Are you running any RX580? What kind of Hashrate are you getting on yours?
yes, got a used rig(first one) yesterday, it works 6 msi rx 580 4gb, but I'm only getting 7 mh from each one, its roughly 2 yrs old, I was in the discord asking questions earlier today, bc the mh is really low

I am running only 4X 580s at this time. I've paid more than you at $350 - $375 each, but after bios modding 2 of them, I'm currently making $9.52 per day at a HR of 123.
When I first started mining back in February the first rigs I built where 580 8Gig cards
12x580s- 30-34.5mh/s
8x580s- 30-32.5mh/s
Out of the 41 cards I have acquired 23 of them are 580s. I still feel like they're the best bang for your buck that you can get your hands on. Although the price of any card is ridiculous right now.
I'm officially a miner now!!!☺️ Saturday gave me hell, but been up and running smooth for about 24hrs now. 30-32mhs with 37-41w on 6600 & 6600xt. Just need more cards now

6600 is 900 620/630/1100 950. Hopefully it helps. Let me know the results of you could.

bro i have about 20x 580 .. you can get higher hash rate with the second bios . just turn the small switch on the side of the card ( beside 8 pin input ) then you get about 2 to 3 more hash per card . i notice this by your card number when you change it . the end will be W80 or 81 instead on W90
How are the mem temps on those xfx cards? I remember some vram chips has no contact with the cooler at all.

If im not using Hive, and my hash rate on my 580 as just 6-9.. Is that normal even before you tune them? My 6 GPU rig right now after crashed and gave lots of blue screens, I patched the drive and restarted the rig using Teamminer and getting 30 for the full rig. What could be wrong?

Are you using the original bios or did you flash your cards to get to 32Mh?
I always use Polaris One Click Bios Editor
I'm amazed at the energy cost at $0.10 / kWh or less unless I read it wrong
Typical rate here (Oz) would be closer to $0.30 / kWh on general supply rates. There are lower rates but only for domestic water heating or off-peak uses and running a mining rig would definitely not qualify for those.
I have a RX 570 4GB gpu, its broken bought from ebay and i paid high price for this card.. i didn't know back then. The GPU has VRAM issues, anyway i can get it fixed from someone?
I have 8 ATI RX 580 and windows is having a problem recognizing the GPU's. I went to AMD website to get the latest driver but it is still not working. Do you have any idea what driver works for these cards on windows 10. My Rig is has all the 8 cards installed

Been running my 6 rx 580s for a few months now. Slowly added more over the past 7 months. And I obviously used your video as a guide to bios modding :). Edit: I'm having trouble running a 480 8gb with my 580 8gbs. Any reason for this? This in on Windows.
I run a 480 with 580s. No issue. The 480 does run hot but I’m going low mem clock like 1750, 850 voltage, 1050 clock. Under clocking works best I’ve found for 480.

I have a pulse and a nitro+ they were both running 32.5 with same setting for 4 days the one started getting invalid shares but I am confused it was fine for 3 days straight...
Could it be another reason that OC settings?
Lower the oc, have the Same issue. You need to find the sweetspot.

I bought a sapphire 580 8gb off of offer up. I tried hooking it up and it doesn’t show up and I get no signal, all of the lights come on though. I like your idea of sending it to someone to try to fix it. Do you know of any good resources for that?

Hey man, just wanted to ask if on the power rates, does HiveOS take into account the power loss at the power supply? If my math is correct,
I dont think its that intuitive to know the loss, I rely on my voltmeter and power meter plug for most things. Efficiency is an important topic tho. I like platinum power supplies the best and parallel miner sells great ones. Fun stuff lol and I wish you the best !!

Hello! I'm 100% agree with you. I love my Polaris cards. They are so easy to setup and run flawless.
I'm also with you with not buying scalped RTX 3000 series cards. I have a whole bunch of RX 470/480/570/580. 18 to be precies, and all are working great 30+ MH/s. I have them clocked at lower clocks and voltages than you, I also have higher electicity rate, and want then to be as efficient as possible. Mine are reporting 65-75 W at software.
Also love older cards, I have a bunch of Vega 56s and GTX 1000-series as well as some newer AMD & Nvidia cards. The Vega 56s I really like as well, they are all getting above 50 MH/s, but it's a more work to be done to them. Even have some REALLY old (2013) HD7950 3 GB that is profitable, mining ETC 25 MH/s each! :)
My Rx580 8GB runs with 27 MH/s with 130W. Do you have any advices?
@@cemb.7782 That's quite high power draw for 27 MHs. Try to lower your core and memory clocks. 1100/2000 MHz and also lower voltage, to like 800-820 mV range if you can. Good timings also helps to keep the hashrate high.

Great Question. RVN or ERGO
polaris is great. bits be trippin still bets the farm on this tech. the thing is if you wind the clocks down you can wind the volts down and the efficiency goes off the charts. the original amd marketing had these chips at 850 . when you put them at 850 the volts goes down to?? when the market tanks - i will have time to look at this matter properly.

