@@TooFlyNico Yea, but sadly fast forward 3 years on and this car will be no longer. I have dozens of 740's here in Australia, only ever wrecked three that were non repairable.
Don't get me wrong, I like the gist of the channel, but I would prefer that the "beaters" are repaired and repaired again and again and that the few good cars are kept good for posterity.
@@jellybean1976928 I really think he is heading in to having a clean drift car he got the intercooler piping matched put new tail lights in it decked out the hatch he has the driving skill to keep a car clean and drift it I hope this one stays around as I have a 1993 wagon same color it grew on me for sure
You're channel is the reason I just bought a cheap 760 turbo wagon, slowly turning it into a drift missle, I'd forsure support the knuckle kit if you made em
I really like the colour of this wagon! but i would recomend moving your battery to a safer location given your history with wall taps. Maybe build a battery box where the spare tire goes? Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to seeing the first drive.

I've said this before but i will say it again, if you ever find a D24 Volvo there with a reasonable price, definitely buy one, i'd like to see content about it
Thats a realy sweet brick, love how raw and gutted it is. All i would think of is putting a cage in it and maybe like a racing, light heater core? Anyway can't wait to see this thing tear the roads.
Yeah not having at least a blower fan or defroster would drive me nuts
also dropping a 2.5L crank in that would be rad, less boost for the same power, or the same boost for MORE POWDER ;)
Or a more modern turbo will provide more power for less boost

@@Low760 true but it's still a cost to buy, and even then, the same gtx35 would meke the same power on lower boost if it was mounted to a 2.5 rather than a 2.3
Milkman here- love the blue wagon, looks clean. Update on my volvo, its in the shop because I don't have the time to dink around with seemingly vanishing water pump threads. Should have it in February. More intresting news is that i know someone want a volvo and one willing to sell two junked ones for 950. Thinking that I fix one up to legal standards and sell it for 2250. With my est. Costs, i should be only paying 150 for tge second body

I looked for such an alu hood for quite some time for using on a 740 rally car. Never found one. This was sometime in 2007-2010.
I also used to look out for 4,10:1 rear axel. I found them on 740GLE 16v B234F automatics. Also rare.

Just careful daily driving that beauty, if someone t-bones u you will cry afterwards...if you're still alive. I specifically drive these tanks because of their cross- bar reinforcements. might get less good gas usage, but I know its solid & safe. I also have two extra batterys in my spare wheel comp. kinda like yours but for an insane sound system, I recommend wrapping it up and sitting on some packing foam so it doesn't bang around back there. Another swede build my friend.
Yea this thing will be reserved for nice days only ! Im gonna make a battery hold down of some sort before having any fun
Oh man…. I had a NA engine and the gearing was sooooo tall. Had to keep that thing spun up… ride 3rd gear out hard..
Wow.. took out MOST of the dash. I had that same blue interior. I loved it.

I've recently picked up an 89 740 gl wagon unfortunately with the Regina get up, I want to t and run a stand alone but I've had no luck finding a detailed go through of doing it. All I get is "swap the motor and ECU and to lh2.4" do you have a walkthrough of this build, specifically with the ECU part 😂

14:42 not sure it's allot of weight but i believe you can remove the steel reinforcement bar going thru the back door there, dont seem like you gonna be running with passengers in the back

I was going to comment the same thing as Ståhle. And when you have a rollcage you can remove the reinforcements from the front doors also. I think you would also save a few pounds and gain a few hp by changing the visco fan to an electric fan. Volvo 850 and 940 with ac have nice electric fans.

The intake from b230E kjetronic. is smoother flow for Every Chanel. The F intake works for 400whp but its not optimal.. The AFR gets a bit Lean in the 2-3 cyl. but i guess you dont have much of that engine spareparts in Canada?
Aluminum hood also came on my 1990 760 turbo redblock American market car originally sold at queens volvo NY. I believe the early 960s also got the aluminum hood.
Ah yes the 1990+ 760 and 960s had alum hoods. Those are quite common. But this 80s style alum hood is very difficult to find

Nope the v90 trunk hatches are still identical to all 7/9 series wagons so it just fit right on

On my 1989 Volvo 740 GLE wagon it’s a b234f 16v full mint black leather interior and really wanna keep factory front seats but I’m 6’3” and the seat is manual and not low or back far enough so anyone know…?

What's the offset set up on the wheels+spacers? Did you push the fenders out as well?
15x7 0 offset wheels with 32mm adapter spacers. Fenders are very slightly rolled

@@bitchinflexin well diesel ones are pretty cheap since no body wants them and they tends to be high mileage none under 300 000 km.
Petrol ones are expensive in general around 3000 3500 € for a b200 b230 in good condition

Id advise you to not have the catch can dumb back into the block. Catch cans collect so much condensation. I live in a dry area and noticed it still collects a good amount every few times i drive it. You dont want all that going into your engine
