Oklahoma is about as flat as Florida. I enjoy seeing different areas of the country. Thank you for taking us along. The birch beer at 11:07 is worth trying we got a 12 pack when we were in Sarasota Fl. 100 degrees here today! We are looking forward to a little cooler weather in Lancaster. Happy Memorial Day to you and the family. God Bless and safe travels.😊

It is nice to see different Amish communities. I am going to Lancaster this summer, but I am also going to Seista Key with friends. We are planning on going to Pine Craft and Sarasota for the day.

Hi! Your video caught my eye because I live close by. There's a lot of Amish in the Mazie & Inola area too. A lot of them get around on tractors and pull their family in a wagon behind the tractor. Other's still use horses and buggies. Some of the ladies will hire someone to drive them to Wal-Mart or wherever they're going. To me, the Amish is just kind of shy or afraid to mix with other people but the ones I've known or talked to are very sweet & kind people. X's &

Wow! Thank you for this comment! So interesting 😊. I really appreciate your information. I definitely had a hard time spotting Amish homes and properties - I’m usually pretty good at it in Lancaster but it’s a little more obvious:) I did read online that there is a buggy festival in Chouteau … have you been to that?
Do they get out and about more on Sundays as far as driving / riding in buggies for church and visiting day? I would love to learn more and talk to an Oklahoma Amish woman sometime but not sure how that would happen :)
Thanks again for all that great info 😊👍😉

@@ElleLiving , you're so very welcome! No. I never went to a Buggie Day. I also never associated the Amish being out in their buggies on a certain day of the week, I'm sure Sunday is one of those days though. I actually grew up in Chouteau for about six years and had a good friend that was Amish but after we moved I lost track of her but I heard she married a guy in PA. My grown son use to live off of the old 412 hwy. We would often times see them out in their buggies or on tractors then. There are also several Amish families that live on that road. Right off of the new hwy. 412 you'll also see a sign that says Nettie Ann's Bakery. She's an Amish lady.

I haven’t been to Oklahoma ever, but I have visited the small Amish community in St. Ignatius, Montana! It’s about 2 hours from my house. They have a store and in July they do an auction. It’s fun!

Oh my! That sounds soooo fun! U convinced me that I need to visit St Ignatius! Maybe next summer?! I would love to visit all of them in the USA - at least in the ones that have a public store or restaurant 👍😊. Thanks for telling me!!
