  • In this video, I talk about a project I worked on to produce a simple scorecard dashboard that ended up saving the client over $2M per year!
    It's a great example of how business intelligence projects are not all about data visualisation and building pretty dashboards.

    More case studies please, this was awesome. Like you said its not all about the numbers crunching and creating visualisations. It's a lot more than that, a real eye opener

    Great case study that shows the power of BI! Would love to see more such cases. This gives ideas for potential projects that employers could be made interested in.

    Great video. Love case studies like this that translate to real business value. I'm also interested to know how those automated ETL systems were set up. (ie., what tools were used, how was it done and who was it done by?). I know that is a little out of scope since it's more technical and leans towards data engineering. But interested to learn more about common ETL problems like you mentioned in the case study!

    • @LearnBI
      @LearnBI  2 года назад +1

      Good suggestion but, you're right, it is a bit too technical for this channel. In short, ETL tools are built to take data from one place, apply transformations to it and then load it somewhere else. Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it!

    • @LearnBI

      There's another case study coming up but, in terms of sample dashboards, for me that's not what's important in these kinds of videos, it's all about talking about real BI use cases. I'm thinking of doing dashboard building livestreams. How does that sound?

    What BI tool did you use?

    • @LearnBI
      @LearnBI  3 года назад +2

      A tool called BIME. I worked for the company who developed it. It was bought out by Zendesk and has now become Zendesk Explore. BIME as a standalone tool was officially shut down just over a month ago.
