@oddmodd,@vanitysmirror, The person that knew Prince the best was Kirky J. (Kirk Johnson) He was his best friend, and right-hand man. He's a drummer credited for 11 of Prince's albums. Was president of his charities, estate manager of Paisley Park, and best man in his wedding to Mayte. But the 3 names you both picked were also close to him. I would add Bobby Z. to that list also. +++Peace,Prince, & Rock n' Roll !+++

I remember meeting Morris Hayes in 96 in North Carolina I had my husband and 2 boys at the concert.

Since Prince recorded everything ...there’s a possibility that Quest saw that their session was recorded & got the tape from Prince. Maybe? Quest could have it in his DJ booth somewhere. Would be great to hear.
D'Angelo idolize Prince and was his favorite artist and musician. So you know D killed it. He was living a childhood dream being able to play and jam with his idol Prince.I would have loved to have been their for that jam session. Prince,Morris,D'Angelo and Questlove WOW!!!!

Saw NPG Live stream last night at First Ave (9/13/18) and Morris was there said a few words...and Mayte/Levi/Tommy/Tony and Mack who is a great new addition ...it was beautiful homeage to The Purple One...very emotional - felt the LOVE

Its New Year's day I have a stinking cold and have spent this afternoon listening to Morris Hayes and I have to say they have been the most interesting and enjoyable interviews. It has given people like myself a little insight into the world of Prince and what musicians around him learned and also how they contributed to the music. Thank you so much for this interview.

6:39 I had a Oberhiem Matrix 6.... Oberhiem are very sensitive keyboards. You can't move them around alot because of the crystals. They are meant to be kept in the studio. Maybe the newer version weren't so sensitive.

LIKE MORRISE HAYES RESPONSES ABOUT PRINCE and on other issues of concerns...he has been relative on...Very earthly...sincere...taking the low seat...He doesn't take credit, brags or reserve for himself...He'll get credit with such a type of mannerism that will lift him up...Can tell he has had good stabilized home training...That goes far...Especially the way he impersonates Prince in a humorous twisty way...without grudging-regret tones in his expressive mode...He is the type to be around and confidant...Hayes has proven, through a lot of Podcast, one-on-one interviews...in attendance with others...60 Minutes...his consistency...His version of Prince...and today's issues in the world...having had listen to him previously on some shows...Glad to have stumbled across this one...Historically a legend himself...Being counted a FRIEND who has had close encounters...Rave Reviews...US/NC c/c
I appreciate this assessment Marian. Accuracy is important to me as Prince is a musical legend and many love him and what he did. I think we that worked with and around him owe it to the fans and the world to represent him and his artistry as accurately and as best as we can for history's sake.
