My 8 year old son loves your videos and thinks you should make a Transformer suit for your next project. He's constantly talking about how cool your work is and is now begging for a suit of his own!
Very cool! I am very impressed! I've loved following your channel. I plan to build my own suit eventually based on the mark 42 design. I'll get to it eventually. You are a great inspiration.
wow james, that mechanism you have designed has turned out really well. it would be amazing if you could do this for each part of the suit, and have servos to open and close the latches! Good job on the suit so far :D
When it comes down to mechanisms like this, james, you are the man. I have a few ideas for you on how to make the rest of the suit fix on better (incle
Really good video... I keep saying that every video haha. I got a question. How are you going to put it on. I mean; in the movie first the lower part of the arm is put on and after that the upper part. But if you fix the upper and lower part together with some screws and washers how are you going to putt it on?
This is going really well! I'd say that the suit may be almost done in 2014 but the machine to build it will have to hide somewhere so that'll take a few more years! Good job with it all though! =)
I'm sorry to bother you but I would like to ask how many bits sold one of the departments mark 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 7? please let me know I am a great fan of your videos and iron man's
whats the point of the open/closing mechanism of the forarm if you can fit your arm through when its closed, will you be flling it with electronics that will make the space tighter? or is it just looks, and in that case is it not a bit big, in any case really cool build
I have watched a fair amount of your videos and love them, I would like to see how you develop some of these pieces. For example, how did you measure those angles for the hinge piece so exactly? Was this a bit of trial and error? How did you get those angles to precise? Or were you just lucky?
***** Maybe. But even without any wind, never start spraying right above the piece you wanna paint. Start next to it, push the nozzle hard, and move it to rhe right...but then dont STOP above the pipece, move it all the way pass it.

You should add a few clear coats to give it that shiny gloss everyone adores.
Will you do some detail paintjob later, or leave it as it is with basic red, silver and gold?
Cool, think you could make a motorized suit up gantry for it too?
keep up the great work
were do you get your creativity from? were you a person who always played with lego or something when you were younger? keep up the great work
You're a true pioneer!
Small rack and pinion hooked to a small motor would allow it to be hooked to a circuit board ;)
where did you learn how to do all of this? did you just think it up?
as always amazing work
such a talented man! if he was my dad id defiantly be getting an iron man suit from him! :p
what do you do for a living? ever need anything from the USA but cant get it? I am in Arizona
Will you be sorting something out for the gap where your arm bends in between the forearm piece and the bicep piece?
Really good video... I keep saying that every video haha. I got a question. How are you going to put it on.

James, if you did this again now, I would recommend a kind of internal pulley and handle mechanism to pull the gauntlet shut.
my god, you are really into this

I'll give you an example... blue ray player disk tray assembly ;)
