Hello: The EOS R7 will have more advanced AF features than the EOS R. Our sales team is happy to compare features of the different models. You can reach them at 1-800-652-2666, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. We hope this information is useful.
Hi! Canon mirrorless cameras like the EOS R series are mechanically different from their DSLR predecessors, so we decided to design a new lens mount from scratch and we took advantage of the opportunity to make the new lens mount more sophisticated. This means that some RF-series lenses can do a lot more cool stuff than their EF-series counterparts. We think you'll love our new generation of lenses!
Hello: There are many variables that would affect the answer to your question; such as whether you are recording JPEG, HEIF, RAW and the selected image size. Camera settings and type of card used affect the maximum burst for continuous shooting. The shooting environment and use of camera accessories affect battery performance. Our camera support agents have more information and can provide more details. You can reach them at 1-800-652-2666 Monday-Friday: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm ET, Saturday: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm ET, excluding holidays. We hope this helps.

You probably didn't realise that all the EF glass will fit. That glass is pretty good, that why most sport photographers use it...............................
Hi, LaShundra! With a maximum ISO equivalent to 51200, the new EOS R7 is ready just about any amount of light, no matter how much or how little there is. Hope this helps!
Hello #Canon, I am pleading on behalf of every other persons using Canon APSC sensor cameras, it is high time you start producing affordable APSC Ultra Wide angle lenses. Not everyone can simply afford the expensive ones you already have in the market, most especially upcoming photographer's and videographer's who are struggling to meet up with standards image/video quality. I hope this will be taken into considerations. Thanks!
So is it weather sealed? Pointless having a wildlife camera that isn't as weather sealed as the old 7d mk2 is it? How many second of shooting RAW at 30 frames per second before you hit the buffer? Sadly, this does not appear to be a good replacement for my 7d mk2
The new EOS R7 is resistant to dust and moisture, and RAW burst mode can capture up to 41 or 42 images at 30 frames per second depending on the type of memory card you're using. Hope this information helps!
Hi, Thomas! A maximum ISO of 51200 lets your EOS R7 handle low-light situations with ease, and the camera can use all RF and RF-S lenses without the need for an adapter. Hope this helps!
Cancelled my pre-order, why? Unlike the 7d MKII the R7 has no battery grip option available. Secondly the Low buffer size & slow recovery time, for birds in flight that’s a deal breaker. They put slow SD cards in a 15-30fps camera. They suggest you use the slower mechanical shutter, why have electronic shutter if they don’t suggest that you use it. They rearranged the button placement, for back button focus it’s not ideal. The 7d had a pro style body that is fully weather sealed. This is not a 7d replacement as its name suggests. This was a missed opportunity.
What's the difference between mechanical shutter and eshutter? And are you saying it can't work on sdxc cards? How long will it take to store 30 frames? Can it shoot burst at 100 frames at a time? How long will the battery last in this mode?
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 I strongly believe that the R7 is not a flagship apsc r camera. It's not a fully weather sealed body. It dosen't have the 3 pin remote connector It dosen't have gps It dosen't have 3 dial wheels. It dosen't have a full size or a mini hdmi It dosen't have wifi 6 support or an inbuilt wifi transmitter. Dosen't have a top info display screen like the R5 It dosen't have an Ethernet port / it dosen't support the WFT battery grip even though it's the same battery. And it dosen't have a CF express card. No flash sinc port And it dosen't have high res view finder and a high res back screen even though Canon already dose it for the R5. This is a 90d successor and not a 7d mark 2 successor. I think canon will put it all these features in an other camera and call it a R9 and that it will come with a 2000$ price tag .
You started well with the lack of proper weather sealing and then you literally fell off a cliff. Virtually no one who photographs wildlife cares about wifi, ethernet, hdmi, or a high resolution screen. These things do not effect taking your photos. What we want is a weather sealed body and a fast frame rate that does not buffer in under 1 second. I have a horrible feeing that I have been waiting for the 7d mk2 successor and this dog of a camera has turned up.

The R6 IPB, 90D IPB, all M-Series IPB and mostly all of them MP4 format while MP4 is a finishing format not an editing format as most of us like to do some tweaking etc... AND NOW EVEN THE APSC TOP OF THE LINE R7 STILL IPB FORMAT, MAN WHAT NO SNESE IS THIS??? Sony is doing great in terms of video AND EVEN NIKON NOW IS DOING SO GOOD FOR VIDEO!!!

Been a Canon shooter for the longest time until I got introduced to the rangefinder type Lumix system w/c was perfect for me since I hated having my nose touch the monitor and always having to wipe it. IMO, the Lumix GX8 w/ its articulating monitor and adjustable viewfinder is the best designed camera ergonomics-wise. (Despite what Chris Niccolls says about the adjusting viewfinder, it is one of the things that sets the GX8 apart from other cameras and I think every new rangefinder camera should have it.) Having experienced the advantages of the rangefinder type, I bought a Sony a7C for its body type, its having an articulating monitor, its being FF, and its having the ability to interchange E-mount lenses between FF & APS-C cameras. I also ended up getting a Sony APS-C camera as a 2nd body. Until and unless Canon produces a rangefinder type R-system camera, I'm going to stick w/ Sony for now.
