I still can't believe Pat Sajak is retiring from Wheel Of Fortune. ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️I'm still going to miss seeing him coming on the set with Vanna White, his conversations with the contestants, seeing Pat Sajak telling a contestant that they won a trip, etc.
He’s been at the position for many decades, that I wasn’t sure how far he could go at his age, and with his hosting career. I wish maybe just one more year, but with what he’s deciding now, I’m glad he’s leaving at a good time. He is always going to be that guy who was born to host this show, all throughout this syndicated run, of Wheel of Fortune.
Sixty years old, and I'm sitting here with a bit a tear in my eye. It truly did become something the whole family watch and joined us together for a few days a week.
Pat, Wheel just won't be the same without you! Best of luck and enjoy your retirement! I've watched Wheel in the evening for many years. Debbie D from Glenville NY
My wife is from the Philippines, came here 31 years ago. She started watching Wheel about 20 years ago and we still watch it together today. Her English has improved over the years with your help. Have a happy and long retirement Pat, you will be missed.
Secret to longevity was being so fun, thoughtful & connective! My grader-schoolers loved the show, my active retired friends and family love the show! Usually packing family lunches and watching too. As tou say Pat; "we'd like some postcards" of your new adventures! ❤️
Pat , even though everyone deserves to retire and have fun in our golden years you will be missed immensely! Wheel of Fortune has been my favorite show to watch because of you and Vanna! You have a great sense of humor! You take care and enjoy every day of your retirement ! Sincerely Pat Fenner of Puyallup Wa.
Pat, you're a true legend, in all the best ways. Thank you for engaging with us these past years. You'll be missed more than you'll ever know. Wishing you nothing but the best!
Genuinely love this show so much, and absolutely grew up building my vocabulary watching with my family. Thank you for the memories, Pat. All the best to you.
Thank you for serving as host for all these many years and I have enjoyed watching you for some of those years. Best wishes on your retirement. We will miss you.
I will truly miss you Pat. I regret never trying out with you there and now you'll be gone!😢 I love your wry sense of humor- always gracious and never at the expense of another even if they embarrassed themselves with a comment- you rescued them! And you look like my younger brother too!
Been watching the whole time. Talked to a few people in the past few days, face to face and on Fbook. Everyone mentioned watching with parents/family. And we all love Pat's sense of humor. Clips I really want to see are when people used to "jump" Pat. The one woman who picked him up and spun around. Thanks for so many great nights of entertainment.
No one will be able to replace Pat Sajack just like no one can replace Alex Trebeck. Thanks for a marvelous time. God bless you and all the best for the future. ❤❤❤
You will be greatly missed, Pat. And even though we have never met, you are so much part of our lives that I feel comfortable calling you by your first name. Congratulations on your retirement, well deserved. Enjoy it.
Like thousands more, my household of husband, wife and 5 kids and now their kids will miss you very much. No one can replace you, just like no one can replace Alex Trevak. But you deserve retirement and have a wonderful one. Come back once in a while and see us. You are the very best, thanks for all these years of super hosting of Wheel of Fortune.
You have to realize how powerful the chemistry of Pat & Vanna along with the flare of the nighttime version. Family Feud was dominating nighttime syndication in 1983 but nighttime Wheel not only knocked out Feud by 1985, but it also ruled all of syndication for a long, long time! Outside of daytime Price is Right's domination that also happened around that time, Wheel remains one of the highly interesting stories of television history!
Thank you Pat, your going to be missed. Thank you for all the many years of laughter and fun. I wish you all the best in your retirement. Hope to see you soon on something else????. God Bless 🙏
I will certainly miss the show I watched it every day even thow I did not win I loved the excitement of watching it. I love you Pat in enjoy your retirement you will be miss by many people.
Good name - from one Maggie to another 👍🏻. Though I haven’t watched the show in many years - as I said in the other post, I’m 52 and it was a big part of our family time with grandma throughout the 80s- 2000s
It isn't going to be the same without Pat. I've been watching since Chuck Woolery and Susan Stafford. I remember being upset when Chuck left the show. I had a crush on him. I soon accepted Pat and was happy to have him at the helm of the show. Then, a year later, Susan left, and Vanna came. I again had to get comfortable with another new person on the show. It didn't take long. Pat and Vanna became some of my favorite people, along with WoF being my favorite show. It was a family generation ritual to watch Wheel every night with my mom, me, and my daughter. After my mom passed away, I had a hard time watching it. Eventually, I got my enjoyment back, and it has again been my nightly entertainment. Pat, you will be missed greatly, but I wish you all the best in life and your newest adventures. Thank you for so many wonderful years of great and quirky humor. God bless ❤🙏🏼
