    I just got back into Snooker after 15 years thanks to this channel. After about 5 weeks of buying another cue and starting again. I went for a couple of hours of practice yesterday and unwind. Got my first 70 break from a line-up. Chuffed. We need more Hendry break building and positional tips. 👍

    I cant get over how likeable Stepen Hendry is, his personality was so stoic when he was playing, his personality never really came through, which was required to operate at the level he did. Im really glad he did this channel as we get to see how competitive he truly is and also how much of a gentleman he is. My favorite sportsman and snooker player, keep up the good work sir.

      Yeah, he plays a game or two BEFORE the challenge, doesn't hop in during the challenge to play randomly. So, why doesn't he put the cue to one side after the shared game?! 😅

    I do find the mindset of this sport so interesting, the first thing Gilbert said before he hit a ball was “I just gotta beat 16” his head was already thinking about missing, and that’s what happened straight away

    Stephen is the most gracious host.When he was on the tour I didn’t care much for him despite his massive talent,but this channel has made me change my mind.As for Dave,he has the skills to be a higher ranking player,I think he just needs to believe more in himself.I’m enjoying Cue Tips,hope Stephen keeps this going for years to come.

    Gilbert deserves more cred in my book. He has a fantastic cue action and stroke. Great tempo as well. The straight long blue from the green pocket at the crucible back in 19 or whenever it was is still arguably the most insane snooker shot Ive ever seen.

    Dave’s style is very easy on the eye. He’s a class act when he’s in the mood and with 10 centuries in the worlds he just fell short in the semis. Hope he has a great season upcoming.

    Really enjoyed Dave's approach to this. Really good controlled aggression to bring the reds into play. Really unlucky a couple of times not to drop on something easy. Great play and being from Tamworth myself always keep an eye on Dave's progress. Looks in good touch to me 😀😀😀😀😀

    Gilbert, for me, is one of the smoothest, purest cueists out there and he could win multiple ranking titles if he had belief in himself. It seems to me that he is always underestimating his game, where in fact he has all the shots in the book to become a prolific winner. He absolutely bottled the world semi this year against Wilson, it was his title for the taking...

      I wouldn't say he bottled it, he just run out of form. Almost every qualifier has done that, only 2 gone on to win it? Maybe if he doesn't have to qualify next year, he can keep that form going, but only if he can remain motivated for an entire season. He's gone missing so much, I wouldn't want to bet on it.

      Definitely didn't bottle it, it was an unbelievable standard from both, was level at 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, 6-6, 7-7, 8-8 and 9-9 before Wilson finally broke free. Wilson won it for me, he 'broke' Gilbert, he didn't bottle it

      @@chrisboggon9467 Gilbert was absolutely horrendous in that 3rd session and missed sitters in every frame, couldn't string a 40 break. Wilson didn't play very well too, but was mostly picking up the pieces. Had Gilbert played his solid match play game, he would have won something like 17-12.

      It would have to be playing pool though. It's not fair to a pool player to have him play on a snooker table. There is video of Effren Reyes playing snooker and he was about as good as me! I'm sure Chris is MUCH better but nowhere near pro-snooker level, or he'd be playing it. First round losers in snooker comps win more than pool comp winners.
