Glad I came back to some of your old vids! currently making a nifty iron man x daft punk helmet, and wanted a hinge system like this. If I didn't see this, I would've used an over-complicated system I came up with.
I've just shared this video with the title: "Must Watch: More of what you didn't know that you needed to know, but will definitely come in handy sometime... and have you clicking another link before you leave the page"... Well done James, I love your stuff...
Wonderfully done, I had a theory that would be how the design of the first helmet was like, but you made it surprisingly innovative with the second. The first design seems to be meant for simplicity and the minimum of capacity needed, the second seems to be for more effectiveness and reliability. Impressive work Mr. Bruton. ^,^
Awsome build so far. I love yhe updates to it. If I was going to suggest something. Which its only a suggestion. Id make the gold much more metal/shiny. Make it look more metal like. That would be awsome...
almost 10 years later i feel like this is where all the ironman 3d printed helmet stuff started xD be me starting during covid it's very fun to watch all this history!
Thanks a lot I'm thinking about getting one for my iron man costume and just have fun with! I really admire you a lot keep building the sky is the limit
Hey James I really liked the video and I'm going to try to build the mechanism, and I could use your help. Could you make a list of the materials I'll need to make it so when I go and get the parts it'll only take one trip. It would help a lot if you could.
James, Awesome work. Is there any way you can sell a package of the 3D printed parts for the motorized helmet. I don't own a 3D printer or even know anyone that has one. thanks
salut James je viens de découvrir ta vidéo elle est super bien expliquée je voudrais fabriquer un méga robot et je pense que toutes tes explications vont bien m'aider merci à toi . Hi James I just discovered your video it is super well explained I would like to make a mega robot and I think that all your explanations will help me thank you
In sted of glue the Hodges u could of magnetise it so u could pull the face plate of like in the movies and u could still use the servo to move the face plate up
could you recommend a high quality 3d printer that is large enough to print a chassis and other parts for a 1/8th scale hobby grade RC vehicle? also could you recommend a scanner that is the same size?
Hi, I'm Tony and I've been following your videos for a long time. I would like to know how I can get the digital files to build the ironman helmet. Thank you very much
hello friend I wonder how do those suits truth 're a genius 're very smart look the same Tony Stark was amazed with all these suits saw a video of you of armor and said this is a genius What did you study to do that ?
on the servo you can get and or mod the servo for >180deg also you could go with a MUCH smaller servo also you need to lower your end point or use a smaller wheel on the servo its causing the servo to buzz
You are very good at what you do. You should feel proud of your skills. That 3d printer is really cool.. Having the ability to print what you need...versus mill.. makes it quick to build (retrospectively) I imagine.. and easy to modify the plans. Now if they would only print in low-density titanium.. Keep up the great work.
Omg James, every video you continue to amaze me, how you come up with these ideas is beyond me! P.s. that mechanism is coming along really well, keep up the awesome videos ! :D
Badass, genius. Love the mechanical sounds. Better than the silence in the film imo.
There is no way that there can be this much awesomeness in one video

9:20 where did you get such a thing
look on most rc websites they usually have servos
OhShorebud I think he might of found it, it has been 5 years 😂😂😂🤣
In sted of glue the Hodges u could of magnetise it so u could pull the face plate of like in the movies and u could still use the servo to move the face plate up
Are the 3d printers worth the money James?
could you recommend a high quality 3d printer that is large enough to print a chassis and other parts for a 1/8th scale hobby grade RC vehicle? also could you recommend a scanner that is the same size?
