We passed by you guys. We were the 3 Tenere Rally that said hi in the road, near your hotel. We lack the budget for the GYTR kit, but we had a lot of fun with our T7 rally in Morocco!
Great video. When you see what's involved in Rally Raid, it makes you appreciate Petrucci's versatility and skills as a rider - I mean, MotoGP victories, WSBK podiums _and_ winning a Dakar stage...that's special!
The thing that amazes me most in rally raids is the navigation. It's one thing to go fast, another to clear obstacles, but reading, interpreting and memorizing the roadbook at the same time? Amazing! Thanks Chris.
Freedom of open terrain and limits of your abilities. Great vid. Hell of a machine. Everytime I ride my standard T 7 I feel like I won Dakar without leaving home. Cheers
How does this video not (yet) have a half million views and thumbs-up? Stunning riding, scenery and footage. Makes me feel I’ve been riding a knee scooter.
I think this video should come with a disclaimer. Chris makes this look much easier than it is in real life for average joes. As much as I would love to be an off road god on a new T7 I know that 40+ years of tarmac riding would amount to my body being turned into a large bag of hamburger on day 1 of this crazy experience! I will just watch from the safety of my sofa. 😂
I’d take that anytime over a track day - looks like the most fun you can have with your clothes on!😃 Epic stuff, epic scenery, epic bike and one day I’m planning to do that.👍
The best thing about the rallying in the desert there’s no environmental damage to the terrain the wind puts it all back like you where never there brilliant
Woods riding scares me. I was lucky to grow up riding in Southern California's deserts and Baja! I dig the idea of this bike; I just realized I'm not indestructible and have to show up for work on Mondays.
Ahhh now this is what all those SUV bikes are for, not for a 30 mile trip with luggage to the BMW dealer cafe 🤭. You have inspired me, I am going to follow the Dakar now. Thanks for being the best bike show ever.
I have zero interest in doing this, but Chris's enthusiasm and energy plus his sheer riding skills makes me what to give it a go! Bike World have THE BEST bike journalists, reminds me a little of the old Bike magazine which had a somewhat unconventional approach to reviewing bikes. All about the fun and joy of riding rather than just a list of stats.
Thanks Chris, Huge adrenalin charging on into the unknown. Yamaha always impresses and great to see easy options for up-specking if the budget permits..
What an amazing video Chris couldn’t stop watching it. I’ve already got the world raid. It’s a fantastic bike . the video does not do it Justice keep up the great work.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Great video love Rally Raid been watching it for years and fair play to Yamaha for making a factory spec bike available, unfortunatley I could only stretch to the new Extreme and TBH thats far more bike than my off road skill set.
I love the look of the world raid but the kit transforms it into one awesome looking bike! I probably wouldn’t fit the complete kit but there are some really juicy add ins I would buy. Nice one Yamaha👍
Maybe contact Lyndon Poskitt for some more rally related content. He's a solid rider as well as very capable mechanic as well. He knows his stuff and is a very likeable guy.
Was it me or was there no explanation of what the kit consists of? Or if you can cherry pick from the list of parts that make up the kit! With the ageing dynamic of motorcycling, not quite sure for whom this kit is meant?
What Id like is a rally replica wr450 designed to be more of a dual sport/light adv bike. With more oil capacity and detuned for long maintenance intervals. The 400cc single is still a fairly chunky corner of the market noone has truly touched since the suzuki drz400 which is a multi decade old design.
Seems really cool but I think ill stick with one cylinder for rally style riding, Im not good enough to wrestle that beast. It really just makes the Kove 450 look even more impressive
It's three modules, a power kit, a handling kit and a rally kit. They build progressively, that is you need the power kit first then the handling kit then the rally kit. Some parts are also seperately available according to the dealers in Europe. My local dealer in Germany is quoting around 4,000 for installation/ general prep. A KTM 450 factory rally bike is cheaper!
Uhhhh, Yamaha didn’t actually “give it to everyone”-in the United States, we get one model of T7 and that’s it. The World Raid version is the bike the standard T7 should be and we can’t even get one here. I can’t even order the factory high fender unless I want to order it from a European seller . It’s an insult that Yamaha doesn’t seem to have any interest in the American market 😡
Correction, yamaha didn't give it to everyone. Here in Japan, we dont get this or any tenere that's not standard. This is at the moment for Europeans only... just like half the yamaha line up
Riding Morocco dunes on tenere is quite demanding. Extreme version is even more difficult because it's 2cm taller. I have installed rally raid suspension on mine +20mm front and rear and it's much more difficult to ride. Here is the movie: ruclips.net/video/ttTuSULkLpM/видео.htmlsi=SGg9nbd2T2_eZpRg
Nice item, great bike. My best bike to go flat out thru open terrain was the BMW HP2 enduro. Insane topspeed and rock solid stable, like a train on tracks.
This video deserved at least another 60 minutes of footage 👌🏻
It did, Advertisement.😂
We passed by you guys. We were the 3 Tenere Rally that said hi in the road, near your hotel. We lack the budget for the GYTR kit, but we had a lot of fun with our T7 rally in Morocco!
Chris’s reviews are the best, keep them coming! Love the enthusiasm for any kind of riding!
Great video. When you see what's involved in Rally Raid, it makes you appreciate Petrucci's versatility and skills as a rider - I mean, MotoGP victories, WSBK podiums _and_ winning a Dakar stage...that's special!
Your enthusiasm and sheer talent are something to behold 🤩🙏

