- Hauled Lucky's FishMaster over to Jupiter, Florida to troll for Dolphin for a few days. We trolled the break between Jupiter and West Palm Beach, the ledges off Juno Beach & on the last day within 15 miles of the West End of the Bahamas. There was lots of scattered sargassum but I never saw any bait what so ever under any of the floating structure which is never a good sign... but we managed a few knockdowns on Hott Pink rigged Skirts & some Dolphin in the Boxx....Great time on the water but some tough fishing...Enjoy!!

YourNextCast.....Thanks!! I try to get to Palm Beach every year to chase Flippa....This year by the time I made it there the Dolphin were already in Hatteras & I quite hauling 15 hours to get there!! I enjoy the troll over to the West End of the Bahamas near Freeport....Especially when the weather is good....I'm headed to the Keys in Marathon next Thursday 4 a couple of weeks....Hopefully some of the Dolphin will still be hanging in the stream....Have a good weekend!!

This area in Florida is the closest run to the Gulf Stream or the Blue Highway as I like to call it & to the West End of the Bahamas + it's a great place to catch Mahi or Dolphin Fish especially at Sunrise....Appreciate you stopping by!!

You only need to be a few miles offshore of Jupiter to be in the Gulf stream & the stream averages about 25 miles wide & usually has a Northern speed of about 5 knots & the water temp was about 83.4 degrees!! I can never get enough trolling...just wish I was closer to the other coast!!

Let's Go Fishing South Florida.....Thanks Icy!! I like to call the Flippa....I like the strange looks when they think I'm eating the mammal....LOL!! In the 4 days we were down there there were very few boats trolling...Even the drifters off the Juno ledges were't having much action ....that's why on Saturday we trolled to the Bahamas. I fished over there last year! We looked for the dolpin to film but just couldnt get on them.

I wasn't impressed with the chew....A lot of scattered sargassum but no bait under the structure... never a good sign...all the fish we boxx'd were singles over what I like to call the Blue highway!!

I've been trolling over half my life & use to keep the offshore boat in Titusville & West Palm at one time....It's such a long haul logistically I just do it a few times a year.....The Keys are up next month in Marathon. After 4 days of trolling with little results I'd have to say I don't know Jack & can't catch Jack....LOL....hope he's down in Marathon in a month!! If you want the Nastiest Inlet in Florida try Boynton Beach....that's a freakin' nightmare!!
@@WesLovelace Boynton Is bad but the big breakers in that shallow Sandy water Jupiter inlet makes me pucker up!
No argument there...Especially when it comes to Pucker Factor!! The boat I was on is not a good offshore platform when it's rough....You constantly take waves over the bow & the drainage is so poor you're constantly standing in water!!

The small ones we caught didn't do any jumping. I'm about to go back to the Keys in a month for Dolphin & Lobsters. I posted some videos last July on some bigger fish in the Keys!!

Scattered sargassum was the issue when we were trolling for dolphin last month as well. It made it tough for sure. Glad you were able to manage a couple...and a jack too!
Light'em Up Outdoors.....Thanks!! I'm use to the scattered weed but when there is no bait with it there's a very good chance of no fish. I can rig the baits to stay fairly weedless & we plowed quite a lot of it just to sea if the fish were around along with the 150 break & ledges off Juno....Nada!! All the fish in the Boxx were caught in dead water. On Saturday that's when we trolled over toward the West End ....Great time on the Blue Highway!!
