Chris Farley could steal a laugh with even the smallest line.
He couldn't bring a laugh toSteven Seagal's skit. Segal sucked the funny out of the air.
I must admit, Nick has an incredible talent for monologues and funny jokes, even when they're a little bit dirty : it just makes the jokes funnier.
I remember watching this live and thinking the Segal crack at 3:00 was funny then, but now that I know the whole story, as well as several other Segal stories, this is truly hilarious
Come on this shit is even funnier today than it was when originally aired.

hahhhahahha, first thing i noticed was the damn suit. its like when all those NBA players got drafted around this time...their suits were ginormous but looked totally normal to us back then.
The sacks of manure that posted this video stretched the aspect ratio from 4:3 to some odd aspect to fill more of the screen and it makes it look very odd.
On a podcast with Tom Segura, Al Franken recalled that Seagal actually found out about this and confronted him while they both appeared on The Tonight Show. Seagal said to Franken, "Why did Lorne say that about me?" and Franken didn't know how to respond and Leno quickly responded with, "oh because you're a tough guy and can beat everyone up."
Seagal simply responds with "Oh."
I’m not a big Leno fan, but good on him for saving Al’s ass!

How bad was Steven Seagal? SNL people never have a bad word to say about the hosts. Questions about who was a bad host always get deflected, and if a host does poorly, the cast is always willing to defend them. But Seagal was such a jerk, *Lorne* was willing to go out of his way to take a shot at him live on-air.
