I love how very informative this is can really take a decent amount of advice into normal cooking.
Wait? So steakhouses in the US are based on Australian steakhouses? Because a lot of ours (Australia) are based on Texas steakhouses!
Sam one particular steakhouse chain, called Outback Steakhouse, claims to be inspired by Australia. But really, they just have American recipes and put cute Australian themed names on the dishes like “Prime Minister Prime Rib” and “Victoria Filet.” It’s an ok steakhouse, but not great. If you want a truly great steak in the US, you’ll want to go to a steakhouse restaraunt that’s not a chain.

Did you ever season that steak?
I did not season the steak before cooking… as I mentioned in the video, salt and pepper tend to create a barrier between the meat and the grill grates. So for food styling, I prefer to grill an unseasoned steak to achieve very distinct grill marks. HOWEVER, before we ate that bad boy, I sliced it up and seasoned it with flaky sea salt and cracked black pepper! Mmmmm meat snacks 🤤 - Rishon
