In today's video we install the 2020 C8 Corvette High Wing from our friends at Extreme Online Store. This video walks through removal of the rear bumper, assembly of the High Wing, and installation. We were pleasantly surprised to see how well made this wing from EXtreme Online Store is, feels as good, if not better than OEM.
Let me know what you guys think in the comments below, and huge thanks to EOS!!! If you want to order your own high wing from Extreme Online Store, click the link below, they also have other C8 parts.

GREAT SOLO JOB! You showed GREAT PATIENCE for performing this job solo! Looking forward to your next add on video. Thank You!!
Thank you, James! Definitely helps to take your time. It is recommended as a two person job, so that would've definitely made it a bit easier. Cheers!
You are a true professional! Great care for the car.
Too kind!
The high-wing improves the looks of the C8 with the long ass-end. I hope to order a 2022 C8 and want a high-wing.
Yeah I really prefer he high wing myself. I ordered mine with the high wing but due to parts availability issues Chevy cancelled all high wings for a while so I had to go aftermarket
@@DeeperImageAutomotive Did you install the wing yourself?
Looks great! Any interest in selling your carbon flash low wing? I have a non z51 I'm picking up next week.
If you're local sure. Shipping this thing would be pricey and you can pick similar options for less or about the same.
Great job! I have finished installation if V|R stat wing it was fun day!
Awesome and congrats! It isn't too bad if you take your time. Cheers!
Good job! Car looks awesome in that garage. Nice floor too.👍
Thank you! Still need more cleanup lol but yeah big improvement.
Great job! Searching for some inspiration, and got it, I will install My victor racing wing when it arrives solo.
A little patience and research and you can do it! Good luck with the install.
@@DeeperImageAutomotive thank u! I will do my best!
Great patience you showed there! Would love to see video about installation of Victor racing active wing...
Yeah it was my first install so I wanted to make sure I didn’t rush it. Victor wing sounds interesting.
Looks amazing. Hard to tell the diff btw this and the OEM!
It’s really great quality and the price is less than half of the OEM one or others out there. I’ve been really impressed with their parts and not just saying it cuz they sent it. It’s really good quality for the price.
Huge thanks to our friends at Extremely Online Store - extremeonlinestore.com/collections/corvette-c8-parts-accessories/products/corvette-c8-rear-trunk-spoiler-high-wing?variant=37773042319530 - Check them out for great quality parts and great prices for many cars, not just Corvettes
Gr8 job!!
Thanks!
WOW, I'm doing the same to my C8. Also, I have the same BD-F18 wheels LOL. My car is red mist with body color HTC.
Hah that’s awesome! Love the red mist! Great color choice my friend. Thanks for watching!
That looks awesome! I don't know if I'd have the confidence (or ability) to tackle the install but you did a great job. Did you get the panel gaps sorted?
Thank you for the comment! I will be installing an exhaust soon and that will require the rear bumper to come out again, so my plan is to adjust it a little more. I couldn't find the exact cause on initial inspection but I think I need to start screwing the bumper in from the bottom first, sort of the reverse from when I took it off, so I'll need a second person to hold it in place. I believe that will help with the gaps.
It could be the connectors not hanging proper as one could be pushing against bumper
To be real with you , i ordered my c8 with high wing as well, but c8 looks way nicer without any wing, when i say any wing i mean any wing OEM or Aftermarket
It’s all personal preference and it’s you car, do it how you like it. I personally love the high wing, but nothing wrong if others don’t. Enjoy!
Looks awesome! Have you heard about new revolutionary six instead of two layers airfoil design from Victor racing company? i have heard that in combination with Smart active system it will allow us to go up to 200 mph.
I saw something about it on a blog I believe. Looks very interesting indeed.
It’s a beauty/beast !! I’m number 12 in line my dealer said so who knows how long b4 I get my birthday/retirement car . I ordered it sept 2, 2020 for a 2021 . Hopefully by summer if they don’t keep shutting down
I know the feeling all too well my friend. I waited nearly 13 months (ughhh!!), but it was worth every painful minute. 6 months later it still puts a huge smile on my face every time I take it out for a spin. Congrats on your new C8, you're going to love every minute! Thanks for watching!
