I think I preferred the dialogue in the friendship. Haha when he came backk after this conversation I just remember him coming in and saying "Tell me to leave," and two seconds later Hawke was against the wall. She never grabbed his arm, he just grabbed her...and she was a mage. ^_^ made my day. However, I do congratulate you on standing for the aggressive approach. ;)
In Skyrim, a guard speaks without me talking to him. I heard Gideon Emery's voice. What comes exactly after? "Shut up Fenris." It came out naturally...
@LeeDeeMee And so far, I think I like friendmance best with Fenris. Probably because he's one of those "I'm all hurting inside" characters and I like the fact I don't cause him anymore grief. Plus after being with you as a friend, he says "I just wanted to be happy for a little while." It's very sweet and he doesn't do that as a rival.

This is 6 years old and it doesn't really matter but really, you're pulling Anders into this? The guy who got thrown away by his parents into the circle, got beaten, tortured by being in solitude confinement FOR A WHOLE YEAR do you know what that does to your psyche? His entire life he gets told that he's worthless and dangerous and deserves nothing. He wasn't allowed to love or have any self worth. He tried to flee the circle 6 times and failed, his friends were made tranquil even if they survived the harrowing (which is illegal btw but the chantry nor Templar care for what is legal or not) his plague is true injustice, and he fights for all the mages. Anders has never been selfish with Hawke, all he has done is for the betterment of his people, through desperate measures. Also he protested peacefully for 6 years in Kirkwall, 6 years falling on deaf ears, no one did anything while mages were being executed left and right for simply existing, they were made tranquil for the smallest offences. And you want to tell me his plague is bullshit? A whole group of people are being oppressed and slaughtered for existing and you want to tell me Anders is fighting for bs? I swear the DA fandom doesn't deserve him. His method were born out of desperation after no one listened to him, was it wrong? Yes. Do I blame him? No. I hate this dumb fenris vs anders debate. Why antagonize those two when at the core they want the same thing, freedom.
@@dnnu This! My only problem with Anders was manipulating Hawke. I hate when ppl pull the, "If you love me then..." bc that's just so freaking hurtful. But my Hawke ALWAYS forgives him bc I understand why he did it Edit: I should say that manipulation in general doesn't usually bother me. I'm usually impressed by it in fiction. But that specific type of manipulation is something that I hate with a passion, and it happening to a character I love doesn't help matters.
@@hinata1ize I agree with you, it was not okay that he tried to guilt trip Hawke into helping him and I don't condone it. It does fit his character (and how pressing his circumstances were) perfectly though so it totally didnt come as a surprise that he'd do that. We don't have to condone the behavior but understanding where it's coming from usually helps a lot. Anders is definetely not perfect, I just get sooo tired when people try to shoehorn him into stereotypes when he's so clearly more than that.

I've always been so unsure if I should go rivalry or friendship on Fenris' ass. The friendmance is so fluffy, and the rivalmance is just so... *steam* Stupid Fenris.
@LeeDeeMee Even friendmance is not as fluffy with Fenris. He is pretty much angry either way. I've done rivarly and it's alright if you like him yelling at you all the time. And he won't even look at you while you're making out the first time! You wanna try fluffy, try a friendmance Anders = snore. On my second playthrough now I constantly piss off Anders (he told me he felt like ripping off my head) and make nice with Fenris and the change is refreshing.
@Nehelenya: Thats because people don't know how to create a face to the standards of beauty in our society. All my girls and boys are drop dead gorgeous. My advice is to start with one of the customizable faces that is already good looking and then just modify.
@nquam7 Yeaaaaah, noticed that too. I think that's because this scene is remarkably unchanged between friendship and rivalry...all that's different is the dialog. His neutral face looks passable for the stuff he's saying on the friendship pass. So the animators just got lazy and gave him bland expressions for both? Seems a crime either way considering how expressive he is normally.
@XelestialDragon I think it's a glitch when Fenris looks away when you kiss him in the rivalry romance. Also, I can't make myself romance Anders after doing one playthrough. He's literally stalking you the entire time, hating that you choose either Fenris, Merrill or Isabela. But I still think Fenris friendship romance is sweet, while with the rivalry, it's more like, "I hate that you disagree with me, but I still wanna tap 'dat ass." ... No idea what my point is.

I'm at the beginning of Act 2 now, so I'm making separate saves so I can sleep with Fenris, then go to Anders and end the story with him (just to see how it plays out) and a separate save so I can end it with Fenris...again. I can't help it! Anders gets on my nerves sometimes and Fenris is so sexy!
At least with anyone but him, but if you had sex before BP. Then... Do questioning beliefs first before BP. The book of Sharlatan helps towards that, especially if you want this passionate kissy face. Lol

You hooked up with Isabella. Every other romance allows this, and Fenris' should too, but it's bugged. So, try again, and just be friends with Isabella.
