I never watched this show when I was a kid, but as a 14 year old I'm becoming interested in it. At first I was just here to see the original cup song beat, but now I'm here to actually watch the show and I like it, gosh I'm becoming a kid... But I like Zoom now.
You know I’m not going to lie when I say that I loved watching zoom as a kid. It just was a really awesome show. And it really makes me feel good inside to see them have fun
Keiko, yeah. It really does sound like it too XD I wonder what she really said, 'cause even if the censors missed it I think the other kids would have reacted.
I used to be an after school teacher. Being a 70s kid, I really loved the new Zoom. I taped this episode and watched it over and over until I finally learned how to do this. Then I was ready to show my class. They loved it! We used to have team tournaments. I think our record was 67 time w/o missing a beat! It was great!
Pitch Perfect got the cup song from Lulu and the Lampshades. Lulu and the Lampshades took the cup game and the 1930's song You're gonna miss me and combined the two together. This only got popular again because of Pitch Perfect.
The Cup Game is one of my favorite childhood games and I loved (still do) Zoom! It was so weird to see it blow up and everyone doing it because of Pitch Perfect. Not a lot of people knew it and it felt special..like some sort of secret handshake for 90's and 2000's kids. But it was cool how Lulu and the Lampshade incorporated it with "You're Gonna Miss Me".
this isn't even where the cup game started. the cup game is ages old but this is how I learned it. me and my sister used to kill this game and my winterguard almost got kicked out of a restaurant for playing it at the table.
She does say shit, it's one of those "Hey look at that guys hat it says the F word! Then in the next scene the hat is a totally different one. On a kids show"
I used to be an after school care provider, and I video taped this ep and watched it a million times so that I could teach my class the cup game. We used to have tournaments and I think the highest we got w/o stopping was 73 times. BTW...when it's down to 2 players, you really don't need to cross your arm over to pass it, just put your arm straight forward to pass it to the player across from you.
you know whats sad? i remember this exact episode. i remember being in 1st grade when it came on. and i also remember asking my mom for a cup and then sitting on the porch at our apartment and trying to figure out how to do it...ahh good times...good times..
I did too. Circa 2005 I found on Facebook and sent him a friend request...and he accepted! 😂 (Didn’t talk to him though - that was in the days before News Feed or Messenger.) Was sad to read when he passed away.
Wish it were true. But, actually, the earliest time this was done, was by a Christian artist Rich Mullins. Him and his band would do this during an acappella (however the heck you spell it) song.
FINALLY i was trying to remember where i heard this game before the song came out cause i was sure i knew it before the song, it was in the back of my mind with the other forgotten 90s shows
I'll try, but considering school and everything (we're not off of scool YET you know), I may have to try over break which starts on the 18th. So it may be a little late.
It's actually older than Zoom. It was sent in by one of the viewers like everything else (even Ubbi Dubbi). But Zoom is definitely what made it a popular game.
Zoe: "Sorry, I messed up. Can I try it again?"
Others: "Noooo."
Jared: "We all messed up. That's why you're out."
Haha I remember thinking when Pitch Perfect came out that while everyone was first learning the cup song routine, I've had it down for years!
ok
Zoe: sorry i messed up can i try it again
Everyone: NOOOO
hahaha
Making the cup game cool before pitch perfect.
It's been on a lot of shows.
YES!!
....
I wish they played this game every season. Such a classic.
aww poor jared God rest his soul. may he rest in peace...
anna kendrick hella stole this
+pejamin1 Actually she didn't. Two teens made it into a song of some sorts and since Anna knew the cup song they asked her to use it in the movie.
+pejamin1 But I do agree both the song and the game was stolen.
Edward Elric but even before them, a Christian artist named Rich Mullins pit the cup game over a song and performed it. So he did it first
Yup, i remember seeing this when i was kid
Thank you this where she got it from
I remember this show, and this episode! Me and my sisters played this game for months after this came out.
it came from Full House before it was on Zoom
god i miss this show
So do I
I never watched this show when I was a kid, but as a 14 year old I'm becoming interested in it. At first I was just here to see the original cup song beat, but now I'm here to actually watch the show and I like it, gosh I'm becoming a kid... But I like Zoom now.
This is where I first learned the cup game!!
Besides Wishbone I miss this show more than anything else!
me too. i love zoom, wishbone, Arthur, Magic school bus, and cyber chase.
@@StaticBlaster Agreed! All of those were among my favorites. 💯
What about zoobomafoo?@@TheWindingRoad1991
I love when Pablo messed up.
omg this was my favorite game to play growing up and i have Zoom to thank for that haha
I used to watch this show all the time! This was my favorite show growing up! Good time!
This would make a super fun drinking game. It would be hilarious to watch people try to do this after they've had a few adult beverages.
You know I’m not going to lie when I say that I loved watching zoom as a kid. It just was a really awesome show. And it really makes me feel good inside to see them have fun
Loved watching Zoom in the 70,s and 90s andeary2000s
I learned this as a kid too, great show
Keiko, yeah. It really does sound like it too XD I wonder what she really said, 'cause even if the censors missed it I think the other kids would have reacted.
Pablo, congrats on the first round, bro.
THANK YOU! :) As soon as I saw Pitch Perfect I was sent back to my childhood and watching zoom
clap, clap, bumblebee, clap UP down. clap, turn, touch, touch, change, pat, down :D that's how i learned it as a kid. mann, i miss this.
Anna Kendrick did this in Pitch Perfect while she was singing. It was awesome

