Kalmace, I have clients like that too bro you’re not alone. I push new ideas onto my clients all the time even if the always say no. For Q I sold him on the idea by letting him know that it would take away from the light spot on top. You already know he quickly said yes to that lol. It was just a way to solve a problem for him while also getting the look that best suited him.

Beard was on point both ways, but I think the lower line near the lip looked a tad better. I’m not a fan of the Harden/Ross “super” high line

Real talk. What we like better should not ever be mentioned in customer satisfaction. When a customer likes something better, they have more confidence. We are here to serve, never to satisfy ego. NEVER EVER GET SALTY IF A PERSON IS NOT SATISFIED. Just gladly do better.

Hey fonzz, I'm not a barber but the cut was one of those, "yo ya hice mi parte, pero si tú no ligas nada, it's on you bro" cut.
Couldn't help but cracked up when about the 7:47 mark you asked if your client could tell that you've gotten the results all of you wanted after the "do rag and helmet dryer" thing. Personally I really loved the high line up on the beard but low or high my nigga 🔥 at least the choice was there and on top of that you accommodated the client. So shout out to you for doing your thing and making sure you give (as always) your client that grade A1 work.

Hey Fonz you should do a side by side of before and after at the end of the videos to emphasize the change lol. Also I agree, the higher was better, but those lower ones where the beard its thicker last a little longer (easier to touch up on your own imo)

@yofonzz, at first I could not get into your videos at first because I felt you spoke too much. But now… I understand. I’m now abarber and I’m rewatching your videos and I actually appreciate what you’re doing. A lot of RUclips barbers would not share these types of episodes and what that does is make upcoming barbers like myself think doing haircuts and dealing with customer is easy. Let me be one to say, it sure is not! You did a great job with his beard at first but he did not like it. It’s his choice and we can not fault him for that. As barbers we try to put our customers interest first hand. However, like you said in the other video, “it does not matter what you want the customers are the ones that pays the bills."

Personally had barbers speak about my brother being picky and he’s discouraged of going to a barber. He is balding and has a high widow peak but after studying and watching a lot of vids hopefully one day I’ll be good enough to cut my brothers hair. All the while I don’t intend to be a barber but I want to learn because I like how I feel after a cut..when the barber actually takes his time with me, though I’m not losing hair or anything. I know when a barber cares for the client or not. Hell, I don’t even go get cut from the barbers who talked smack.
Can’t give bullspit cuts while expecting good money from my pocket lol.
I think you should do, if not already done (newly subscribed) a video cutting homeless folks and bringing them back to life👍🏼

I try to consider how to make the client's preferred style last the longest. I believe Fonz was thinking along this line by balding the top of the side burns and thinning out longer hair at the top of the beard line (cheeks). Likewise, the higher beard line would have allowed the shorter hair around the cheeks to grow back out more subtly over time giving the style greater longevity prior to needing another hair cut. Fire cut, even better counsel!!!
*Shape of the bottom length of the beard was superb* Thats a 'business beard' --they can't say nothin when its that shaped.
I did like the higher beard line, but I usually always like the highest clean line based on how it grows. Lower line showed some rough skin, if I was him I'd have left it covered up.
