Are you running any RX580s? If so what are you mining? What is your hashrate and OC Settings?
I'm running 3 X 580s and a SFX 590 Fatboy, but really need help with overclocks. Also I'm looking at getting another SFX 590.
I am mining ETH and the settings I am posting on your discord server.
Currently running 14 RX-580s 10 are 8GB, the others are 4GB. Honestly the two XFX cards I have are some of the worst performers I own, though I admit I should probably pull them apart and add new thermal paste and pads........maybe after 1559 I will take a day or two to repaste all my cards. :)
No, but I'm using 2x RX 570 8GB in my mixed gpus mining rig. One does +30MH and the other can not pass 28.5MH or it will be unstable. Using Hive Os and mining ETH for now
The good one is using Fan: 80 (it's not loud so it's running fast just in case 61ºC) Core: 1150 VDD: 850 Memory: 2300 MDPM: 800 PowerLimit: 90 , consuming 83W
where did you get shelves that you have you rigs on
this videos are super helpful to someone brand new. I have 1 580 that I owned for a few years, and have 2 590s in the mail. My rig, motherboard and risers are all in the mail so will be up and runing by the end of the month for sure. Please keep making these videos!
Excellent video! I used your guide to dial in my two RX 580 rigs using HiveOS. They are running smooth with very good hash rates and the lowest power draw . Thank you!

@@TheHobbyistMiner Good?? I would say impeccable timing! I am getting 32.1 mh/s with 69w consumption. Pretty neat. Config for you to try: core 1250, mem 2150, vdd 895. Mine has samsung memory (the only diff with your card, as far as I saw).

Curious. How would you apply these setting if you were running directly in Ubuntu and using TRM?
The power consumption was reset to 130 W vs what you putt for ethereum, the other coins are not ROI as eth but you need to putt right power consumption

Hey I’m looking for some help, I have Hynix memory 8gb 580 xfx. My hive os keeps freezing after I modded the bios. Any reasoning or speculations?
Thank you for this! My first rig has 6 RX 580 8GB cards in it and I have been running the same overclocks with same MH but I have been burning 120 watts per card for the last 5 months. Now I am at 80 watts and running 20 degrees cooler and getting the exact same MH. Awesome!
That xfx rx580 is amazing I’m getting 31 mh at 94 watts 60c didn’t even undervolt and when I did I got it to 75 watts at 52c
Oh yeah I got lucky and got a 580 for 300 another for 280 and a 570 for 250 a few days ago
@@justinalexander4166 thats not luck these cards are really only worth $50 if it wasn't for mining I just picked up 2 480s for only 250
I nabbed 4 rx 580's and 3 rx 570's mining eth at 216 mh/s at 726 watts via hive about 950 at the wall. stable about 30.5 per gpu average.
most of my rx580 settings are 31.1 mh/s at 75-80 watts via hive, 1150, 1 , 850, 2050 @ 51c 85% fan speed and using the AMD memtweak

what is the cpu you are using? i would like to find one, i se it in the first part of the video next to the card
It seems everything is working for you but be mindful of longer cables, running a PCIe lane over USB cable is way off the spec sheet and they are using short cables for a reason.
can those XFX Cards Do Crosfire, ? Would Crossfire improve or hurt Hashrate ?

I have Gigabyte RX 570 4GB I cant increase the power it is stuck on 90W do you have any idea how to fix it?
I realize this video is a year old, but I am just now converting my RX580 rigs to HiveOS. Yes, I should have done so long ago but so comfortable in Windows since 2016 and focused elsewhere. Did you finish out the RX580 project? Maybe I didn't search properly for any follow-up content. I have 2 fairly unused XFX Limited Edition RX580s that were not sold here in the states, got them 5 years ago on a trip to Japan. 1668 mhz core, to give you an idea of how special. Each individually numbered on the backplate, cool graphics. Modded now of course, but I have the original vBIOS also confirmed by XFX Tech Support since these aren't on TechPowerUp. Just wondered if you had any slots left or you finished that foray down the RX580 path. Cheers to you! You're one of my top 5 channels, and the others you list in your favorites [RPM, Brandon, SOaT, etc], so not bad company.

Where is the REF option in radeon? I do not know how much impact this option has, it did not exceed 28.33mhs

I love the Polaris cards, always looking for deals myself. You said shipped thru Facebook marketplace? I have never got anything that hasn't been local, what happens if a card doesn't come or something is wrong? I'm not too familiar with marketplace.
Facebooks system does everything. So it provides the seller the shipping label and all. They update you when the seller prints the shipping label and USPS gets it. Also provides you all the tracking info. All automated. Once you get it, you have 2 days to review the product and approve it. Great System.
Been running about 32 of them since 2017.

Is it good without undervolitng? When I do -200mV in the afterburner I have a black screen. Im not using hive..

I have 2 saphire nitro+ rx580 8gb hynix and micron running at 34.07 and 34.20mh, core at 1270 and 1260, vdd 930 both, mvdd 930 both, mem 2270 and 2260, both running at 95w on eth.

