This is my review of the Sofirn SC18 EDC flashlight. The SC18 is a 1800 Lumen, 18650 battery flashlight that is slim and trim enough to comfortably carry everyday almost unnoticeable. It has some great features like a battery indicator button, a charger status indicator in the lense, working cooling fins, and a nice, usable pocket clip. It is pretty reasonable in weight and size. Being not much bigger then some 14500 / AA lights. But you get the benefits of a 18650 like bigger power and run times. One thing that is great about this light is it’s preset modes that focus more on higher performance with low coming in at 100 lumens right out of the gate and stepping up from there. The fit and finish are quite nice overall and for under $35, this is a really great tool light that is hard to argue with much of anything major.

Great light, I'm a bigger fan of Convoy and Wurkkos in general but Sofirn is very good and this light is just an incredible value and goes on regular sales like right now for just $13. I think the criticisms in this video are absolutely valid but also 100% acceptable at the price point. It just makes for the perfect work light to abuse and not worry about, much more so than my current edc light the Wurrkos TS25. Even the cheaper Convoy lights in this class like the S2+, with a battery and the sst40 it's going to run around $20+ but at least you can then choose the 5000k version instead of the 6500k in the Sofirn. I'm happy with Sofirn offering this light in a basic but functional form for the cheapest possible price, I've purchased several now as gifts for people who will either abuse or lose the light and it's perfect for that while being extremely useful.

@Ace King yes I did know that too, seems like they share or use to share some models and they do share manufacturing facilities. I still prefer Wurkkos over Sofirn though, like the TS11 over the IF19/22A and the TS10/25 over Sofirns similar models. The only reason I bought some SC18 lights was because they were a few dollars cheaper than the WK03 and they are the same exact light. I prefer Convoy over both of them though, but it would be really nice if Convoy would bring anduril and some other features to some of their lights, I think the S21E is a good candidate and so would the S2+ or a whole new version of it and same thing for a new variant of M21B.

@Ace King the only difference I can see is Wurkkos offers the choice of 6500k and 5000k while Sofirn only has the 6500k as far as i can tell. I didn't realize that before but I would have spent the extra dollar or two to get the 5000k choice from Wurrkos. I really dislike light with a blue tint and even though the sc18s I bought weren't for me and they aren't terribly blue I still would have went for the 5000k wurkkos, 5000k is really close to perfect white and 6500k definitely has a blue tint. It's actually the same reason I don't like the SFT40 in my convoy L21B, I just recently ordered an osram culpm1 emitter so I can swap out the sft40.

And where is the outdoor review?

    Nice and simple review.
    I also own this light.
    1. Magnetic tail cap - Sofirn SP40 tail cap is compatible with this model. I bought one separately.
Also Sofirn at one point was selling SC18 with a magnetic tail cap with an included diffuser. That tail cap however is not sold separately.
    2. The rubber "damage/peel" on the power button is by design. In my case it had been there since Day 1.