I have found NVIDIA cards to do much better with Flux than AMD
All fans at 100%? Do you normally run your rigs like that?
I think fans must stay always at 100%...it's a lot cheaper to change a fan pad than to buy another card or get your riser burned...a lot of miners that i know uses fans in 100%
I love the 580. I have had very bad luck with the MSI branded ones. I have three and none of them like being overclocked. My MSI 480 won’t even undervolt. The XFX are my favorite. Happy at 1150-1200 core and 2150-2200 mem. Easy 32mh
Don’t forget to amdmemtweak -REF 30 for the 580s
If you’re getting invalid shares it could be due to too much core (weird, I know) try lowering the core to 1150-1200 and leaving your mem at 2100-2200

@@basedpatriotLT use AMD memtweak. Give it more core power (900) and bump the memory to 2100
Out of curiosity, I presume you get a lower hash rate if the card is just in a normal system you use. But my hash rate is like 7 when I oc my card and undervolt it. It makes that big of a difference? 😳

I did not know overclocking and getting the right vram frequency is THIS important. My now hash rate is around 27-28

Yeah I bought a card then used the Polaris editor. But someone had edited it before. So I have a weird ass card. I mean I can't touch the cards memory or core voltage, but I can go negative on core, and raise memory voltage and get close to 13mh on Rvn rx 470
I would recommend looking at Tech Power Up for the exact make and model and put the stock bios back on it and start there.

I'm an IT guy and love tinkering. I setup a mining rig and love it. Spent about 5K. Now I'm sort of hearing GPU mining is dead soon with Ethereum 2.0. Is this true? I'm making around 12 dollars a day.
Eth is one algo. Mining will pivot to the next profitable coin

you can get A LOT more efficiency by dropping the cores slightly (and the volts of course). lose 5% hash but drop 10% of the amps at the wall
your core volts are too high IMO
my rule of thuimb is 800watts at the wall from 6 polaris cards the total hashrate being 180 megahash. tweak them down a bit

You were unlucky with the memories, none of this card have sk hinix memory, i also have 7 polaris cards (1 480, 2 590, 4 580), 4 of them have hinix memory, all making 33,9 mh/s, memory set to 2250 mhz, with no invalid shares.
Maybe this is a variation depending on the country where the card was purchased, all off my cards that were purchesed in Brazil have hinix memory, just one have micron, the ones that i have purchased from China, have Samsung memories.

Man the 580's are still just truckin... bunch of people like Bits Be Trippin been mining on them 6 years now 😍 7:50 not just hiveos, its the actual bios from AMD doesn't measure correctly. So it doesn't matter IOS, Windows, Linux Distro (such as hiveos) they all measure AMD power draw incorrectly as a result of the bios.

Getting a lot of 580s working in windows on the same computer was a nightmare on any system I tried to get more than 3 on at a time. I sold all of my 580s except two. The 4g I sold all of, and kept 2 8g. They are AWESOME cards, I just wish I had the stability in windows to run lots of them. Was paying $240-300 and they were solid performers. I made my money back and then some selling them, and moved to 3060's

@@K0nt4kt Give it a try and you'll never regret...I went trough some issues at first, but then, when you realize you can control pretty much everything on it even if you're thousands of miles away, and see those megahashes going up, there's no regret. :)

If so, your VDD840mV may lead to instability (increased invalid share)
Try overclocking at 850mV or higher.

As I wrote - I increased to 860V as per your settings (and MHS did not change)

Running my polaris bios modded rx580's on phoenixminer:
32,25MH @80Watt (hiveos), 1175 Core, dpm 1, 860 VVD, 2150 Memory, MDPM 1 with amdmemtweak --ref 30

@@basedpatriotLT I'm running sapphire Pulse 580 8gb. Every model and silicon lottery is different. Did you do the Polaris one click bios mod?

@@basedpatriotLT and if you use my settings the rig crashes? Cause you should be able to push a little more volt, core en mem I think.. Else I quess that the msi versions isn't as stable
The problem I find in that rig is that in 1 year (when Etherium goes proof of stake) your mining profitability goes down from 15$ to 11$ (mining the next most profitable coin)
It doesnt sound like youre also considering how diluted that profitability will be after all the hashrate disperses too. Im expecting a 50% drop in ALL GPU PoW coins at BEST. All that hash is gonna be going somewhere, and its gonna crush profits for everyone.

My dumbass bought 6x RX580 (4GB) cards thinking I would upgrade the MH of my complete rig. Much to my surprise I find out we can’t mine on the 4GB cards…for ETH anyways.
Guess I’ll have to focus on ETC or some other coin to get this money back. Should have read the description of this video before buying the cards 😂😂😂

I love my 580 rig too. The thing is solid as heck. It takes a bit to get them setup on Windows, but I'd rather use Windows.

I enjoy the hanging GPU Rigs. So basic and simple. Rebtech's all in one solution is amazing! Going to keep them as I do prefer hanging rack rigs. But because Rebtechs are so marked up, will settle with 2 for now. Word on the street is they are coming back.