Mad skills, big grins and a true passion for two wheels - Chris is is truly an inspiration👍

Just got my 2024 T7, and i have absolutely fallen in love. it RIPS! it just wants to go go go!
Wow that looks as good as you was excited! What a great video, and bike, and Chris! What a job you’ve done giving us that. Awesome!!

Wow, you rode with Mr Dakar! Incredible!
Welcome to Morocco my friend 🇲🇦
The best thing about the rallying in the desert there’s no environmental damage to the terrain the wind puts it all back like you where never there brilliant
Happy for you Chris! And looking forward to the rally content!

Bring back the big bikes to the Dakar!
In Dakar Yamaha is nowhere for years ..... I am glad you like it and hope you'll have many more adventures to share with us...
What a fantastic video, just need to convince my wife that this bike is a needed addition to our life on top of our Caterham 420R 🍻🍻👍

Awesome bike, sure wish Yamaha would bring more than the base model to Canada, riding a desert x rally now, but would welcome this addition!
Tremendous video love the big rally bikes I've a xtz1200 world crosser at the moment and love it,keep up the great work Chris
Thanks Chris, Huge adrenalin charging on into the unknown. Yamaha always impresses and great to see easy options for up-specking if the budget permits..
Amazing ! Great work Chris / team 👍🏁
What an amazing video Chris couldn’t stop watching it. I’ve already got the world raid. It’s a fantastic bike . the video does not do it Justice keep up the great work.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
That sound!!!! What a bike! What an experience... tad jealous haha
Great video love Rally Raid been watching it for years and fair play to Yamaha for making a factory spec bike available, unfortunatley I could only stretch to the new Extreme and TBH thats far more bike than my off road skill set.
Epic video, love all that! Moving to Saudi soon, so keen to get off the beaten track… T7 is on the list!
Simply! Awesome video ! And outstanding skills! 😊
OMG that looks like fun. I’m never likely to do it so just to watch the video makes me very happy….
Very clever of Yamaha making thus available to the public like the road race TZs . Will bring people in 👍🍻🏁
Love the sound of that bike !
I love the look of the world raid but the kit transforms it into one awesome looking bike! I probably wouldn’t fit the complete kit but there are some really juicy add ins I would buy. Nice one Yamaha👍
Been looking forward to this - did not disappoint
Love your reviews, keep em coming!
OK, I want to try this now (and inevitably fall off). Amazing video!
Come to Southern California and the high rock deserts 🌵. Epic, especially during the winter months!!!
Was waiting to hear more about the bike. All I got was "this is great!" for 12 minutes.
Which was great!
Chris your videos are just awesome, keep on riding and can't wait for your review of Husqvarna Svarpilen 801😊❤❤
Maybe contact Lyndon Poskitt for some more rally related content. He's a solid rider as well as very capable mechanic as well. He knows his stuff and is a very likeable guy.
That looks amazing fun!

