Amongst one of the casts in the series, there was an actor whose surname called Goodenough, not a common name. It was a few years ago, I noticed and made me stop in my tracks because my father who was in the RNFAA[no don't scratch your head] It stands for Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm which my father belonged owing to his passion for flying. If it is the one I know of, his father is called Alan so I am wondering if this was his son. My parents attended the wedding of Alan & Theresa down in Land's End. They later moved to the Thorpe Moreaux area in Suffolk and even made friends with someone I know in UNA E.Region[United Nations Association] From a previous spell of acting at one of the London Theatres, D.Henshall also worked with Kristin Scott Thomas, my Dad knew her parents. Very sadly, Simon Scott Thomas was killed, flying Sea Vixens and so also her step father. The world is a small place where the Fleet Air Arm is concerned. I would also be interested to know if Ciaran Hinds who was in the third series of Shetland, is by any chance, perhaps related to Lesley Hinds who was a fitness instrucdtor and also knew my Dad well. The name, Hinds is spelt the same way so I am keeping a more or less open mind. Barbara Gilbert who runs the RNAS Yeovilton Museum for the FAA, said to me last year in an email that the FAA has shrunk the world. What a pity that Tony Blair did the same for the FAA, an elite flying unit of the RN. My Dad had an illustrious career in the RN, amongst his appointments, he taught the pilots under his charge on air weapons. In 1982, some of these young pilots took part in the Falklands War. Who can forget Brian Hanrahan 'I counted them all out & counted them all in'
