It sounds decent with other humbuckers. I've never played a stock Blues Jr. This one has upgradded tubes(JJ's) and a Cannabis Rex(Emminence) for a speaker. The C-Rex is a sensetive speaker(103db) which probably gives you more headroom than the stock speaker. I've been using it for band rehersals and small gigs(mic'ed). I also use pedals for OD with this amp and it works well.
@guitarplayntaylor91 It's a light overdrive. It is best for a boost. The amps I'm currntly using have master volume. I dial in the amp just before or @ break up and the pork loin gives just enough, . Just on its own your not going to get alot. I like it for some of the modern country songs we do. Overdrive @ 1/2 to 3/4, then dial in some w/clean knob. Just a little hair, then when I boost for lead , I get just a little more hair. The pups in this git seems hotter than most=more drive.
How do you like this amp with other humbucker guitars, like a Les Paul? I know it'll work great with other single coil Fenders, but I don't care for the muffled and mid-heavy sound of the stock Blues Jr. amps. Also, how's the clean head room on this amp? I usually use pedals to for overdrive. Thanks.
Man great playing!
You play well man! I have the same model only with the black top. Great value for the money for sure.
great playing

Very nice solo style! Can this guitar do hard rock and even some metal?
Thanks! It can do hard rock. Metal, prob., not a metal player, but I imagine in the right hands it would be good for metal.

@sawatchboy Yes. It's a nice guitar for the money.
Any tips for using the pork loin? I haven't been able to dial it in really by itself. Ive had success using it has like a boost pushing other OD's...
Simple question....do you like this guitar? I've been looking at getting one but have been unable to get my hands on one to actually play.
@guitarplayntaylor91 ....plus I have a pretty heavy attack, not much of a finess player, something I'm working on.
@Sodacake Thanks
@klv400 Thanks.
