wow, I can't believe I found this gem! It's a miracle that the commercials containing the asbestos filters survived. kent cigarettes really tried to wipe all of the commercials and advertising containing the asbestos filters. thank you for preserving this! so interesting
That micronite filter contained asbestos, so it gave Kent smokers lung cancer two different ways. They killed my Aunt, 25 years after she quit smoking.
@@CBCyclescancer due to smoking doesn’t have to be immediate. Your risk of cancer is still higher than a non smoker for the first 20 or so years after stopping.
This is probably the only ad for Kent Cigarettes shown with the asbestos micronite filter. The other Kent ads floating around RUclips show the non-asbestos cigarettes. You can tell since the box of Kent for those ads say “NEW EXCLUSIVE MICRONITE FILTER”. Those are the non-asbestos versions. The ones with the asbestos filter say “EXCLUSIVE MICRONITE FILTER” without the “New” on the box.
After a hard days work, the Kent cigarette smoker knows it's good to come home to mesothelioma. And the wife will be happy to come home and stuff a pot roast in the oven after a long day of smearing radium paint all over her face. And look at little Johnny pouring his milk and buttering his toast at the same time.
@@mmsvoice They put asbestos in Kent's filters for a few years in the 1950s. They marketed it as the 'micronite filter.' The result of asbestos exposure is mesothelioma. My Dad died from it because he smoked this particular cigarette during the 50s. I hope you stay cancer free forever.
Interesting that nobody in the commercial actually took a drag off of a lit cigarette. I believe that often times the actors didn't smoke but were just selling a product ;)
The last thing that he does after saying that he smokes Kent cigarettes and that we should buy a carton is to cough into his hand. Asbestos filter cigarette.
Filters made with asbestos... oh how wonderful. ... you just have to love that guy "I smoke Kent cigarettes... " because I love inhaling carbon-nanotubes from the asbestos filters.
After watching this video I now only smoke Kent cigarettes, I adore the way they make my lungs feel, every draw is like a thousand loads of jizz on my chest. Just lovely.
I smoked when I was younger but all cigarettes tasted the same - disgusting Full flavour was "true tobacco taste" was vile - menthol barely concealed the taste in my view But I quit in 1995
Jonathan Blake had previously been the host of Kent's "THE WEB" (an award-winning live mystery anthology produced by Mark Goodson & Bill Todman from 1950 through '54).
I’m getting so confused. Actually there are so many choices nowadays. Who’s going to give me the best product for the money? This is making me so nervous.
from my own experience i've never found cigarettes better than kent in flavour , taste , tobacco quality , no harm to health , so if you decided to start smoking go quickly to the closet super market and buy a pack of kent without any hesitence because kent is the best , there is nothing like a kent
neither kent nor pall mall , neither chesterfield nor lucky strike , neither rothmans nor viceroy , neither alpine nor newport , neither marlboro nor LM , they all harm our health , but nothing like 🤔 nope , not a Lark but nothing like never smoke

TheRantingCabby I smoke for over 30 years, more than two packs a day, and not one single day I had the diagnosis cancer.
We tore off the filters for a fuller flavor of rich tobaccos, after cabbage rolls and coffee ok?

I noticed that to!! How ironic

If he really did smoke Kent’s from 1952 to 1956, then he also survived asbestos exposure too.

Everything to want including a death sentence.
“I’m confident Kent will give you everything you want in a cigarette” xD
“I don’t know, buy it or whatever. I don’t know what you want this.”
