Tbh, the fact that an important fashionbrand is asking luke to do a video on their history and giving him an outfit, is everything. Finally he starts to get the credits he deserves!!!
Will you finish your series on the history of Dior? We need the tea on Maria Grazia 😂 Ps. My sister's name is Maria Grazia and everytime I call her in my head it sounds with your accent. Imagine your power Edit: I just finished the video, and I wanted to thank you for the research and passion that you put into it. They really show.
You’re the only one on this platform I’d actually watch a 24 minute long about fashion heritage, you really know your way about making interesting content and educational one without making it boring or patronizing! Congrats on the collaboration and yes, you looked beautiful in that look!
RUclipsrs are lowkey one of the unsung heroes of quarantine, I have no clue how I would keep my sanity if I didn't have all this content, esp HauteLeMode
I’m fully sold on Rochas. I love their silhouettes. From what you showed of their newer collections it seems like they walk that fine line between modern and timeless. Almost an ageless feel. And very French which I LOVE
I'm so glad they asked you to do a history of their brand, that is so cool!!!! I wish more brands would do that! To hear someone I already watch talking about the history of a brand I may only know a few things about gives it so much more importance and makes me want to invest in the brands you talk about. :)
I knew the brand as Rochas is very well regarded among perfume heads for their very inventive scents. I wear eau de Rochas all the time. Eau de cologne with frankincense and myrrh - amazing!
I'm french and was watching next to my non-english speaking grandmother who just adored your prononciation of french name, just keep saying avenue matignon, i'll listen! This is an excellent video, I wish french speakers had your skills! I was so happy to learn about Rochas.
In the 80s/90s, Rochas produced a men's cologne with a sweet vanilla base - I called it "Man Candy" though I believe its their cologne called Rochas Man. It comes in a distinctive frosted glass butt plug (I suggest you check it out). Guys, in particular, would swarm me whenever I wore it. I need to get another bottle :)
This was a great video and the fact that they reached out to you to make this video is even better. Would love to see more educational and historical fashion videos.
I really enjoyed your bit on Rochas. I find you quite entertaining...great sense of humour. I would be interested in seeing more like this. Great work!
You are without a doubt one of my top 5 favorite youtube channels. I always leave your videos feeling like I've learned something, and you are so wonderful!!
I'm happy for you Luke. I remember watching your videos when I was 15 years old and you were talking about current and historic figures in fashion(sometimes you would get some things wrong but you always embraced constructive criticism and got even better).
You are a great story-teller, without compromising on depth of knowledge. These videos must take a lot of time and effort. It's really informative and impressive, thank you.
I mean you are the only one who could could make a fashion history video entertaining yet educational. And 2 videos a day now you go girl! CONGRATULATIONS on your collaboration and you looked so gr8!
You delivered really well luke! Kind of made me emotional at the end. I love brands with a rich history, there is so much to learn and understand in the world of fashion ,it's amazing to be a part of such an industry
you need to do more fashion history videos!!! i always retain the information so easily and have fun while learning and cultivating new ideas for fashion!
I loved this!! I admittedly don’t know much about fashion or its history at all. I’m very new but very fascinated by this sort of thing! I would love to see more videos like this!
This was wonderfully presented. I've never really stopped to look at Rochas so this was fantastic. Your presentation really help with my Design History Course I'm currently taking.
I’m going to check out Rochas perfume when the mall opens. That sweater is beautiful. You look really great in it. I’m sure Rochas is very happy with the history video you did. Great job!
This was an incredibly informative and entertaining history lesson, I hope you plan to make more videos like this in the future. Either that or do Live Streams where you do history lessons and interact with us viewers. You could set it up so the history lesson has chapters so to speak so that way people can ask any questions they have inbetween the different segments. With the live streams you'd have more time to explain and go into more detail than you normally would with an uploaded and edited video. I feel like everyone would benefit from this as you wouldn't have to worry about not having time to get into a more in depth discussion and we would learn more about the incredible history behind so many iconic fashion brands.
Absolutely loved this. I've watched your Chanel, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent history videos and LOVED it. Please do more! Would also like to see you explore Italian designers (Schiaparelli, Versace, Gucci, etc). Thank you so much :)

I have one! Regarded as one of first, or the first, Gourmand scents for men. Lavender and coffee in a sea of vanilla
Is it really cologne-y or would it work as a female scent as well 👀

Rochas' Macassar is my favorite winter cologne of all time. A bit heavy for the 2020's but it kicked ass in the 1980s.
