Just be aware the App seems to take whatever default folder you're using for Music and uses that. And doesn't let you change it inside the App. I actually had to open Windows Media Player and switch from some weird directory I'd used while ripping an audiobook on CD back to Music. Mentioning this b/c the FAQ leaves this out. Otherwise best piece of software I've stumbled across in a while. Thank you for this video.
just wonna point out that the changing name method does work, sorta, it changes the way windows and programs in windows recognise the file, if you change an MP4 to an MP3 by just typing in the change, it will change it to a file that can be played on a music player or added as music in a video editing program. the file space is kept large because it does not delete the video part, rather keeps it but the video part cannot be opened when its in MP3 format, this could be useful if you want to use the sound for something only in video editing but still need the video for later and don't want to or don't have the space to make a copy. so the upside to using this method is you can recover the video if you need it and the upside to this guys method is lower space consumption, this is something he probably should have said but its fine. also a side note, this does not come from microsoft, as clearly said, the program is from "Venom Apps" and just because its on the store does not mean its from Microsoft.
Actually, if you paid attention to the video, I did mention that it conserves space. Furthermore by changing the name you are not changing the file you are simply changing the name so, yes, windows will perceive it to be an MP3 but it is not in actuality an MP3 it still contains all of the bloated information. The whole point of this conversion video was to be able to save drive space.

I know you did hint at it but it wasn't clear to anyone who would be just trying to find out the simplest way of say playing a video in audio player only, it wasn't meant to offend you or something it was just stating the easiest way possible, maybe the computer doesn't have internet (so watching this on their phone or somin) at the time and the person just wants to be able to listen to the music on there as it is in the easiest way possible. i wasn't correcting your video, just making sure people know what they can do if they need to.

Did not work for me - after attempting to run prog, I got, 'This app does not worked in snapped view'?? (what ever the hen that is??) Then, when I click on, 'unsnap' just below the above warning, nothing happens!!! What's up??
I assume you are using Windows 10? If this is a correct assumption snap assist is not activated automatically on install of Windows 10. Go to settings from start. Then go to multitasking and you will see the answer to your question. Turn on Snap Assist. Hope this helps

i couldn't find it but i found another that worked just as well but the downside is the app has ads but it does not interfere with the conversion