Lynese and Pablo definately had a thing going on. I loved when they'd argue/bicker and stuff like that.
I remember playing this game at church retreat. I sucked really bad lol.
Pitch Perfect got the cup song from Lulu and the Lampshades. Lulu and the Lampshades took the cup game and the 1930's song You're gonna miss me and combined the two together. This only got popular again because of Pitch Perfect.
Season 1-5 of Zoom was better than the final 2
Teens react reminded me of this. Miss this show
LMAOOO did yall catch the girl yell "SHIT" at 3:33? ctfuu!
Wow... They really didn't care. That's must of been where I picked it up from... Fuck! Lol
Edwin Maldonado hahahahaha. I dont think they heard it xD
I don't hear anything but someone sneezing or yelling out

I love when zoe said let's go female.
Alisa, congrats on the second round.
When epically When Pablo lost the game on the second round and he was defeated.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but at 3:31, she says aaaggghhhhh shit.
WHATTTTTTTTTTTT when I was little i saw these children and thought they were such old teens!
The Cup Game is one of my favorite childhood games and I loved (still do) Zoom! It was so weird to see it blow up and everyone doing it because of Pitch Perfect. I know. I remember watching this show. I was 8 when it was canceled though.
Zoom is a classic TV show on PBS ! I used to watch Zoom in the 70s 90s and early 2000s and IM a kid at heart !
Yo! This show made my after school noons!
God, I remember when I was little and I thought when I would be older I could be on this show....then it never came back on.
The Cup Game was also in "Party With ZOOM" and in Season 7.
LOL "well both of them are female" OHGAWSH I AM DYING
I remember spending HOURS in middle school figuring this out!!
she soo did!!! i didnt even notice that at first...
Fannee Doolee likes dolls, but hates toys...why do you think that is...?
Pablo threw the freaking game! C'mon Pablo!
I knew about this waaaaay before pitch perfect
Wow, I used to watch this as a kid and yet I had no idea this is where Anna Kendrick's cups song came from
The yellow sign forgot to show up when Alisa won during the second round.
3:30 AHH SHHIIT!!!!!
This was the most anticipated match of my childhood, the way they kept building up to the live game over weeks.
Rich Mullins originated the cup beat for his song Screen Door in 1987...
The crazy part is that I had a crash on Pablo when I was younger. Oh mah ged
so sad, the guy that lost first round (IN ORANGE) died :O :'(
At 3:30 you can hear her shout "Oh shit!"
THIS IS THE COOLEST THING!!!!! EVEN NOW I AM INSPIRED TO TRY THIS GAME WITH FRIENDS!!!
@StyleSoldierBlog lmfao "we all messed up, that's why we're out!"
She does say shit, it's one of those "Hey look at that guys hat it says the F word! Then in the next scene the hat is a totally different one. On a kids show"

But adds more challenge to croos the arm over
I miss this show so much.. BRING IT BACK! The future must know of this show!!!
i remember this omg..i have like eveyr one of their episodes in a box of vhs tapes..lol
you know whats sad? i remember this exact episode. i remember being in 1st grade when it came on. and i also remember asking my mom for a cup and then sitting on the porch at our apartment and trying to figure out how to do it...ahh good times...good times..
I was in second grade!
The first part of this clip makes me think Zoe and Jared had something going.
I loved this but David is always the first one out. HA!
I had the biggest crush on Jared.... like ever.
Me too. Heard he passed away :(
Actually, this isn't the origin of the cup game. It was created prior to this and a viewer sent them mail requesting that they play it on the show.
FINALLY i was trying to remember where i heard this game before the song came out cause i was sure i knew it before the song, it was in the back of my mind with the other forgotten 90s shows
My childhood brought me here.
congradulations KrisTheKnight! You were on Teens react! What's next?!
I hav tried so hard to learn this. I gave up after 2 years of practice
Ha ha. Keiko swore. XD "Ahh! Shit!"
EXACTLY BEFORE THE CUP SONG CAME OUT IT WAS THE CUP GAME
Looks fun but also very complicated.
Wasn't there one where Alisa taught this to the viewers?
***** That is one of the fewest things I remember. The only thing I remember well were the plays.
Heyyyy I remem this show !!! :D twas awesome!
Memories!!! RIP Jared!
BLMHS all day lmao
I remember that from the video "Party With ZOOM" and from a Season 7 episode.
I've been trying to explain this show and this game to people. Thanks for uploading this so I can finally just SHOW them! :D
i love the beat they make its awesome when they go a bit faster its just that awesome
I miss this game.
It's goes this like
Clap clap bubble gum clap up down clap turn touch touch change pat down see i already to do that
I'll try, but considering school and everything (we're not off of scool YET you know), I may have to try over break which starts on the 18th. So it may be a little late.
lolll their clothes are attractive. lolll good ol 90's lolll
It's actually older than Zoom. It was sent in by one of the viewers like everything else (even Ubbi Dubbi). But Zoom is definitely what made it a popular game.
they mentiond lulu and the lampshade in the credits in pitch perfect
3:31 always happens to me lol I try to grab it and I push it off the table.
Keiko: "Oh, shit!"
I tried this with my one of cousins she had trouble keeping the beat for it though
