So that's what the front of the rally looked like... Excellent effort and result Ducati and Alexander, you killed it and it was impressive to see first hand. See you next year!
So great in every way! Sutherland and Smith at the top of the field by a huge margin, Jimmy Lewis directing the event, and a fantastic race by Ducati with the DesertX in the hands of Alexander. Had flashbacks to KTM debuting the 690 in the Baja 1000 with a top level team. So cool to see Ducati do this in a solo race!
Maybe not everyone noticed but the Audio of this video deserves a capital A because it is one if the best original field audio recorded i have ever heard❤😳💪 more than once i had to check the lip sinc to know if it was dubbed in studio🫶awesome piece of work by the filmmakers🤙🤙
Excellent video. Superb production. Thanks guys. I will have to talk to @jasonchinnok to turn my Desert into that racing machine. Can I get that air filter?
Riding sand in ruts is very hard for me. These guys make it look so easy. They're like a different breed of humans or something. They let the bike kick out sideways and it doesn't even phase them.
They ride top of line equipment, much more experience riding in sand, not afraid to keep speed up, momentum is their friend. But when they crash, it a big one.
whats up with the quick change airfilter? will this come on the production bike, it should do, a massive downside of the Desert X is the difficult airfilter changes
Can you get parts in Poland to mount navigation devices to the DesertX Rally? You moved a few things and it seems to have worked well. Are these parts available in the Ducati store?
I have a horrible chain slap noise on this bike and cannot figure out how to stop… it’s like a tin can full of nuts and bolts rattling like crazy. Am I the only one? How do I fix this? Otherwise the bike is solid!
We're greatful to be a part of this amazing experience.
Looking forward to more Off Road adventures with Ducati!

Steer with the rear. Throttle through the wash, keep weight back.

Awesome
Do you still have to take it to the dealer to get the chain adjusted? Sorry, couldn't help it.
Sun rims had pins to hold tires on back in the day.
i have a 2023 honda traail 125 and i was thinking of doing the baja with it. I will also take it from virgina and get there with ALL my gear,
Is that an access port on top of the tank for air filter access?
It is a custom carbon fiber tank from Aurora with a hole for the air filter on top.
What @Rdissss said, plus you have dual air filters so no dust drops in the engine while you are swapping the top filter.

“Keep the bike as standard as possible“
Removes right-side front brake and brake caliper

My GOD you look like a young Malcolmb....

Why did he drill a hole in the rear wheel rim and put a screw in it?
Rim Rock alternative.
Nine. Thousand. Dollar. Fuel tank!
$3,250… Not that bad.

same face.. he is a Smith
How did they run desert races before you could stick all those electronics on it. Seems almost totally unnecessary.