Those calculators, you put 82W for electricity use, but that does not take into consideration other electricity that your rg/PC is drawing.
As I understand, lets say I have a rig/PC with one RX580, that card is drawing 82W, but the whole PC is drawing much more? Like 200 W or whatever?
That is double the electricity for the calculator.

Will a 6 ft usb cable work as well? Have you tried usb longer than 1 meter.
The longer USB Cables cause no issues with mining. ;)

Yea I just got 2 sapphire pulse rx580 8gb for 100 bucks each in mint condition but they suck wattage and I only get 10 cents a day on nicehash (the same as my gtx 1060 6gb but the 1060 take way less wattage) can someone make me feel better on my purchase? Lol. I thought I got a good deal until I plugged them in to see the low hashrate compared to how many watts they use.

I had some, but sold them because i got some vega 56, 64 and RX 5700 instead(for cheap, 300-350$ each) so no longer had room. they did great otherwise, around 32-33 mhs Eth and 90-100w if i remeber it right. i had Sapphires and Asus tho. i sold the RX 580's for around 250$, pretty much what i paid for them.

I have a xfx 590 fat boy running team redminer I get 31 mh/s. Using the tuning batch files that come with team redminer on windows 10.

I have an AsRock 580 and a few ASUS 570s that cant seem to bios mod cause the flash software keeps creating a different memory brand Bios and i dont want to brick them… so i get around 27 mh/s from each. :(

I tried to BIO mod my GPU but it just looped as it kept saving Do you want to run this program. I click yes, the and in the CMD, it just repeats the same command line, which is the folder the AIT flash is located in. Oh and these cards to day for anyone interested cost near $800 and the Black $1000.

Rather get a 1660 super or 1660 ti. Uses less power and very efficient. I have some of these cards but the 1660 series are some of my favorite.

@@HamiltonsExploration You're welcome. About a month back I sold off two of my 1060's and I bought 1660's. And it was a good choice. Increased my profitability and reduced my electricity costs.

Dear Hobbist this is your Frend California Miner I need your help i run all my GPUS on Precision X! nividia rtx3060s but i got 3 RADEON rx580 DOnt know how to overclock them and the gpu is not showing up on TREXMINER the gpu driver is in on computer and after burrner only shows rtx3060 when run trex miner i know its late in PENN hopefully you get back to me when possible thank you for messaging me earlier i appreciate your help.

You don't have to. Yet using the Polaris Bios Editor 1 Click Feature is a huge win. Check my Guides I have one out on doing it in 5 mins.

My RTX 580 hash rate is 33.56MHz with 900v fans run only 50%, temperature 49 degrees

2 Samsung memory.
1 has Micron.
Even using your settings I cannot get my Samsungs to pass 29.5 megahash they start getting invalid shares.
And I have not done anything to the BIOS.
Should I maybe flash it to default maybe someone else has messed with it.
Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.
I find that Team red miner gives you the extra 1-2mhs

Hi, thanks a lot for your awsome video. I can easily get over 32M for my card following your configuration. But the problem is that after my card reached over 31.2M, then the card won't be able to get any share or all shares will be in REJECTED state. Any idea why this happens? I tried different mining software, all have same issue. Thanks a lot!

Got 3 580 8gb. 2 Asus strix and 1 msi. Team red mining works unstable for me. After a while the hashrate would go to 20 ish. Any idea how to fix this?
Set the memory cl to 2000 and the core clock to 1190 with voltage at 875. Git the card stable then work up the clocks. If you are using windows you will have to bios flash and set the straps to MAX for the top three straps. RVN to the moon
The Ravencoin numbers look so different because its not actually gonna use 170 watts more like 140 with overclock. Same with Eth hive shows 80 watts but you're using more like 100-120 watts
Yeah HIVEOS is a good "estimator" but putting in your true numbers in the end is best.

Absolutely insane the rates of these cards now. I bought the exact same RX 580 for $100 on Marketplace a few years back. I also found another for $125. It wound up in my brother's gaming rig.

im thinking of making a rig with 20 rx 580 , so can someone help me should i make 2 rigs with 10 cards each or one with 20 , whats the best option . in total its 640mh/s which i calculated will give me $1051.54 profit per month
I'd go with smaller rigs. Easier to manage honestly. 6 or 8 gpu

Tomorrow i wil get a 570 8gb together with my 480 8gb it wil run ETH cant find a good deal atm for a 580 sadly haha
570's and 580's run very similar i have noticed, im not a experienced miner yet, but i run them both in one rig with very similar hash rates
@@Ichinix1 570 is running at almost 30 stable the 480 is almost at 28 but for me its fine now like the stable numbers atm.. maybe i’ll tru to set a different overclock when i have the time to do it
480s seem to be tad cheaper than 580s
My 480s outperform my 570s and are less than 1mh lower than 580s.
I kinda wish id went all 480s and saved some $$$

570s basically get the same hashrate and are cheaper, there is no point in buying 580s in my opinion.
400 is way to much for a 580 8gb card I have been grabbing them for 275 shipped
