I have tried using a blowdryer (I don't have a heat gun) but I wasn't very successful but I know others who have. Maybe if the PUL isn't too far gone it would work for small spots.
For how much time can we use a pul product before it starts leaking ? Actually I've ordered some clothe pads which includes pul layer inside it. So I'm wondering for how much time do these pads will last? For how many months can I wash and reuse them? Kindly tell me please
No I haven't. I don't know why you would make socks waterproof. If your kiddo has sweaty feet you would want something that absorbs it so the feet won't stay wet.
@@GreenHappyMom My kid doesn't have sweaty feet but loves to play in the garden, even when it'a raining. She has a rain suit but sometimes doesn't put her rain boots on. I used to work in construction and my feet would often get wet through my work boots. I was thinking of layering some flannel or bamboo velour inside of some PUL for absorption, waterproofing and breathability.
That makes sense. I think it will be a challenge to make them completely waterproof. The seams may leak as a sewing needle make tiny holes which can let water through. You could repair this with heat but I have never been successful.
@@GreenHappyMom I also recall reading that cotton thread will wick moisture into your seams but I will be using polyester as it does not have the same effect, something to keep in mind!
Thanks a lot!🌸🌺
Another question, have you ever tried a heat gun to set the PUL layer back on the fabric?

It depends on the quality. Some of my diaper covers lasted only a year while others i have been using for 2 kids now(over 5 years)
Have you ever made socks with PUL? :) I'm thinking it would be useful for my kiddo

@@GreenHappyMom I have some heat sealing tape (WBM FX-800) is what it is called and I'm thinking this would do the trick!
