I don’t think it’s as bad as you make it out to be, every 30 seconds you get a garunteed 8 bolt penance with power of the dark side giving it another 50%
I know this isn't technically the correct play, but a little tip I've learned my first few raids playing disc. Especially if you are playing the mindbender ramping style he suggests you start with. Use your mindbender ramp combo on cooldown. Like..... whenever it's on cooldown. I got caught up trying to pick and choose the perfect time and was doing horrible. now I've just started using it when it all lines up and it's doing wonders. My other healers can take a break while I pump, then they carry me while I'm in cooldown. Kind of like playing Arcane Mage honestly. you have a "Burn" phase, and a normal phase.
this was super helpful, i went disc due to shadow nerfs and i was basically doing everything you said on the frequent mistakes section. i felt like i needed 10+ atonements up the entire fight or i wasn't doing enough, i am just using radiance charges on CD instead of giving time to ramp and i am burning mana constantly single target applying renew on 7+ people all the time and was super frustrated when my atonement CD wore off before i could do any damage! Thank you so much, and I would love to see an indepth rotation guide for raid , subscribed!
I am really enjoying the new disc changes/play style changes. Finally doesn’t fell cluttered. I do think ult penance should be tuned so it doesn’t auto cancel if no Upsies :)

Shadowfiends cd is too long and its going to be a pain to reduce cd with mechanics. While i do like Uppies it can hurt you on ground effects. Having your boss tips is great. My first time in the raid is Thursday but until then I will be farming the branch. :D

Am I missing something or did blizzard stop allowing party frames to look like raid frames? The UI in the intro gameplay looks so good but i cant get it to work in a 5-man

Hey Jak, what do you think about the incoming changes to divine aegis? To me it felt really weird how blizz identified this talent as too weak in the last season and now decide to make it even worse than it was then, since it will be as if we could only put one point into divine aegis last season. And I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around that. Do you think it is currently op?
You mentioned a few times that you'd have boss timers in the description but i don't see a link. Would be really helpful to game plan my ramps. Thanks!
Hey Jak, thanks for the guide, it was quite informative, especially on the Overloaded with Light comment, which I agree that it's hard to find a talent node to remove to replace. With that being said, if I wanted to go all in on UP, what talent should be given up value wise?
Just trying to learn disc priest. I've played resto druid since wrath. I don't see any mention of renew in any disc guide. Is that ability not worth the gcd? Is there a situation where I should be using renew?

@@AutomaticJak omg i figured out my problem while watching the ramp/downtime sections. I didnt realize I could extend my POTD proc/ and why i needed to. So ive never been doing that and my heals have been seriously suffering for it. Now that I got that my HPS have shot way up! thanks for the vid

Harsh Discipline is such a sad loss. The new one feels trash, especially as we lose our instant radiance.

Seems like no matter what haste is huge for the big raptures
35-40% haste is ideal
