@@TheScottmaxI think it was intended as a compliment, since the song is from 1969, and I agree that it's a pretty reasonable match of the sound Billy Cox had on those incredible nights when BOG made the best blues rock ever!
17 years old and already so incredibly good..... I am 66, been playing blues on a Gibson for 55 years and she makes me look amateur already. Grace, you are incredible. I am so happy to have discovered this young lady.
I'm 66 as well. I was the drummer in the band, now I play guitar. I'm an absolute hack of a player so yes this young lady is special. All that hair with those big curls playing an SG with fuzz tone...I'm right back in the 70s!!! Fabulous Stuff!

It's weird how we can now document the first time we listen to artists that we'll probably be hearing for the rest of our lives. Today is the first time I've ever heard Grace Bowers. Committed to memory!
I have been playing guitar for 35 years and loved Hendrix , SRV. Don't underestimate this girls talent. People work hard for years to get half as good as this 17 year old. I have read comments that she doesn't deserve the attention, but forget she is a young woman ,close your eyes and listen.
Blues and rock are in good hands with this young generation. I can just sit all day and listen to Grace Bowers, Orianthi and Kingfish plugged in, sitting in their rooms and just jamming away. The legends who have come before Im sure are all smiling down upon these new rock/blues guitar heroes.
Awesome! So good to see Grace here (thank you RUclips algorithm!). I’ve been following her on Reddit for a good while and it’s so great to see her developing and getting more and more recognition 🎉 Awesome tone and feel! Love it 🔥
@@williamjenkins3670 "If you have nothing nice to say..." Listen, negativity, that's for politics and debate club. Not for videos of musicians. @@TheManWithTheFryingPan watch Tory's last video on triads. There is a blues jam in b flat at the end. Tory is a master of all styles. @@TheManWithTheFryingPan Tory is just in a different universe melodically. If you put the two in a room grace would just stop playing, and listen, as would any same old pentatonic parrot.
@@mattdelany6799 hell yeah I agree with all you say about Tory, I'm actually subbed to her. Literally can't believe my eyes and ears when she's playing. Just think Grace is great too. I've seen a lot of clips from live jams on instagram where she's improving way better than anything you find here on youtube. It's too early to tell but I think she could become something really special as she gets older. Cheers
Nice! As someone who heard Hendrix live in Seattle and listened to the original Hendrix version hundreds of times, I love it when young musicians like you play these great classic rocks songs really well.
I love how she builds her solos. She starts off sweet and slower and as it gets more intense she starts burning harder.. Awesome!! And then she turns around and brings you back down to earth! Will be paying attention to her in the future.
Ok, a great talent we can look forward to for years to come. Hope she makes a show tour here in South Florida, would happily pay the price of admission to hear her play live.
I think Jimi would appreciate this young lady’s take on an awesome song. Most try to copy Hendrix exactly, I love hearing other musicians put their own spin on Jimi’s music. Great improvisation, something Jimi could relate to. That SG sounds like a monster! Sweet, sweet sounds, that guitar! Oh, yeah I’m name dropping on Graces video, Jimi Hendrix and Grace Bowers in the same sentence, honor and respect!
Glad to see you on the Tube Grace! And, playing one of my all time favorites at that! Luv ya kid! Keep knocking it outta park! You've got the chops! You GOT this! 🤗💞🎸😎

After watching a few of Grace's videos, I realized she's far better than almost all the musicians she's currently playing with. She needs to play in a trio with Tal Wilkenfeld and Vinnie Colaiuta.

Grace opening for Larkin Poe would be an absolute night of fire.
