I got Ammos US vehicle 3D Printed stuff to see the difference between them and my MJ miniatures u got the panzer tool clamps too but what ammonhave as 1.35 there tiny compared to the lovely mj miniatures they would suit more the 1.48 kits especially the AMMO panzer 3 and 4 tool clamps! There definitely not 1.35! The other detail set from mj I've used everything all the footmen loops set and antennas I just love!
The MJ minis 3D parts are a thing of beauty, I have several of their sets for the M4 and I think I will be replacing my old stock of resin and photo etch upgrades with their parts going forward
Hi Shane the M8 is looking absolutely fantastic so far, i thought I was already subscribed, bu no I was not, but I have subscribed now, tzke care and keep safe and well in this crazy covid world, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia.
Greetings from Ireland mate! I am keeping well over, we are holding our own in these times of pestilence, I hope you and yours are keeping well and safe down under!
Excellent viewing, looking forward to see the painting. Can I ask for you to adjust your volume up because you were very hard to hear on this video at full volume my end. Cheers Stu NZ
Hi there! Nice build but you have put rear wheels to front. Front wheels have a bit different "hub" than the rear ones. Actually you have one frontal in back right in overall view of model in the end of the video. So be careful with this when you glue them on...
I had to wire all my radio up when saw whare it was lol! I like the figures the drivers cool! I've got wheels like that on mine from DEF model's I tried doing the chains round the normal ones got 1 done but it was tedious lol
I would have wired mine up too and added the intercom wires but with the crew in place you would never seen it so opted not too. Ya I would not have had the patience to try add my own chains to my tires either
Is there a trick to get resin stowage parts to sit “flat” or form to the contours of the surface? Usually on the back of a vehicle, there’s lots of bumps and raises parts that leave big gaps between the parts
So the best way to get resin stowage blocks to sit natural to the vehicle's deck is to used putty tarps. By adding a layer or two of tarps on the deck you want to place the stowage and while the tarp is still curing and soft push the resin stowage into it. It creates a natural seat for the stowage and hides any gaps. Hope this helps
Shane I just found your channel tonight so I've had a great time watching t triple feature on the M8 build. Really looking forward now to the painting and weathering +1 Subs
Thanks mate! And welcome to the channel! Really glad your enjoying my M8 series as its probably one of the most enjoyable projects I've worked on of late! I'm hoping to have the last part of series covering the painting and weathering up soon so keep an eye out! Thanks mate :)
Looks fantastic my friend. Amazing how far we have come as modelers from the beginning. I love all the stowage that's out there these days. And REALLY think that printing out details is absolutely the game changer we needed. Especially with company's giving weak details on light guards etc the list is endless. Although with Ryefield and a few others they have addressed this quite well. But I just don't have the money anymore to pay for those kits. Did you see Tamiya is coming out with a new tooled M18 hellcat? I WANT IT.!!!!!! ;)
100% mate! Its been amazing to see the community grow and evolve over the last few years, it really amazes me to see that we are in the golden age of modelling! 3D printing is a game changer in many respects and seems to going from strength to strength! I am looking forward to seeing what new kits and upgrades that are coming out of the upcoming 3D shops popping up. I am so excited for the new M18 kit its gonna be a little gem no doubt, no if they do a new M8 HMC I will be a happy boy lol
It's such a pleasure watching your work, Shane.....you always have a tip or two to share and it's appreciated for sure. Great job all round on this episode....great idea of the tarp covering mistakes....one for the vault for future builds. Thanks for taking time to share with us.
Thanks mate! The stowage really adds so much character to this already sexy vehicle, still have to paint up the other two crewmen too, I can't wait to see how it all looks when its done
Great build as always my friend! Your stream finished just as I had to get going on my load this afternoon. Came back to watch once more. I love the M8 and have one to build myself, finitely inspired!
Thank you very much! Really glad you enjoyed it! I can't wait to get it painted and weathered up as its shaping up to be one of favorite builds I've done yet
Looking good Shane. That's still a decent model considering it's age.
its a little gem of a kit! I think it might be one of Tamiya's best
@@longlance67 Agreed!

I like the 1/35 scale the best. The 1/75 is just too small for me.
Same! 1/72 is far too small for me too
that is mint man, i have a captured one that is knocked out on the go some place :D
haha cheers mate
How are you going to paint the Hull without painting over the figure?
I am gonna mask it with silly putty, the hard part to mask will be the turret without breaking anything
Can’t wait to see it complete i have an M-20 with a similar figure!
Well done. Nice video.
Glad you liked it!
Great work - thanks
Glad you liked it!
Great job Shane

Nice work Shane, can't wait to see this kit painted.
cheers mate! I hope to get this paint up soon!
Awesome mate🔥🔥🔥 m8 is definitely one of the most sexiest vehicles ever made.
Totally agree its one of the nicest vehicles the US had in the war! I am considering creating General Patton's personal command M20
@@longlance67 nice choice! I recall several manufacturers did make the general himself at 1/35 scale. The legend's one is my favorite!
Great job once again Shane
thanks my friend!
Great work! I love the quality and attention to detail. Top notch!!
Thank you very much! Really glad you enjoyed it! I can't wait to get it painted and weathered up as its shaping up to be one of favorite builds I've done yet