With the ageing dynamic of motorcycling, not quite sure for whom this kit is meant?
I think you should have got Chad out there for that launch. He would have done the bike justice 😂
Absolute quality what an experience
That fast wheelie was awesome haha
Who is riding the blue Super Tenere 750 (or 850) Marathon at 6min 46 (when the World Raid is wheelying)? Is that Peterhansel?
Hi Chris great video ..What tyres were you running please?
Almost bought a T7, but went for an Aprilia Tuareg instead.... I wonder if they'll make a rally kit?
Looks amazing, where is this or the hotel located?
How did you got the drone into marocco?
Thats awesome 👌 imagine if you could afford one of them that would be a special bike in the garage 👌
The location 10/10 !
Need to see a review of chris's kove 450 rally now.
did pol lengthen or shorten the swing arm. chris you are one reviewer that rides bikes like you should ride bikes. good fun.
So good 🙌🏾

what is the travel of the shock? seems like yamaha proudly mentions fork travel everywhere and fails to mention shock travel.
Seems really cool but I think ill stick with one cylinder for rally style riding, Im not good enough to wrestle that beast. It really just makes the Kove 450 look even more impressive
Rally is around for the near future at least. A great look
Excellent !!
Chris downplaying how frikkin mental his skills are. Most mortals weren't invited to this launch.
to addition to scrambler 1200, this will be my second bike. thats for sure.
love this Dakar style bike......by the way Stephane Peterhansel is the namegiver for my middle son......
was this part of tenere experience?
Incredible, just incredible, if I had the money I’d be all over that !
Do you know what tyres you were running?
This bike needs to come to the US
What tires were you running?
'It doesn't look like Wales, that's for sure!' 🤣
Good for you boy!!!
What a sound @4:18…!🙃
Excellent ride, inquiring minds want to know what you cheeky bastards were drinking after the ride!! LOL
👍👍
Dakar next then Chris🤔
Yes, we need more "real world" rally ambassadors. I'd love to do some rallies, but my skill level makes me pucker on a simple gravel road.
Bikes are the best
We want more More more
Dirtbike is life
Well played son 🕊
How much better is this than the lazy mcn video of the same event!
Super video and great to see someone riding it like a b*stard!!! Fantastic.
Thanks, we do like to put a bit of effort into our vids.
nice wheelies chief ..
Kit ? What is it ?
It's three modules, a power kit, a handling kit and a rally kit. They build progressively, that is you need the power kit first then the handling kit then the rally kit. Chris, now go home and prep that 950 for what was born for. I have one and I love Rally :)

Riding on the moon....
Correction, yamaha didn't give it to everyone.
Here in Japan, we dont get this or any tenere that's not standard.
This is at the moment for Europeans only... just like half the yamaha line up
25000quid and the the Honda XR650R is still better ;) ... but I bet you have a lot of fun :P
Chris is happy, video is too short and no Pol Tarres in video.
It needs to come to the USA. They will sell thousands in seconds!
$38,000 for a non-street legal, high-maintenance race bike and you think they would sell thousands?
It would be great if Yamaha would BRING THIS TO NORTH AMERICA ALREADY!!!
You won’t be able to do that on a World Raid, it’s too top heavy mate😂😂😂

My best bike to go flat out thru open terrain was the BMW HP2 enduro. Insane topspeed and rock solid stable, like a train on tracks.
I would wager rallye-raid isn't a bigger thing because we can't relate. It used to be an adventure, it's not anymore
We need some Japanese alternatives to the Kove 450, not this expensive version.
Put Tunisia on your list.