So many wonderful memories come into my mind when I think of Pat Sajak. Here are two more: 1. Besides hosting Jeopardy on April 1, 1997, he competed as a contestant on Jeopardy at least twice for his favorite charities, including November 9, 1993; however, his appearance on the Million Dollar Celebrity Invitational Tournament on January 21, 2010 is one that I remember better where he competed against Elizabeth Perkins and Doug Savant for his charity, the Vietnam Veterans of America. I enjoyed his reaction when Elizabeth made it a true Daily Double and doubled her score to $27,600 after guessing correctly on this clue: "Kennedy called this 'the cause of his life,' and was hoping to see a reform bill passed before he died." Do you remember the correct response? 2. Another time I can remember fondly is...well, every time Pat got excited for the contestants when they won big money in the speed-up and/or bonus round, especially on road shows. But I think one of his best excited reactions is when a contestant named Michelle Loewenstein became the first millionaire in Wheel of Fortune history after winning the bonus round. During that time, it was, indeed, Wheel of Fortune's "biggest payday yet."
First of all I wish you the best in your retirement. It has been a long road for me too - watching you and Vanna. After all years trying to get a Spin ID. Finally getting one lol. Oh well. I am truly going to miss you.❤❤❤
My wife and I will miss Pat. He's so pleasant and quick witted. Seacrest doesn't have that sharp, quick wit. The only other person I think who could come anywhere near Pat's persona, to me, could be Craig Ferguson. I Think Ferguson could pull off the hosting. He has the chops. (And he he would be great with Vanna.)
That joke about Merv and his underwear was hilarious😂, If Pat hadn't have been a game show host he could have been a stand-up comedian... Never too late!!
I still think Pat Sajka should've stayed on Wheel Of Fortune for the 42nd season, the 43rd season, etc. 🏠🏠🏠🏠📺I'm still going to miss seeing Pat Sajak telling the contestants that they won a car, seeing Pat Sajak and Vanna White's funny conversations before the end credits, etc.
Boy, when I said they stuck with it and they did good I was pleasantly surprised and right!!! See you all on the other side? Receive Him in your hearts and then you'll Win!!!
I’m glad Pat acknowledges Susan Stafford from daytime version but bizarrely, he didn’t acknowledge Chuck Woolery from the daytime version from 1/6/75 to 12/25/81.
@@anthonyguarino4242 true. I also noticed when Pat mentioned Susan Stafford and how he felt she didn’t like working with him, that part I heard was true and mainly on Susan’s part. Word has it she didn’t like the hosting change at first when Chuck left and Pat took over, but Susan eventually did warm up to Pat before she left later in 1982
PAT SO SAD TO SEE YOU GO BUT ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END AND YOU ARE WISHED THE VERY BEST DURING YOUR RETIREMENT YEARS. I CANT IMAGINE WHO CAN POSSIBLY TAKE YOUR PLACE. IM 80 YEARS OLD AND IVE BEEN WATCHING YOUR ENTIRE CAREER WITH WHEEL.
Pat. We will miss you!! Your show helps keep my mind working . Your daughter beautiful. We love Vanna too! I think next year you should be a contestant on the show!!❤ Janisse Brighton Mi
I remember the shopping episodes that’s when I started watching it. I also remember Free spin wedge that was used to get a second spin if you missed a letter.
I'm love these interviews and YEAH - I'm so glad that Maggie is staying. I was already going to stay for Vanna - I've got to keep up with her and I enjoy her looks - she's fashionable - a real life Barbie, losing her Ken sidekick-in a sense. But this is a happy surprise - I hope she keeps us somewhat up to date on what her dad is doing - nothing invasive - maybe just a picture of him and his wife at dinner. Because Pat has been a constant on the tv for 41 years - I feel like wheel played during the summertime, too - maybe it was re-runs, but that is when I was most apt to watch it. When I was a kid.
Ty for all the yrs of fun n educational u given us njoy ur retirement n relax u earn it n deserve it now go have fun n solve the puzzle 😂 jk Pat Sajak ✌ God Bless 🙏🏻✝️
So Pat actually hosted Wheel for 43 years, and Vanna for 42 years. However, the syndicated run of Wheel has only gone on for 41 years. Thus, I don't think it's fair that the show has short-changed Pat and Vanna's resumes. However, I'm glad that he cleared this up at the end of the 8,000th episode (in syndication).
Or Maggie Sajak could take over since she did the puzzle board a few years ago when Pat had to take time off due to his intestinal surgery and Vanna temporarily took his place at the wheel.
What Pat Sajak's retiring Why did no one tell me I didn't know that so that means The Wheel of Fortune is about to come to the end which means the final season might be happening well we had a good one everyone it looks like the chapter it's about to come to end unless someone be the new host just like Jeopardy
Pat, you came into our homes every night for 41 years and never once did you offer to help wash the dishes! Have a wonderful retirement, as the best is yet to come!
It blows my mind that pat sajak is retired from wheel of fortune. It's making me sad to see him go cause he's been my favorite after 41 Years of hosting❤❤❤
Pat will be missed after he retires. Wheel of Fortune is going to look different without Pat being there next season. I hope that Vanna will still be there next season. She always look nice.
Thank you, Pat Sajak, for 41 amazing years on Wheel of Fortune. We will miss you.

Thank you for doing the Wheel for 41 year. It will not be the same without you. I am glad Vanna is straying.

Congratulations 🎊 Pat many happy years of retirement ❤

He’s very modest. He is the secret to its success.
