud?
@@driftsnlifts Quad headlights available to send to Australia?
Decent deal? Over here in North Europe they're rare as fuck and about 4k minimum
Keep grinding mr drift
and in Sweden it would have cost more than 30k
have you ever had a 97-98 940 classic/turbo
We didnt get redblock powered 940s after 1995. The only rwd volvo past 1995 was 960/s90 in north america
@@driftsnlifts isnt it sad :( will be excited to import a late model 940 car !
Hello guys where i come from rwd volvos for cheap are getting rare... im thinking about buying a 1988 740 2.3 turbo for 10k
Its 100.000 miles and clean as fuck...
Is it worth it or should i not..
get it man
@@FlyAgaric525 maybe...
@@nielsei I own a 2007 S60 2.5T right now, but I envy them older ones
❤️
And I can’t find a single 740 saloon in the uk 🥲 when one eventually pops up it’s 5x the price of these god damn it
i want your hat
I'd buy it for 600.
If I buy one for 500 dollar here in sweden i would be happy 😅
det är lätt du vet bara inte hur man prutar!😅
@@lazycatplays6701 ska vara skick på bilarna å 😅
Get a 240 there still cheap and from my experience they never let me down
he prefers the 740's as he has said before, also the 240's are often more expensive than 740's as they are getting into the classic car age nowadays
@@Stale_Mahoney I call bs bc half the time you can't even find a 740 and if you do there like 5k with 240k miles. I find 240s everywhere and I'm from the pnw were everyone in Seattle has a 240. Even here in kansas I find them and there under 1k
@@boobbutthole9537 well here in scandinavia it's a bit different. 240's in decent shape goes for no less than 4K and in good shape we are talking some 6-10k range
@@Stale_Mahoney lol to bad no one wants them out here in the US I'll keep buying them they check all the boxes for me. I had a 93 classic limited edition 240 one of the last 1600 ever sold in the US number 1562 out of 1600
@@boobbutthole9537 so what you are saying i got to start importing 240's from the states back to their home region xD
here they get used for classic rallies and all sort of stuff so we dont have as many as we used to 10-20 years ago xD
Enjoy that life ur living brother its a fuckin awesome one!!
In sweden these where 500 dollar for a nice one
And 50-100 for a bad to ok one
I bought one for 100 bucks inspeckted and ready to drive 4 years ago "1990 740"
Not anymore i bet
