Yes, and if you don't feel she is "there" yet, she's doing the right thing: playing live shows just fine at 17, like all the greats. Another thing is they've put together an excellent band that can clearly go on to a greater variety of pieces. The intro by Prince was just as excellent.

So true... I haven't heard anyone play with such feelings and talent in a really long time. I just heard her play scuttle button from Stevie Ray Vaughn. She is just phenomenal, and puts tears in my eyes. Trying to write this.

@@peace-yo4no you are absolutely right with your statement, if you played this for a room full of seasoned guitarists site unseen and then asked them “who’s playing this tune”? not one of them would say, oh that must be some young 17 or 18 year old girl who’s only been playin for 4 yrs.

It's obvious he is a jimi-inspired guitarist...that solo, the tone, the hair, oversized headstock right-handed guitar but played left-handed. Great audio recording btw. Thks. 👍
@solvenet - Huh? - Looks like a Gibson SG to me. Equal cutaways. AKA batman guitar. Played normal with right hand picking and left hand neck work.

my favorite thing about Grace, is she is 17 playing an instrument from early 60's. its sharing all of its pain and miles with Grace and she is connecting and sharing it with us. Sensational player.

I don’t think the singer ever actually listen to Jimi Hendrix sing this song. And what a missed opportunity for Grace to jump in to the solo as on the single. Very powerful this is just fumbling around.

Thought the guy who started the song played well. Not so sure about her. Making faces and twiddling with the knobs every 2 seconds doesn’t make for a very good solo. Didn’t seem to give the singer her due either. I’ll need to watch more and she’ll need to improve to get my vote.

I agree with with Andrew with time she could be great, I say this not because she's a girl, I'm fans of Susan tedschi, Samantha fish and Larkin poe, she needs to develop, I think some of the hype is her age and her appearance.

Ive heard the same 4 or 5 licks on every song. Great tone and feel but immature as an artist. Jimi 2.0 sounded great also. Hard to call her great whens theres a 100 great guitars in Nashville.

The guy in back is a great player. The singer sounds like a lounge singer and the young girl seems like she’s just fumbling around, noodling in key through an attempt at a solo. Nothing to say really.
