After Beijing 2022 games, I kinda feel USA's gold medal win was a fluke as it was decided through a shootout, something that's changed for the Beijing Olympics and future Olympic games to determine the winner. All of Canada's gold medal wins were from a goal, not a shootout goal.

    • @notoriouseagle1074

The game is Sochi was an all time collapse by the US and they were the better team in the Beijing game despite losing. Salt Lake was back and forth. Vancouver was the only gold medal game where Canada was the better team from the puck drop throughout.

미국팀이 이기고 난 뒤 꾸준히 흘러나왔던 Bruce Springsteen의 Born In The USA 선곡은 정말 백미였어요. United States Cheer Up!!!

For these American women winning the gold in Pyeongchang after Nagano in '98, it was just like they believed in miracles to defeat Canada which is a similar result than the US men beat the Soviet Union in Lake Placid, New York 38 years ago in 1980 which can be the new 'Miracle on Ice'.

At least now there's some intrigue and the US women's team gets some funding and bragging rights for winning it in 2018. Must've been sweet redemption for them after having the 2014 gold medal almost sewn up before Canada got 2 goals in 3 minutes and won in OT the prior olympics.

Both teams full of established veterans but also young hungry rookies eager to prove themselves. Canada's Laura Stacey, Sarah Nurse and Emily Clark all played great as one line. For the Americans', Megan Keller and Cayla Barnes from Boston College played awesome, Dani Cameranesi and Hannah Brandt made a real impression. Team Russia has just recently avenged their loss to Finland for the bronze and won the 6 Nations Cup so they are quickly becoming a threat. Congrats to the USA on Gold

Great game to watch, so glad this was posted.
My only criticism is the main commentator knows nothing about hockey, or if he does, it is not coming across in how he describes the game. Big mistake hiring him for a gold medal match. The color commentator is solid.

Congratulations to the best teams on the face of the earth, USA, Finland and Canada, I'm Canadian but let's face it, USA are on fire and the Lamoureux Twins, one tying the game and one finishing it, great job ladies♥️ Canada, Finland and the United States are always winning Olympic, World and U-18, North America rules in this Continent:) oh and Maddie Rooney, you're an amazing Goaltender, you are for a 20 year old, great job Maddie ♥️ Congrats to all three Teams!! The 🌲 roots in Finland are certainly growing in Women's Ice 🏑, watch out for Finland, but loves Finland too I do:) Why would the Canadian take the Silver 🏅 off, nothing wrong with Silver!!

I'm American and the idea that we "own the world" is so uncomfortable to me. Lol it makes it seem so arrogant and I know we get stereotyped for being arrogant. We're definitely not that great of a country. 😬

Never getting to see the men do it with pros was rough. Especially 2010. Our ladies couldn’t do it either and it just felt like canada just kept getting the better of us. But this one was awesome and I was so nervous the whole time.

To this day, I don't understand, when the women's game is supposed to be *no-checking* (!), how Poulin's hit on Decker (3:11 of the third period, at 1:30:45 of the video) goes unpenalized. The official is looking *right at it* the whole time. What does he think just went on?