U should have done a gt wing
Bruhh you need to know how to take them lug nuts off.. I think just about every single one fell and hit the wheel. Lol
Very true lol 😂
Nice video - I just purchased the same spoiler and your video was very helpful for me in learning how to replace my Z51 spoiler. QUESTION.. What did you do to get the old wing freed up from the factory double stick tape without messing up the paint??? That's my biggest concern! BTW - no prob with the little "fans" - too cute:), Thanks, Larry
Larry - try some fishing line if you have some. Carefully slide it between the wing and body panel to cut the double sided sticky tape. I used some line and my plastic panel removal tool and it came off. If you have a heat gun heat up the area as well to soften up the sticky tape. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Yes, I heard yo mention fishing line bit did not see you use it. I have a heat gun and fishing line so now just need to get a couple of the plastic panel tools. Thanks very much for answering my question. You C8 look awesome with that wing - Extreme make a really good replica... no one could ever tell it wasn't factory! Larry

Looks great, nice job. Love the garage But all the clutter would drive me nuts.
Yeah I’m waiting on a few more pieces that have been on back order to finish it. I’ll do a garage video once they arrive. I also have some prints the wife got me.
I like the Super Car look of the High Wing, but I also like the muscle look of the Z51 spoiler. I have the same rapid blue with the carbon flash accents and am keeping the z51 spoiler after watching this. I was leaning toward high wing, but not after aggregating the cost and the effort.
Both look great! It’s just a matter of personal preference. This was a freebie so easier to decide lol.
How long did it take to take the bumper off?
It’s not hard. Most of the time is spent taking off the wheels, inner fender liners, and there is one nut on the passenger side that is sandwiched between a computer, so you have to work with really tight spaces.
@@DeeperImageAutomotive I saw that, passenger side seems like it will take patience, thanks for the info, nice ride, I have a rapid blue as well, I went with the low profile spoiler instead of the high wing, im hoping to get this done next weekend.
Man great video but damm that’s a lot of work 4 high wing I don’t feel comfortable doing this but I want the wing I guess I will be paying the dealer ship I guess 👍🏻
It’s not hard but just tedious work. Just takes time. Get a corvette buddy to come help and it’s much easier with two people.
@@DeeperImageAutomotive yes sir ordered the wing and front splitter today save money with this company can’t wait what exhaust did u go with ? Can’t wait 4 that video I will be doing high wing and exhaust together since back bumper has to come off
He definitely took out more screws than some of the videos I have seen on RUclips
This came with 2 types of screws and you don't show which ones go where. I know the black screw goes on the winglets but what about the other 2 silver bolts?
Apologies I wished I remembered but it’s been a while. My had the Z51 wing already so I reused a lot of the screws already there.
Brian, did you ever figure out which bolts are used for what? I also received high wing and the black bolts are obvious but there a 3 other bolt types in the package. Contacted EOS and they don't provide installation instructions nor do they tell you what bolts to use to assemble the wing nor attach to the fascia??? Let me know what you ended up doing... I can send you pictures of the bolts I received. Thanks!
So there are two different kinds of bolts, which ones do I use to connect the posts to the spoiler? The ones with the washer or the plain silver ones? I'm sure one connects the post to the spoiler and the others connect the spoiler to the bumper.
Eric I only used their hardware to connect the posts to the spoiler because I was able to re-use my OEM bolts from the Z51 wing to connect the posts/wing to the car. Hope that helps.
@@DeeperImageAutomotive Mine doesn't have the Z51 so I'm going to have to drill holes for mine. First I found out that my extension wasn't long enough to reach the bolts through the posts lol
Are those factory mud-flaps? Are after-market flaps better?
These are the upgraded OEM mud flaps which extended out about a half inch. The stock ones don’t offer any protection. There are many OEM and aftermarket options now.
@@DeeperImageAutomotive Can you give Mfr, and Part# for mud flaps? I see that OEM are $250, waste! I changed the flaps on my 2017 Grand Sport. I hope to order a 2022 C8.
Is a 1.5 ton Jack okay? Or should I got 2 or 3?
The C8 is between 3,600 pounds and 3,900 depending on options and if you have a coupe vs hard top convertible (HTC). A 1.5 ton jack is only rated up to 3,000 pounds. I would probably get a bigger jack to be safe. However, if you're just raising one side at a time and putting a jack stand under you should be okay. Either way be very careful and never be under the car with that jack.
@@DeeperImageAutomotive what size did you go with? Did you go with a low profile or ultra low profile Jack? Thanks!
How’s the quality of this wing? I want to get the high wing on my C8 when it arrives end of this month and I was looking at the EOS high wing.
Honestly it is pretty good if you don’t mind assembling it and installing it. I personally wouldn’t spend 3x the cost of the OEM one. Being next to one that had the OEM one no one could tell them apart.
@@DeeperImageAutomotive Perfect thank you!! Yeah you can’t beat the price of the EOS one and especially if you can’t tell the difference in the two side by side! It looks amazing on your car 👌🏻👌🏻
You ordered the engine cover or painted it yourself
I ordered it from @404parts on IG. Awesome quality and they have many options 404parts.com/
